Menu backgrounds to be encoded first?

It seems makes sense DO NOT encode the menu background of an animation before being brought again since it will have to be coded once the disc is under construction still.  It should be essentially compress compression.

Is this true and how still treats the backgrounds for menus, or would there be without loss of quality by setting the background of a menu is a previously encoded asset?

Thank you.

Here is the information that might be useful:

  1. If you import a pre-transcoded m2v file in the background assets of the menu request, only made highlights button in the reminder menu (which means no text or other graphics layers in the PSD menu), then still will not re - transcode this substantive asset.
  2. If you import an asset of pre-transcoded motion background apply to any type of text, pictures or anything in the menu also highlight the layers with the prefix (= 1), (= 2), or (= 3), then still will have to make these graphics in the background and the re - transcode (double compression = very bad).
  3. Still doesn't have the ability to specify audio video media for menu transitions, and separate so if you separate files m2v and ac3 (elementary stream) for transitions, you need to combine them into a single file which will be then transcode. (the components may not be transcoded)
  4. If you have a 3rd party encoder are some menus and encoder still make other parts of the menu (such as transitions), you can see a difference in colours between encodes. Colorspace by default of ProCoder will shift colors compared to the settings again. It is preferable to have a program encode all the assets from the Query menu.
  5. When you create menus in After Effects, I found the Animation Quicktime codec to be an excellent intermediate format. There are many glitches with Dynamic Link.

  • Main menu works fine on the first play, does not respond when I get back to it.

I've set up a very basic Blu - ray project using Encore CS6. Almost everything works except for this one problem which I can't understand. Firstly, some information... I have two total menus. One is the main menu and one is a chapter submenu. As you can see from the chart below, my main Menu is set to the first piece. It's music that makes a loop in the background. Just 3 choices in the main menu: 1) Play All, leading to my calendar only (3 hours); (2) Chapter selection, which goes to the Menu sup and 3 falls, who goes to the final chapter on my calendar (#15). The submenu allows users to visit one of the first 14 chapters, and then there is a return to the main Menu button.

All navigation works perfectly when the disc is loaded. However, after the beginning of the timeline anyway (whether in the main menu, or in the chapter Menu), when I get back to the main Menu, it does not. I don't see any selection tool and I can't do anything. It's a big dead end. Composition of my frustration, this problem does not occur in Preview Mode. It only appears on my .iso file (and on the actual Blu - ray disc, which is how I discovered it the first time).

I'm a newbie with yet, so I am confident, he is a stupid little setting error, but I can't isolate it. My end in both menus actions are themselves respectively (example, main Menu is set to go back to "Main Menu: DEFAULT.") My chapters have no action to end because I want that they continue to play seamlessly entry until the end of the timeline.

I think that the question has something to do with my timeline settings. I am providing a screenshot of the setting below:

    Screen Shot 2016-03-14 at 8.48.10 AM.png

I tried to build images of BD with remote Menu my timeline put on the two 'return to the last Menu' (as shown above) and that the main Menu for the project. In both cases, same results... menu main dead again.

What Miss me? (Thanks in advance for suggestions).

SOLVED. I burned a disc test of the project so as not to waste the Blu - ray in case it actually worked. Taken at the House of a friend who has a Blu - ray player connected to their TV, and it worked exactly as it should.

The good news is that my project has been a success. The bad news is that I can't trust my playback device.

Thanks for sticking to it with me Stan.

  • Import the background music for the first slide

I imported a background music, but I need only for the first slide. It should be an introdcutory with music background and recorded spoken text flashfilm.

How can I limit background music to the first (and last) slide only?

    Thank you, Miriam

    Hello

Rather than import the background sound try importing audio to the slide. If you are using Captivate 4 or 5, you will then have an option for audio looping. This will allow you to have the loop on any number of individual slides. In your case, the first, and last slides.

  • Menu background image disappears in 30 sec

    Hi again

. Here's another problem, I constantly met and I cannot solve.

When I use for my projects of menus ready when I play the DVD menus play ok but after 30 seconds the menu background image

disappears-> background turns completely black and only the menu keys remain visible.

What is the reason for this?

In the Menu-> submenu movement I put "looping" to "forever", but leave the value of 'point loop' as it is for example '0'.

I do not run into the same problem when I do the menus from scratch using PSD files. It tells me that the problem's root in the ready-to-use and some of their settings menus.

    Thank you

    Igor,

What you are most likely seeing is active movement (video in this case) ending before the other (Audio in this case) did.

    Now, there are two choices:

1.) keep you video PrPro and spread it (duplication of the Instance of it) until it fits your Audio

2.) take your Audio in PrPro, or Audition, Soundbooth or another audio-editor and shorten so that it matches your video.

Whatever way you go, make sure that the Audio does not exceed the duration of the video. I stopped it's slightly shorter than the video.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - one consideration is that most users probably will not sit through an Audio track of 4 min before pushing a button, unless it's a devil of a song.

  • Is it possible to change the size of a menu background?

I would use my own photo as a background for menu and reduce its size less than the size of the menu.

The photo selection sticks on a backup and re - open but the size of the object returns to the full menu size when the project is reloaded.

If I have replaced a background in a Menu defined and only wanted it occupies a surface more small, what about 720 x 480 for DV NTSC Menu, I'd go to Photoshop, put my black background color, make new Image and choose the NTSC 720 x 480 (Standard or widescreen, as requires it) w / Guides. Then I would open my Image you want, drag it to this new Image and evolution with Free transform (Ctrl + T), to fill the area I want, flatten and Save_As PSD. This would be the Image I want to use for the whole Menu.

Now, if you want to see some of the original Background, around your smaller Image, there are two methods to achieve this. As the structure of the Menu PRE sets are PSD in Photoshop layers, and the structure is very strict, I don't know if there will be problems with either of these ways.

    1. Do the same as above, but select Transparent to the background. Then Save_As PSD to use transparency in menus pre Editor. If this does not work, go to #2.
    2. Do the same as above, choose transparency for the background. Open one of the PrE Menu Set Menu PSD and drag the background to your new Image. Drag your Image on that and scale, as required. Save_As PSD and that drag the Menu set in the menu editor.

To work with sets of Menu, which do not allow to add a background Image, we could open the MM (main Menu) and the SS (Selection of Scene) PSD in PS. Then we'd basically the operation drag on top, add their Image on background. I would then Save_As PSD, without Flattenng (very Important) and increment the first part of the name in some way. Do not change the last part of the Menu of MM range, or SS file names (very important). Create a new folder in the hierarchy of the folders under Menu DVD library and name it something like "my menu". Before you close on PS, flatten each the MM and SS, go to Image > Image size, choose 160 x 128 and create PNG Image size of the other PNG in the files of the Menu sets. Also note the naming convention of the files required for the PNG. Increment the start of the file name, to match what you did above. Place these PNG (they are "thumbnails" in the Menu Set Viewer) in this new folder that you created. When you start the pre and go to create Menus, your new folder should appear in the drop down menu, where you placed it.

Note: Save_As NEVER exactly the same name, as names of the games of your DVD Menu templates or you will overwrite these sets of Menu. The only way to get back them is to reinstall the functional content material.

If you get lost, feel free to watch the conventions of naming in pre, as a guide. Same for the order of the layers. The structure is VERY important. Although I do it a lot, I still need to use your Menu library as a reference guide. There is little flexibility in the naming of files and almost none in the order of the layers. The same goes for the folder/sub-folder structure.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - The same instructions should work properly in PSElements, but as I do not know, or have this program, I can't be 100% certain. With the operations described above, we shouldn't face a limitation of the EP - its inability to create layer sets (buttons). However, the PSE can change layer sets - just not, create them.

  • Menu background looping stops and black for a second before you begin the movement again

Help. I don't know that I did it before without a hitch. Yet CS4 I have a video file in a loop as background to the main menu. When it finishes its first loop, it stops, goes black comes back on the first image, suspends momentarily and then starts again. I created a perfect video loop. I thought that this could well be the preview but it did the same thing when I burn on a DVD.

Any ideas as to why it isn't seamless loop? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

There's always a break when a motion menu loop, even on DVD of Hollywood.  Generally however, a fixed framework of the last frame of the clip is displayed while the laser seeks at the beginning of the clip.

Without doubt, I misunderstood the problem initially.  I thought the OP was black during the break.  If the OP is to do a flash of black before the fixed image, maybe there is an extra frame included in the clip at the end of the sequence of Pr.  It is useful to check.

I recommend some sort of fade out/fade upward for the video of the menu query because the break when a loop is run is impossible to avoid.

  • Media encode/first Question Pro!

Hey guys, first post here, been with Premiere Pro and the CC for a few years now.  I've never had this issue before and I wonder if it's my source material, so this is.

First, I turn to a studio of local access TV show.  I've shot tons of things before, but with my cameras and equip, now I use their cameras that are not SD card or anything of the sort, they are connected to the system that create a RAW .mov file.  This RAW .mov file will show video and play audio if I'm watching it via VLC, but does not display any video in Premiere pro, once I import it into.  I thought Media Encoder would take care of it, but see in Media Encoder video black screen in media encode in the screen preview and once completed.  The original material is not good but that shouldn't matter and give as much information as possible, the cameras there are more than ten years.

The .mov RAW file's Video bitrate audio and 26318 Kbps to 1536 kbps 48 kHz.  The computer I use is an Intel Core i7 - 4770 K CPU

@3. 5 GHz with 16 GB of RAM.  I still use windows 7 64-bit on this system.  Now, I tried the same thing on my computer edition laptop and the same results.  The laptop is completely up-to-date for Premiere Pro and Media Encoder also.

I'm waiting for the tech guy from the studio back to me, but it is not today and I should be changing this!  Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?  I've been googling and check the codecs to see how I can solve this problem, but nothing I've tried up to now does not work.  Soon, I can reinstall just the whole thing (my internet is very slow so been avoiding that, will have to do it while I SLEEP).  Thank you for your time and your advice!

  • My motion menu background is not moving?

I know how to do this, but it is not mobile. I have 15 second video, I used before. It is as an asset, I assign under the Properties menu, it takes 15 seconds and I 'ran for always verified"and zero'ed on the loop of the time start. I ran 'make' in the preview in real time, but it does not move. I have advanced and makes the thought of DVD that it will be provide here but no movement.

On the timeline in the still, I can double click on the asset and it brings up a small player in the upper left corner of the screen. I hit the play arrow and he plays a lot the whole 15 seconds so I know well, a mov file is OK. Don't just move in the real menu. What Miss me?

    Thank you

    Steve

BTW, I'm still running by starting it as an administrator. Thank you!

I wonder if that's your problem.

The problem that I and many others learn the hard way is that you cannot add a picture as a background layer of alternatives in addition to the background layer and then add motion. Still replaces the layer below with the motion, but sees the top layer which extends upwards movement of the image. This problem also results if the layer "background" is not the bottom of the pile.

  • Why encoder first and media import .avi files

I am trying to edit videos in .avi format, but first will not support, so I went to the media encoder to change the format, but who also won't let me import the files. What can I do about it? Furthermore, I have the trial version CC for the two

[Left the forum Cloud/Installer generic for program specific forum... MOD]

I had about bet that those who are VFR... rate variable... and PrPro is only stable CFR edition... constant cadence. Your are welcome, to report a bug/feature on it as if I do not use this material, MUCH as you do, some international competitions of the games work with a budget of hundreds of thousands USD... work definitely 'pro '.

    https://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/mmForm/index.cfm?name=wishform

Now... to work in PrPro, Handbrake can convert... and Yes to convert the audio also, there is an option "preserve original" on the auto program that involved many people upward, as if the sound is VFR and the CFR video then it does not work either.

I created my own custom menu, and I'm trying to attach a .m4v video (using the selector of whip) as the background video.

I created my menu using Photoshop, and the buttons work correctly. For the background in the Photoshop file, I created a layer named "background" and black - painted there the visible value according to the other forum posts.

When I try to get a glimpse of the menu, it is only showing black (with the keys works properly). I saw the preview and still couldn't see any video. Help please!

Too bad, I thought of it. I used the rectangle tool to draw a black box over the entire surface, then converted the smart object layer. I'll leave this for anyone who might have encountered the same problem of beginner like me.

  • Menu background - chapter missing image

    Hello world

Here is a recurring problem with my DVD PrE9 menus, I put an image in the background of my main menu and the same image in the menu of chapters, and for some reason, the system never keeps in memory the image of chapter and displays the default background of the model. No idea why?

    1.png2.png

You're welcome, and I am pleased that the suggestion has worked for you.

It IS a 'solution', but if you can get the complete project, this is the important part.

If I understand correctly, Adobe addressed problems with some of the sets of Menu the pre 9 (and perhaps earlier), the pre 10. I can't say that EVERYTHING is "fixed" now, but it doesn't seem to be the best.

If you got your project finished with the workaround, you might want to mark it as "Answered."

    Good luck
