I am DVD authoring in Encore. I made a menu with a background of film and two separate buttons (each links to a separate movie file). I did the buttons by selecting the text tool in the upper left of the screen, type a Word, and then selecting object/convert to button. My two buttons are placed one above the other. When I preview the menu in encore, I can select each button with the mouse. But when I press the remote virtual dvd, I can't select the second button. Any of the arrow keys of the remote control will allow me to get the first touch to the second (and vice versa). Also, whenever I press one of the arrow keys (or put my mouse on a button) menu glitches, of the music and stop for a second image distortion.

These two problems were confirmed when I burned a DVD and played in my DVD player on my TV.

The first video file is linked dynamically to Premiere Pro. The second is a .avi, imported and exported first in yet. The video for the menu background is also a .avi.

    First export Media Settings:

    PAL widescreen

    100% quality

    16-bit sound

    48 kHz

    Reminder settings:

    Maximum Audio/video bitrate: 8.0 Mbps

    Audio transcoding scheme: PCM.

I suspect that the way I created buttons is false, and that which could explain the two issues... However, both problems could also be separated.

If you have any suggestions on how to solve these problems, I would be very happy!

    See you soon!

Select the routing in menu mode button and confirm that the navigation is configured correctly. If you want or need to change it, make sure that the auto routing is turned off.

If it isn't, or if you have difficulties to check that, post a screenshot of the menu with button selected if routing visualization you can.

  • Menu backgrounds to be encoded first?

It seems makes sense DO NOT encode the menu background of an animation before being brought again since it will have to be coded once the disc is under construction still.  It should be essentially compress compression.

Is this true and how still treats the backgrounds for menus, or would there be without loss of quality by setting the background of a menu is a previously encoded asset?

    Thank you.

Here is the information that might be useful:

    1. If you import a pre-transcoded m2v file in the background assets of the menu request, only made highlights button in the reminder menu (which means no text or other graphics layers in the PSD menu), then still will not re - transcode this substantive asset.
    2. If you import an asset of pre-transcoded motion background apply to any type of text, pictures or anything in the menu also highlight the layers with the prefix (= 1), (= 2), or (= 3), then still will have to make these graphics in the background and the re - transcode (double compression = very bad).
    3. Still doesn't have the ability to specify audio video media for menu transitions, and separate so if you separate files m2v and ac3 (elementary stream) for transitions, you need to combine them into a single file which will be then transcode. (the components may not be transcoded)
    4. If you have a 3rd party encoder are some menus and encoder still make other parts of the menu (such as transitions), you can see a difference in colours between encodes. Colorspace by default of ProCoder will shift colors compared to the settings again. It is preferable to have a program encode all the assets from the Query menu.
    5. When you create menus in After Effects, I found the Animation Quicktime codec to be an excellent intermediate format. There are many glitches with Dynamic Link.
  • Menu background image disappears in 30 sec

    Hi again

. Here's another problem, I constantly met and I cannot solve.

When I use for my projects of menus ready when I play the DVD menus play ok but after 30 seconds the menu background image

disappears-> background turns completely black and only the menu keys remain visible.

What is the reason for this?

In the Menu-> submenu movement I put "looping" to "forever", but leave the value of 'point loop' as it is for example '0'.

I do not run into the same problem when I do the menus from scratch using PSD files. It tells me that the problem's root in the ready-to-use and some of their settings menus.

    Thank you

    Igor,

What you are most likely seeing is active movement (video in this case) ending before the other (Audio in this case) did.

    Now, there are two choices:

1.) keep you video PrPro and spread it (duplication of the Instance of it) until it fits your Audio

2.) take your Audio in PrPro, or Audition, Soundbooth or another audio-editor and shorten so that it matches your video.

Whatever way you go, make sure that the Audio does not exceed the duration of the video. I stopped it's slightly shorter than the video.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - one consideration is that most users probably will not sit through an Audio track of 4 min before pushing a button, unless it's a devil of a song.

  • Black background in the Menu and the bookmarks toolbar

Have you tried to disable (uninstall) the Personas add-on?
Do you use the Persona and the theme at the same time?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of your modules is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
See the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems and troubleshooting questions with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems

If this does not work in safe mode and then disable all your extensions and then try to find out who is causing by allowing both the problem reappears.
You can use 'Disable all add-ons' on the start safe mode window.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

If you have many extensions then you first activate half test extensions that half the problem.
Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it.

I lost the bar background tasks, start menu and help on my windows 7

    Hello

    1. are you able to use the icons on the desktop with success?

In addition to the suggestion of BurrWalnut you can see the methods below.

    Method 1.
You may have set the taskbar to auto hide, check the settings below:
    a. Click Start and select Control Panel.
now, (b) go to the menu bar of tasks and put in service and click on it.
    C. on the taskbar tab, check if there is a check mark next to auto-hide the taskbar.
    d. If there is remove it, then click on apply and then OK.

    Method 2.
Please check if you are facing the same question when working in safe mode.
    a. restart your computer.
    b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
    c. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode without failure.
    d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to start in safe mode of Windows 7.
    e. when Windows starts and check if the problem still persists.
For more information, see the articles below.

  • CS5 - trying to create a video menu background - rendered preview menu not to see the video, only bottom black.

I created my own custom menu, and I'm trying to attach a .m4v video (using the selector of whip) as the background video.

I created my menu using Photoshop, and the buttons work correctly. For the background in the Photoshop file, I created a layer named "background" and black - painted there the visible value according to the other forum posts.

When I try to get a glimpse of the menu, it is only showing black (with the keys works properly). I saw the preview and still couldn't see any video. Help please!

    Thank you

    Rob

Too bad, I thought of it. I used the rectangle tool to draw a black box over the entire surface, then converted the smart object layer. I'll leave this for anyone who might have encountered the same problem of beginner like me.

  • Is it possible to change the size of a menu background?

I would use my own photo as a background for menu and reduce its size less than the size of the menu.

The photo selection sticks on a backup and re - open but the size of the object returns to the full menu size when the project is reloaded.

If I have replaced a background in a Menu defined and only wanted it occupies a surface more small, what about 720 x 480 for DV NTSC Menu, I'd go to Photoshop, put my black background color, make new Image and choose the NTSC 720 x 480 (Standard or widescreen, as requires it) w / Guides. Then I would open my Image you want, drag it to this new Image and evolution with Free transform (Ctrl + T), to fill the area I want, flatten and Save_As PSD. This would be the Image I want to use for the whole Menu.

Now, if you want to see some of the original Background, around your smaller Image, there are two methods to achieve this. As the structure of the Menu PRE sets are PSD in Photoshop layers, and the structure is very strict, I don't know if there will be problems with either of these ways.

    1. Do the same as above, but select Transparent to the background. Then Save_As PSD to use transparency in menus pre Editor. If this does not work, go to #2.
    2. Do the same as above, choose transparency for the background. Open one of the PrE Menu Set Menu PSD and drag the background to your new Image. Drag your Image on that and scale, as required. Save_As PSD and that drag the Menu set in the menu editor.

To work with sets of Menu, which do not allow to add a background Image, we could open the MM (main Menu) and the SS (Selection of Scene) PSD in PS. Then we'd basically the operation drag on top, add their Image on background. I would then Save_As PSD, without Flattenng (very Important) and increment the first part of the name in some way. Do not change the last part of the Menu of MM range, or SS file names (very important). Create a new folder in the hierarchy of the folders under Menu DVD library and name it something like "my menu". Before you close on PS, flatten each the MM and SS, go to Image > Image size, choose 160 x 128 and create PNG Image size of the other PNG in the files of the Menu sets. Also note the naming convention of the files required for the PNG. Increment the start of the file name, to match what you did above. Place these PNG (they are "thumbnails" in the Menu Set Viewer) in this new folder that you created. When you start the pre and go to create Menus, your new folder should appear in the drop down menu, where you placed it.

Note: Save_As NEVER exactly the same name, as names of the games of your DVD Menu templates or you will overwrite these sets of Menu. The only way to get back them is to reinstall the functional content material.

If you get lost, feel free to watch the conventions of naming in pre, as a guide. Same for the order of the layers. The structure is VERY important. Although I do it a lot, I still need to use your Menu library as a reference guide. There is little flexibility in the naming of files and almost none in the order of the layers. The same goes for the folder/sub-folder structure.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - The same instructions should work properly in PSElements, but as I do not know, or have this program, I can't be 100% certain. With the operations described above, we shouldn't face a limitation of the EP - its inability to create layer sets (buttons). However, the PSE can change layer sets - just not, create them.

  • Cannot set a video loop of background for the menu

It cannot be that difficult to do.  I have damage animations.  Buttons work fine.  I can not put a video loop behind the menu.

    I tried:

    (a) alt + drag the .mp4 on the menu

    (b) using the icon for selecting the video option in the control panel menu for .mp4 loop property

    (c) by using a single video file to point to animate on for 2 seconds then set a loop after that for 27 seconds of video loop

Option C preview correctly and all, but just showed as a black background in the final exported .flv

Option A and B just did nothing.  There is no video vignette that appears, or whatever it is.

The loop in the audio file works fine in the preview and the final result, but not video.

I've looked through many tutorials and just may not know what I am doing wrong.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Should work.

I would try the elementary streams: m4v and audio.

Are you sure there are no other layer interfering with the motion? For example, adding a still in photoshop without making the 'context' works fine until you add a background of movement. Yet to replace the technical background layer, but luckily leaves your extra layer covering the motion. Probably not in this case as one of your options produces motion.

What do you mean by video thumbnails? You're adding motion to the mp4 and also animate buttons?

If it does not, use any closure and just get the movement of work.

Test your basic bringing in a motion menu and using the m4v that to see if can get motion.

What is your default transcoding defined on your 1280 x 720?

If you have not defined a quirky theme on the desktop (which Photoshop for most unknown), it could be that you have a video driver issue.

I think the first thing I would try is the following: right-click on the open desktop, choose personalize, and then save your current theme.  Now, select the Windows 7 theme, in order to ensure that everything is settled in a known way.

    The problem persists?

If Yes, then it is probably a video driver update will help...  Visit the web page of the manufacturer of your video card, look for the latest version of the driver for your hardware and version of Windows download and install.
