  I changed to use 8 EP EP 12 and am finding and reading that it is jumping from a "light year". I find easy to use and other things not so much. I am not entirely new to the DVD projects that I had several other successful projects with 8 PE. I've updated that I had problems of crash and a 12 EP seemed to eliminate these questions. Now, it's just a learning curve to know where Adobe has moved things, deleted or added new features. Which brings me to the new added features.

  PE 8 forwards I had knowledge finalize a project and added a menu of film, with the scene and the music selections. Now, with 12 EP, it seems that there is a "new and improved" version but don't quote me on that! I put my chronological markers, but when choosing from my menu movie scene selections that indicate are not at all what are the brands of my editing. I saw the option to disable the selection of Adobe, but that doesn't seem to work. In fact I can't even get rid of the selection of the scene that did get selected. He also said I could put my own scenes with 'add a marker control' but after looking on my own, reading some of the forums and online advice can't seem to find where it is, says

  Hi, thanks for your response. I can rephrase the question very easily: why I've been so stupid? My problem was that I couldn't see a link in the menu between the Menu scenes 2 template and the main Menu. It turns out that the link was there all the time (a sideway arrow just above the main Menu link) but I thought he was part of the link from the main Menu and never clicked on it. When I burned my project to a disc and played on television, the sideway arrow was a different color and, of course, another link... the link I was looking for.   You cannot control the mouse of the user outside the flash scene (thankfully), and I don't think you can detect the user with their mouse off the stage with a not installed (that is to say, projector or air) flash application.

  I have a slide that I use as a page of menu with links to seven different question slides.  This isn't a real test. This is only a demonstration of the different types of questions that are available.  Thus, on this slide menu I have seven clickboxes and the onSuccess for each clickbox jumps to a specific question slide.  On question slides themselves, I put the onSuccess and last attempt to return to the menu slide.  It does not work.  In each case, it contributes to the next slide in the question.

  So I added a slide to return at the end of the questions.  I changed the onSuccess and last attempt for each slide of the issue access to this slide back, which is empty. The onEnter and onExit for this slide (I didn't know which one to use) jumps to the menu slide.  That part works.

  But when the menu slide is displayed again, none of the buttons or clickboxes work there. When I click on them, nothing happens.

  Statement is not enabled for this project. The quiz is optional and the check box for each question answers report slide is deselected.

  I am using Captivate 5.0.0.596.

  If your questions are all subsequently showing incomplete in the area of review AFTER you have navigated to the slide of the menu, looks like you are breaking always somehow the scope of Quiz.  To check if this is the case, place a button on a slide BEFORE the menu slide and then try again the project.  If it now allows you to answer the questions that have been reported as incomplete previously then the question was in fact the scope of Quiz.  You need to stay inside so that Captivate be happy with all this jumping around.

• There is a white stripe on the top of the browser window that covers the top of the screen. I do not see the menu options or navigation, how do I fix?

  There a white stripe about 3/4 inch high in the upper part of the window. I can't enter the menu bar, or see the menu or a browser window or the search bar. When I click on the white stripe, it goes through the office as there is no such thing as the top of the program.

• Horizontal menu moves when opening new pages

  I have seven top-level pages and have used the horizontal menu widget in my master page. When I view the site in my browser the first four pages loading without problem, but when I opened the last three pages the menu moves to the 20pixles right. If I can open say page this page menu 2 then returned to the original location as it was in the home page.

  Can anyone advise me as to why this is happening. I also tried with the last four pages left in white, and the problem persists, so I guess that the content of the page is not the cause.

  One way that it could move is if the first pages are longer than the others and scrolling side displays or disappears.

  There are two buttons of almost identical bookmarks, one for the bookmarks bar and one for the Menu bookmarks (which drops down), which has a "circumflex accent" / arrow & text bookmarks when it moves out of the Palette to customize.

  Although I had (have) Microsoft Security Essential under my protection against the virus, I have acquired the Virus from Windows XP Recovery. Although there are long, I lost the functionality of system restore using Spybot, Malware bytes and MY, I think I've eradicated the virus. I use the computer in normal mode, and it seems to work normally. However, all elements previously available on the left side of the start menu, including MS Word, are no longer.

  I use a version of MS Office 2003. I can access MS Word documents stored on the computer and laboriously open a new Word document like this, but I get a message that there were a change in the model when I try to close any Word document. The guest in Tools/Options/save message is not checked and no auto-macro display in the macro area.

  Editing the registry is above my pay grade and I don't have the disks of office. Two questions: 1) any suggestion (s) rather than buying another copy of Microsoft Office?, and 2) what are the chances that I actually eliminated the virus?
