The host of the firmware - difference between simple and advanced option.

Regarding host package firmware -.

With the help of advanced option, we can improve specific server as the MMIC or BIOS subcomponents.

When I select the basis, what it means... I can this card to a service profile and associated with a blade and pass the respective adapter specific to blade and Mmic and bios respectively?

Who is the best practice?

Simple or advanced. ?

Shyam,

IMHO it didn't no difference at all in that respect, to which one is the best. The HFP to determine the firmware of the various components through a policy.

In advanced mode, you must know the specific "hardware" present on the server that uses a Service with the created HFP profile.

In simple mode, ALL (cf cards, BIOS, CIMC, adapter, etc.) is selected material possible check-in a HFP, which will decide on the 'mistakes' of the user.

If you use advanced mode and you do NOT select anything, this piece of 'material' will simply not use the same firmware that others selected; simple mode is just easier, faster and error free.

The answer to your question is simple... 'Yes', the simple mode selects all what you need to manually select Advanced mode.

Note THE answers useful.

  • difference between tables and advanced

    Hello

What is the difference between tables main and advanced?

What are the uses of the two beans?

    Hello

OAAdvancedTableBean extends OATableBean to support existing features to the table that previously required a control by declarative programming.
OAAdvancedTableBean also supports declarative features not available with OATableBean, such as the scope of column in a table column header. Oracle recommends new tables be implemented as 'Advanced... ' arrays

  • CDC: Difference between coherent and Simple mode?

    Hello

I would like to know if anyone can explain the main differences between the two modes of the CDC?

In fact, we are interested in implementing a DCC ODI asynchronous Oracle newspaper.
But we would like to make sure that it matches our needs.

I understand that the simple mode is on a table and the consistent on several articulated together.
    But my questions are:

-Could we choose to log table for only some of the columns.
-> If in my table, I'm not interested in the change of some columns, I can 'say' to the CDC do not watch?
or the CDC can tell me which column had been updated?

-in fact, I would like to know what is the difference between Simple and consistent? and if the mode is just a Simple mode for more than one table?
Cause, we need to know what the source columns had been updated for each record, not only the primary key of the record being updated.

I know that Oracle CDC allows it, but I don't know if ODI enable us to see only the columns that have been updated.

    Thanks in advance

    Brice

    Hi Brice,.

AFAIK for a coherent CDC referential integrity must be set at the level DB (PK, FK).
Personally I have never used any logical key, so I'd rather hear for a few experienced comments.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones difference between SMS and MMS

Maybe a stupid question, but what is the difference between them? I like just text, so I use the SMS. What is MMS? I must say that I am in love with my BB Bold 9650! I had a lot of cell phones, but this is my favorite!

The only difference between SMS and MMS, it is that MMS messages have an attached data (picture, movie, another file) file.

SMS = Service of short Message

    = Multimedia Messaging Service MMS

  • Difference between AL32UTF8 and UTF8

    Hello

Our current database version is 10g with CHARSET = UTF8 to support Greek characters. However, the customer wants to switch to 11g (11.2.0.4.0) and the database of test created with CHARSET = AL32UTF8.

Up to now to insert Greek characters, we have been offering script mentioning set NLS_LANG = AMERICAN_AMERICA. UTF8 and he has been inserting Greek characters correctly. However, it does not work with the new machine. If this setting, execution of the script gives error for the Greek characters "quoted string not properly done".

    I have two questions here:

    (1) is there a difference between UTF8 and AL32UTF8?

    (2) settings NLS_LANG works on character set of database right? What setting I put for NLS_LANG allowing to insert Greek characters or script windows or linux machine to run?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Answered below:

-Oracle UTF8 is Unicode 3.0 revision in 8.1.7 and upward. AL32UTF8 is updated with Unicode versions in each major release, Oracle RDBMS 12.1 it is updated to Unicode 6.1,

Apart from the difference in Unicode version the "big difference" between UTF8 and AL32UTF8 AL32UTF8 has build in support for "Additional characters", which are coded using "Surrogate pairs" (also wrongly called ' surrogate characters"'").

Oracle UTF8 (Unicode 3.0) stores additional characters in the form of 2 characters, for a total of 6 bytes, using "modified UTF-8" instead of the "standard UTF - 8"(implemented in Oracle 9.2 and upward using AL32UTF8) 4 bytes for an extra character.

This "modified UTF-8' is also called CESU-8 .

Practically, this means that in 99% of UTF8 and AL32UTF8 data are the same for * storage * data. Only the additional characters differ in bytes/codes stored between UTF8 and AL32UTF8.

    -the necessary parameters are:

    LANG = el_gr. UTF8

    LC_ALL = el_GR.utf8

    NLS_LANG = 'GREEK_GREECE. AL32UTF8.

  • Difference between DBMS_XMLGEN and DBMS_XMLSQUERY

    Hello

Can someone let me know the fundamental difference between DBMS_XMLGEN and DBMS_XMLQUERY?

    Thanx

Published by: Apache on October 13, 2008 23:56

    Directly from the documentation:

    H2. DBMS_XMLGEN 125
DBMS_XMLGEN package converts the results of a SQL query to the canonical XML format. All takes an arbitrary SQL query as input, converts it to XML format, and returns the result as a CLOB. This package is similar to the DBMS_XMLQUERY package, except that it is written in C and compiled in the kernel. This package can be run only on the database.

    H2. DBMS_XMLQUERY 127
DBMS_XMLQUERY provides database XMLType functionality. If possible, use DBMS_XMLGEN package integrated into the C instead of DBMS_XMLQUERY.
