    I found this document - AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac - that applies to the United States.

    It does not contain a section "letter c".  Then perhaps, it clarifies the issue you mention.

  • Properties L50-A-138 satellite appears another logo of the manufacturer

    Hi all

    I have a problem with my laptop Satellite L50-A-138 after installing Win 7 ultimate 64 bit
    When I click on properties for the computer, he said that the manufacturer is LG instead of Toshiba.

    Any help to solve this puzzle?

    I read that the display that is built into the laptop was made by LG. This could be the reason for this other brand name label in the properties.

    But have you installed all Toshiba drivers and software for the Win 7 system?
    Very important is the installation of value-added package released for Win 7 64 bit!

    No doubt installation of VAP from Toshiba would change the brand image

    And when I try to load Warfighter of Medal of Honor Limited Edition I get a window saying:

    'Creation of device DirectX error' followed;

    Could not create D3D device of at least version 10.0 on card 'Intel(r) HD Graphics' chauffeur 'unknown '.  The error is DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPORTED ('East.').

    This is usually casued by not only not the minimum required DirectX support in the GPU.

    For the NVIDIA GPU, DirectX 10.0 support is required.

    For AMD and GPU by other sellers, DirectX 10.1 support is required.

    Okay, for Medal of Honor veteran it says my graphics processor does not support DirectX 10.1, but the fact is that I have direct X 11 which contains everything contains DirectX 10.1.  So I guess DirectX or Medal of Honor Warfighter is looking on behalf of my video card, comparing it to a list of compatible cards, my card has been customized by the manufacturer is not on the list, and if he refuses to try to load DirectX or Medal of Honor Warfighter?  I don't know if there is another way to fix it would be great, but I really want to update my video card.  I heard that the update one driver custom manufacturer can casue instability, but I'm willing to take the risk.  If I can't get a solution to my problem here, I would at least know what is my model of graphics card other than just "Intel(r) HD Graphics (core I5)" so that I can continue the search on my own.

    Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6642f. According to specifications, your computer has integrated Intel HD Graphics using the Intel H57 chipset (when a compatible CPU is installed). There is no driver that will allow you to play these games with the integrated graphic solution effectively very low power that is in your computer. The only way you will get to play these games, is to buy a new game rated PCIe x 16 graphics card and a new PSU rated for the graphics card. Please see 'selection of a discrete video card Dave_G Guide' for more useful information on this subject.

    I have a big problem in my laptop, this damage, next to the mouse, I have a swelling of the inside of the manufacturing unit. And it doesn't work now! What to do!

    It's probably a battery issue.   Take it in your local store to apple for review.   It is still under warranty?

    By the way, fill out your profile before asking questions, it is impossible to identify which mobile version otherwise.

  • Satellite A300 - Am I still covered under the manufactures warranty?

    Hello

    I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A300 off a private person...
    Am I still covered under the manufactures warranty? It has not been saved before to the other person.

    Each Toshiba laptop is under warranty for one year.
    I recommend also to visit the Toshiba page and save your laptop on site for an extra year of warranty.
    After registering your laptop is under warranty for 2 years.

    You should definitely take this attractive offer!

  • Possible bug found in hyperlinkctrl.c when you use the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse cursor in your own user interface.

    Hi people, I think I found a bug in the hyperlinkctrl.c custom control, after the update/upgrade an old project CVI.

    I found when I started using the "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" mouse in my UI, when adding a new hyperlink control.

    The error is recoverable error: ' from the mouse cursor is not valid.

    This error breaks in RunUserInterface (never seen anything like this before and I use CVI since version 3.1).

    This happens whenever I mouse - hovering anywhere on the Panel that contains the new hyperlink control.

    I also had a hack temporary to solve the problem, for now, I'll pass it along to this announcement...

    The hyperlink control's source code is located in \toolslib\custctrl\hyperlinkctrl.c

    The bug/problem lies in the service of reminder (of HyperLinkPanelCallback), specifically in lines 460 to 465.

    This hyperlink control wants to use the VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR as its default cursor when you hover over the custom hyperlink.

    However, if you already use 'VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR' in your user interface, the branch which verifies that you use what he thinks is 'his own' thread-safe mouse cursor ID, so that can reset it by using his "token concatenation" - created macro "GetTsvCursor", is not an 'else' branch to protect the picture when you actually use the cursor pointing finger... where the error that the mouse cursor is not valid. Here is the snippet of these lines.

    The mouse is not over a hyperlink
    If (cursor is VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR)
    {
    Reset the cursor to the previous cached cursor
    cursor = GetTsvCursor();
    errChk (SetMouseCursor (cursor));

    ... etc...

    }

    So my hack was to change the type of cursor to "VAL_CHECK_CURSOR" in place and place the cursor of "VAL_POINTING_FINGER_CURSOR" in three locations in this function, then rebuilt files x 86 and x 64.

    Hey Luis, finally win a free T-shirt of LabWindows/CVI with not only have reported this bug, but also to give the precise location of the source, as well as a work around?

    :^)

    In the meantime, I have submitted a bug with ID #545203 report to track down this problem.

  • I lost the disc to restore my phone and it is no longer supported by the manufacturer. Can I use the installation disc for my desktop with my laptop serial number?

    I lost my laptop computer restore disc and it is no longer supported by the manufacturer. Can I use the installation disc for my desktop with my laptop serial number?

    My title says it all. I have an old HP laptop that they do not send to restore the disc more (I don't know yet I had one; his old laptop from my brother) and I have an installation disc for my new PC. I have a Windows XP Home edition SP2 installation disc. However, as the hard drive of my laptop broke down, I don't know what version of windows it was. I think it should have been an OEM version and the sticker says it was Windows XP Home Edition.

    Now, anyway I tried to install my installation on laptop computer disc, offering series of laptop computer but now it asks me to activate. Will it work if I activate it?

    Thank you

    Unless you are lucky enough to know someone who has a generic OEM drive, which you can borrow, I don't see a practical solution for you.  I advise you to spend the money to buy one, even if you could find one to buy from a reliable source (not eBay!).  Although a generic OEM disc should work with your product key, there is no guarantee that it will work with your product key.

    If your laptop can be retrieved through a restore partition, and you can't borrow a disc that will work with your product key, then you have pretty much exhausted all reasonable or practical options.

    I finally did! I borrowed a copy of a generic OEM drive, through activation and it is!

    Thank you much for the help...

    Now I've done could you help me more? Say now, I returned the drive OEM back (don't want to make an illegal copy) and want to be able to use my current system installed to generate a system disk that will allow me to avoid all the problems I've had up to now. What would you recommend? I've read a few articles on other forums (I did some research!) but is a little confusing. I hope you could help.

    Thank you

  • diagnosis provided by the manufacturer or the installer is what I have to reinstall windows xp, help

    I get this message. Setup did not find any hard drives installed in your cmputer.

    Make sure that the hard drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any hardware configuration of the drives is correct. This may involve a diagnosis provided by the manufacturer or the installer running.

    The installation program cannot continues.

    Hello

    According to my understanding, your device does not detect the hard disk of the unit there are a few steps that you can try to resolve your problem.

    (1) turn the unit pressing the F10 key Dungeon and then go to the Diagnostics record if the hard drive is detected if so if please run the test and check if this goes. If not you need to reinstall the hard disk and do check it out if you have the same problem, then the hard disk is damaged, you will need to replace the part.

    (2) after that reinstalling the hard disk if the drive is detected and if the test is successful then you can try to reinstall OS again on the device.

    Let us know how it goes!

    Hello

    D: is not a partition backup of your machine.

    Acer has a time set up their machines to the way yours is:

    They had a C: drive for the operating system, a drive D: for data (music, movies, etc you would like to register and a recovery partition 'hidden' to reinstall the operating system and to make the recovery discs to do the same thing.)

    You can merge C: and D: as a whole, BUT save all data on D: first because it will be deleted when you merge.

    "How delete and extend a Partition with Vista disk management"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/95418-disk-management-delete-extend.html

    And YES, you back up the data on an external hard drive in case of hard drive failure, the corruption of the system, etc.

    See you soon.

    IQON laptop manufacturer had to cease their activities. Pre installed Vista - no disc. Vista will not start. Unable to access restore or recovery mode.

    Hello

    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

    And Microsoft sells more than Vista.

    Try this:
