The Flash Builder of 4.6 to 4.7 upgrade

Hello guys,.

I am currently using Flash Builder develop iOS and Android application. Latest version of iOS7 has caused some problems in my application and I want to see if the Flash Builder and AIR SDKS latest version upgrade will fix itself.

I saw this upgrade is free if I bought 4.6, which is the case. So I filled and sent this form: https://adobeformscentral.com/?f=aqd5Yq * ONlcAvnasuWDB8w #

I then get a saying E-mail "has received your request for a free upgrade to Flash Builder 4.7." "You will receive additional information within 48 hours of the Adobe customer service."

Then I get another saying with "this response, we believe that your problem is solved and have therefore closed your case 0211769917"

But I have no news of an available update or something.

Could you tell me where I can get or contact them maybe back then I can re - open the ticket?

I think I solved this problem...

You must verify your account 'My Adobe'. If you look under "My products", you should now have a new series of Flash Builder for the 4.7 version number.

It does not appear that an email with a new serial number is sent.

I hope this helps.

    Thank you

This happens because the Eclipse workspace is corrupted. The best way I found to recover from this is the following:

    1. use the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to make sure that the FlashBuilder.exe is not running as a process. In this case, to end the process.

    2. go to your workspace folder (the default location is in your users folder "Adobe Flash Builder 4.5", although you may have placed is elsewhere).

Mine is c:\Users\grayson\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5

    3. There is a folder named .metadata (on Windows 7, there is a problem where it may appear as a folder without a name, the windows open because truncating the 'extension')

Move it to another location on your hard drive.

    4. launch Flash Builder to ensure that it has solved the problem.

    5. close Flash Builder (this writes the default settings of the workspace in the .metadata folder in your workspace)

Inside of the original copy of the you .metadata folder, COPY the following folders to the same location in the newly created folder .metadata in your workspace file by replacing the files and folders that are there.

    .metadata\.plugins\org. Eclipse.Core.Resources\

    .metadata\.plugins\org. Eclipse.Core.runtime\

(as I mentioned previously, Windows 7 may truncate the names of folders without the last part of the name, so you can see the two records that seem to be named "org.eclipse.core.runtime". Copying will still work)

    6. This will restore the projects, the workspace settings, and keyboard shortcuts. (available to dialog / will be reset to the default value and the external tool Configurations are not copied.) I looked but did not find where those are stored)

  • The Flash Builder debugger cannot connect to the running application

Good evening everyone. I installed my signature key, debugging debugging keys and transferred my token to the device and everything seems good, no errors except when I try and debug an application on my device. I click on debug, and it says it's installation. The app looks like it's opening on my device but closes immediately. The FB debugger continues to say "pending to connect to the running application". The icon is on my device but when I try to run it it opens and then closes immediately. I use the software 1.0.2 SDK.

How about configuration in the app.xml file or the XML of BB? Because you are running 4.5, you have the parameters of the solution defined to force AIR 2.5 and Flash 10?

  • Using the two PB 2.0 + SDK & BB10 Air SDK in Flash Builder 4.6

    Hello

Any of you have experience creating applications using the PB2 + and BB10 Air SDK in Flash Builder? How do you change the build configuration between two SOFTWARE development kits? So let's say you make apps for Playbook and at the same time you are doing apps for BB10...

Where do you set your IDE with these settings?

    Looking forward to your answers.

There is essentially only one way to do it: you first install the 2.0 + SDK, then the BB10 Beta SDK. This is how you make sure that you have the data of these two software development kits installed on your pc. The Flash Builder plugin will be the BB10 sdk.

I tested some of the components of the SDK BB10 on PlayBook OS 2.0.1. Needless to say that some features are not supported.
Note: When I talk about libraries and 'ane's, I mean those provided by the SDK BB10. The following findings are valid with a pre-BB10 PlayBook OS 2.0.1 is the last one I think. PlayBook OS 2.1 can be considered BB10, although some features don't work there either.
Here's what I found: you can use fuse controls, but the classes in the package "qnx.fuse.ui.dialog" do not work because the classes in the package "qnx.fuse.ui.window" do NOT work.
You cannot use "QNXDevice.ane" because "NavControl" class which is indispensable to the actions of the bezel does not work and the notifications do not work either.
If you use "fuse" components, you must also use 'QNXSkins.ane '.
The "QNXLocale.ane" does not work. 'QNXNetwork.ane' no test however. The framework of the call does not work.

Phew, that was some writing. If I missed something or you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Flash Builder debugger cannot connect to the running application

I've upgraded to Flash Builder 4.5 and now I get the error - old

The Flash Builder debugger cannot connect to the running application.
    Ensure that:
    1. for applications in the browser, you run the debug version of Flash Player.
    2. for network debugging on a mobile device, you have a reliable network of the device connection and 7935 port is open on the firewall of your machine.
    Device connection help

I get both on the Simulator (which is being upgraded to the latest version) and try to debug on my real playbook. There are a few other forums of discussion about this that suggest that the default Debug host IP is the usual culprit. However, which is set up correctly. I also added port 7935 firewall.

I am able to ping ip address of my playbook without problem. Any other thoughts on what I might have configured wrong?

Flash Builder 4.5 uses Air 2.6 for iphone and Android, for the moment, we can use only Air 2.5, so the compiler needs a couple of parameters. You have in the ActionScript Preferences tab build package-advanced - forceAirVersion 2.5 and under ActionScript compiler an extra line - swf-version 10

  • Password field Flash Builder 4.5 No. in the debug configuration.

    Hello

I was going through the steps to deploy and debug an application on the SIM playbook, and I'm at the point where I have to put a password in flash Builder, but there is no place to put a password. I have the flash builder 4.5 installed. Any ideas why the password field is missing? I tried to make a connection with the SIM anyway and got an error Error: Missing argument - password

    Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. The solution for me was quite simple: try to resize the small window a bit bigger and your password field appears

  • Flash Builder does not appear to be deployed to the Simulator:

    Hey guys!

So here's the deal. I am running Win7 with the IDE Flash Builder Burrito. I followed the guide on the BB step by step to create my first Hello World project. When I try to debug, FB seems to show that it has installed the successful application on the Simulator, but still waiting to connect to the application until it finally expires with the message "the Flash BUilder debugger cannot connect to the running application".

Host machine, I ping IP of the Simulator, and the mode of development.

I inserted the target IP address in the Debug menu (it's 192.168.88.128) and the debug host is the IP address of the host too (10.0.3.136). I entered the correct device as password.

Scratching my head here now, what Miss me?

Alright! It is very very annoying. I discovered that I was in fact trying to deploy on the previous version of the Simulator... Sorry to lose all time on it. Consider this a rookie mistake

  • Installation of the CF Builder 3 in Flash Builder 4.7

Anyone know how to get Flash Builder 4.7 and ColdFusion Builder 3 working together in the same instance of Eclipse, rather than having to install them separately as two stand-alone programs?

Here's what I've done so far:

I have Flash Builder 4.7 installed as a standalone program, and I wanted to install CF Builder 3 in its instance of Eclipse, rather than installing CF Builder 3 as its own separate program. I use ColdFusion in my Flex remoting stuff, and I often need to edit ColdFusion. Files CFC while I work on Flex projects. I've had ColdFusion Builder 2 installed inside Flash Builder 4.7 on our old server to test with no problems...

For our new test server, we bought 11 ColdFusion, and it came with ColdFusion Builder 3 for free, if I want to use instead of the ColdFusion Builder 2 I used.

I installed Flash Builder 4.7 on our new test server, and it works very well. When I install ColdFusion Builder 3, I select "Eclipse plugin Installation" and then select the folder "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 (64-bit)" as the Eclipse folder. (I tried selecting "C:\Users\LMacNeill\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7\eclipse" that the record of the eclipse, but then the installation program returns with "is not a file validates eclipse ' for some reason any).

Anyway, the installer accepts "C:\Users\LMacNeill\Adobe Flash Builder 4.7" as an Eclipse folder is valid, and it goes through its installation procedures - the Setup log * said * it is successful.

But when I run the application Flash Builder 4.7, I see no Outlook installed ColdFusion. When I open a. CFC file, it does not recognize as a ColdFusion file, he just thinks that it is an ordinary text file.

On our old test server, there is a file called "cfbuilder.link" that was created in the 'dropins' folder in the Flash Builder 4.7 folder. This file contained the path of CF Builder 2 plugins. So I re-created this file on the new test server and pointed the correct path for CF Builder 3 plugins folder. But it does not work. Still no CF Builder 3 in Flash Builder 4.7.

Anyone know how to get Flash Builder 4.7 and ColdFusion Builder 3 working together in the same instance of Eclipse, rather than having to install them separately as two stand-alone programs?

    Thank you

    Laurence MacNeill

    Ball ground, Georgia, USA

After a * lot * of installation and uninstallation of FB 4.7, CFB 3 and Eclipse of the different versions, I came to the conclusion that it is Impossible to install ColdFusion Builder 3 and Flash Builder 4.7 in the same instance of Eclipse.

I give up and go back to ColdFusion Builder 2. I got FB 4.7 and CFB 2 in the same Eclipse installation on my old server. I'll have to live with the fact that I can not move to ColdFusion Builder 3 because Adobe is ridiculous and will not support Eclipse correctly.

  • How to improve the performance of Flash Builder 4.5

    Hello guys!

I use Flash Builder 4.5 for my apps, but my apps have a lot of class and when will the compiler or anywhere, change that in my code the flash builder it takes a long time to build. How to improve it?

I solved this problem, I change the FlashBuilder.ini with this line

    -vmargs

    -Xms256m

    -Xmx1024m

    -XX: MaxPermSize = 256 m

    -XX: PermSize = 64 m

  • Cannot change the manifest.xml in Builder flash builder extension 2.1

In flash builder, I installed the extension 2.1 generator to build an extension of photoshop. Database structure automatically created the manifest.xml file but I can't edit this file in the editor, and if I change outside of the flash builder does not reflect the changes.

What I want is to add an icon for my extension.

    SOLVED!

    ===========

When you create an extension extension Adobe Builder with Flash Builder 4.6 adobe project, a ".stage-extension" folder is created but do not appear in the Directory tab of Package Explorer. However, the file manifest.xml in the bin-debug folder is shown giving the impression it could be changed.

To edit the manifest.xml file, navigate to the location of your project and find: YourPorjectName > .stage-extension > CSXS > manifest.xml

Edit the manifest.xml for the changes to apply.

  • Questions unanswered in the Forum Flash Builder

Hi Adobe - we have a few lingering unanswered questions in the Flash Builder forum.

I am looking for a download link for Flash Builder 4.7 - for the non-CC version.

    OR

Creative cloud version will work with my Flash Builder Premium of 4.7 serial number and do I just install it through the creative process of cloud? I really don't want to go creative cloud at the moment - but I don't know if it's the same file in Flash Builder 4.7 anyway and as soon as I put my serial number, it will take me off creative cloud.

So... looking for a download link for Flash Builder 4.7 for the serial number of my non creative cloud.

    Urgent-thanks!

    Dan

Thanks kglad. I ended up going with just the installer of creative cloud - which is very nice! He installed Flash Builder 4.7 and then it was the trial version - so the next time I opened it, it gave an option to add a serial number - I did and it worked. So I think we're good!
