OK, so everybody knows that we're stuck with 24 GB of SSD on the 1 TB drive of Fusion on the 4 k, iMac 21.5. Water under the bridge and Yes, not something extremely attractive according to my personal POV.

What I need to know, however, is what the (mechanical) part of HARD drive on this drive? I know that the model used by 5 k a 24 GB SSD + HDD 7200 RPM as their 1 TB Fusion option.

But what of the 21.5? Will I get 24 GB SSD + 7200 rpm or the (famous) 24 GB + 5200 RPM.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Sorry but I don't understand your reference to a 'port' for the hard drive.  A 'port' is typically a connector on the case of a laptop when you plug a cable any in.  And, in this sense, there is no "port" for the hard drive.

This link is to the Service and maintenance for your PC Guide: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5271152&docId=emr_na-c03404932&docLocale=en_US

Information hard disk, as well as the replacement instructions, begin on page 37.  Understand, though, that this isn't a deletion-the-cover, ease of use; Instead, you must disassemble the laptop.  Unless you are experienced in doing that, my recommendation is to have the disk swap is completed in an HP Service Center.

Here is information on Service Centers: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

    Good luck

  • Qosmio G20-114: what are the features of hard drive?

I just deleted one of my harddrives to my G20 114 so that I can work on my data while my laptop was being repaired.

My plan was to put in a case of hard drve 2.5 "usb. I was also going to use a spare hard drive 100 GB I need to act as a backup of the operating system drive.

However, it seems that the arrangemnt pins on the drive, I removed from my Qosmio is different from what I'm used to and it does not seem to hold in the external box. I guess also for this reason that the spare drive I used to fit into the Qosmio. I guess I must be missing something as this may not be the case here. They use some sort of different player in these machines or have I forgot something obvious?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

AFAIK the Qosmio G20 was delivered with S - ATA drives.
The HARD drive is fixed by 4 screws on the HARD drive carrier.
Did you remove this media from HARD disk?
This is perhaps a question why the HARD drive does not fit into the case.

  • What is the function of hard drive recovery?

A recovery disk drive is installed by major computer manufacturers (by example, Acer, Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) and contains the information necessary to return the hard drive from the original computer to its factory configuration.  For example, if you were to read the Guide to the user supplied with your PC and your PC originally came with Windows Vista preinstalled at the factory, the user's Guide would teach you how to use the recovery disk to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows Vista. • What would support other mobile next to Tecra A4 my HARD drive

    Toshiba Tecra A4 model number: PTA40E 01500UEN.

I have a laptop, the foregoing, bought in May2005, so seven years old and starting to show its age.
I have three hard drives that I use with the laptop, all internal, so I simply unscrew the cover on the underside of the laptop, unplug the internal hard drive and plug it into one of the other drives, according to what I intend to do. All the three internal hard disk are Windows XP, based, but with different applications installed.
This also works well for me if one of the drives fails. I have two backups etc.

What I want to know is, what other brand/model of Toshiba laptops would support my drives outside a for like Toshiba Tecra A4.

Could I connect my hard drives internal on any other laptop model Toshiba and they work very well?
It s only if and when I buy another laptop if used or new, then I might as well buy a Toshiba laptop that will allow me to plug it into one of my three internal hard drives that I currently use?

I understand I think laptop internal WHAT BIOS s should recognize the hard disk and the operating system installed on the hard disk. Who else has done and model Toshiba laptops will work with my current Toshiba Tecra A4 of the internal hard drives? Are there, is it possible?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

There are two types of interfaces of HDD: IDE (PATA) and SATA interface.
As far as I know the old Tecra A4 supports the controller IDE hard disks IDE should be compatible with this laptop.

In some cases the IDE controller would treat an IDE HDD up to 120 GB because of 28-bit LBA
Larger hard drives (> 120GB) are supported by ATA - 6 and superior controller for ATA - 6 supports 48-bit LBA.

  • Tecra S1: It is possible to upgrade the 80 GB HARD disk

It is possible to upgrade the hard drive on my Tecra S1 on a 80 GB HDD +. If Yes, what is the maximum size and can recommend a disk.

I found some info, and it seems that you can only use a 30/40 and 60 GB HARD drive.
I guess that the 80 GB HARD drive will not be recognized by the BIOS correctly.

  • What is the guarantee of a "Toshiba" of my HP laptop hard drive?

I bought my laptop HP Pavilion DV7-1175NR 12/10/08.  Recently, I noticed that my laptop works really slow, and the hard drive LED remains on permanently.  With the help of the reader of the window self test, it was determined that "hard disk 1 must be replaced.  Because I was not able to wait, I went out and bought a new drive.  I had to install everything from scratch, but with the new player my laptop computer functions very well now.  However, I would like to know what is the warranty on the drive dead?  I know that Seagate offers a warrantly on all its products from hard drive of 5 years.  Site Web of Toshiba said if one of its components (e.g. hard drive) are part of the device from another manufacturer (for example, laptop), I'll need to contact the manufacturer (HP).  So, that can make HP on my hard drive?

Hard to predict by all OEMs such as HP, Dell, etc. are not covered by the standard warranty available on commercial versions. The hard drive is covered by the OEM under the standard 1 year warranty, except if you buy the extended warranty which may be for 1-2 years more.
