The ODI 11 g integration Active Directory

Hello experts.

ODI 11 g integration Active Directory requires any separate identity under license of Oralce management component to be part of the technological landscape, so that integration to be achieved - or he will communicate directly with Active directory.

This will include security based on roles in ODI - or is it only the authentication user name?

see you soon,

John

Hi John,.

Please check the doc https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=1510392.1&displayIndex=1

The user should create natively studio and privileges also benefit from studio as well... just authentication of connection occur with Active Directory.

I hope this helps!

See you soon!

  • Integrating Active Directory and UCS Manager

I'm looking to create an LDAP authentication provider in the UCS Manager that will authenticate users in Active Directory. I see the configuration guide UCS that a schema change is required to add a new attribute for user accounts and the guide details what the new attribute should be. However there are no detailed instructions on how to make the change to AD. I imagine some sort of import LDIFDE is required, but does anyone have more detailed steps on how to do it?

    Thank you

You can ssh in your UCS, go to the NxOS prompt and test authentication as follows:

Laurel - A (nxos) # test cpaggen aaa cisco group ldap
    the user has been authenticated
Laurel - A (nxos) # test aaa group ldap cpaggen cisco1
    user authentication failed
Laurel - A (nxos) # test aaa group ldap foo doesntexist
    user authentication failed
    Laurel-a. (nxos) #

Make sure that this part of work. The role assignment comes from CiscoAVPair and the value must be a shell: roles = 'admin' If you want the user to be an administrator. CiscoAVPair must be an attribute of the user object. I've attached a screenshot of Wireshark for a successful authentication and authorization.

You will also find the definition of the user and configuration of my UCS.

    Hi all

I need to know if I can integrate Single Sign On for my Cisco VPN Client v.5 with my Active Directory which run on windows 2008

No, unfortunately, Single Sign On is only supported on Clientless SSL VPN (WebVPN), not on the IPSec VPN Client AnyConnect VPN Client.

  • OAM and MS integration Active Directory on non-Windows Server environment

I begin by saying that I'm dealing with a heterogeneous environment here where several systems are managed by different management levels. Our Oracle systems chose to go all * nix (Solaris Oracle and Red Hat Linux) and so we do not have a single Windows Server in our Oracle services and would really like to keep it this way that we prefer to keep a uniform platform in all of our Oracle servers.  However, the side our Department Office has chosen to use Microsoft Active Directory, and now we want to integrate and perform authentication against it for our protected sites OAM.  We are in the initial phase of installation, but we didn't want to implement a critical server like OAM on the Windows platform and focus rather OAM running on a Red Hat Linux server to Active Directory.  We will also use OID as run us portal but do not want to use it as our authority for Oracle products authentication (local policy is that Active Directory is the authority of the credential is valid on the site as we head towards the true Single Sign On our desktop and web applications).  I have a few questions.

    1. it is possible using native or to run the version of Windows of OAM?
    2. If you must run OAM on Windows to use AD for authentication, is it possible to install the Windows of OAM version as kind of an interface for our main server of OAM running under Red Hat Linux to make the AD Auth?
    3. can it be done using some kind of interface such as Oracle Virtual Directory in interface with the interface LDAP to Active Directory MS?

    Hi David,

    Answers online

    1. it is possible using native or to run the version of Windows of OAM?
You can run all servers in OAM on * nix and just point to AD as a source of data on the machine: port AD running on OAM. There is no need for the components of the OAM on Windows.

    2. If you must run OAM on Windows to use AD for authentication, is it possible to install the Windows of OAM version as kind of an interface for our main server of OAM running under Red Hat Linux to make the AD Auth
As above, this is not necessary.

    3. can it be done using some kind of interface such as Oracle Virtual Directory in interface with the interface LDAP to Active Directory MS?
Yes, it is quite possible. Even if it is not necessary in your situation, it provides more flexibility front the user store with OVD, for example when the addition/change of name of Windows domains, or by specifying some branches for users and so on.

  • "Weblogic" user ID does not work after integration Active Directory ID

    Hello

I recently joined Active Users Dir to OBIEE successfully (after trying too many things too many times).

But now the problem is that I am not able to connect to the responses of BI (where I create dashboards and reports) using the id "Weblogic.

I can connect to Weblogic (WLS) and Manager of the company (GE) but not to the responses of BI using the id "Weblogic.

Also, I can connect to BI answers using the AD users too.

Seems to me that the multiple authentication does not work.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    JD

I had (virtualize = true) who already have. But this time I did a complete "Stop the Services" & "Start service" rather than a "reboot" of EM.

This helped. Now I can use the id "weblogic.

  • Authenticate the ACS 5.2 administrators Active Directory?

Is this possible?  Rather that of maintainng local accounts is possible to authenticate the admins against AD?  I want to talk to the ACS itself to be clear server administrators.

Not that I know, pretty sure it's local only.

The irony of this kills just me, after you unroll the centralized authentication and AAA, you must maintain a local database of admins for the box itself!

    Painful!

  • How to add the CHT to TMS in Active Directory

    Hi all

I am trying to add a TC to a TMS as a recording device, but it ends with an error "wrong username or password".

Both TCS and TMS belong to a same ad (test.local), so I tried "domain/username" and "password", "[email protected] / * /" and "password", or simply "username" and "password", but none of them worked.

Of course, I have already confirmed for TCS HTTP admin account is valid.

Should I change configuration or something to add the CHT?

    TMS Version: 14.5.0
    TCS v6.1

    Kind regards

    Kotaro

    Hello Kotaro

TMS uses the API TCS counts, not Windows.

You must login in TCS Configuration > Site Settings > API > change password for the API

  • 5.2 ACS does not check the Active directory changes

    Hi all

I work with ACS 5.2 and using Radius Authentication client vpn.

The authentication method used is Active Directory in a Windows environment with multiple domains in the same forest.

My problem occurs when I change from one group to the other user in Active Directory. After that, I get the following message appears when try to connect:

15039 selected authorization profile is DenyAccess

The message is as correspond to the default policy.

Another user in the same ad group works very well.

All domains in the forest have a relationship of trust between them.

I use universal groups to include all domain users belongs to this forest.

    Can someone help me?

    Concerning

What is your rule of authentication corresponding against a single ad group?

You can check which groups were extracted for the user, as follows:

    -goto "monitoring and troubleshooting.

-Select authentication - RADIUS - today

-Find the input that do not match and click on the Details icon

-Expand the section "Details of authentication". Look under "Other attributes" groups comes from AD to be enrolled in the user

  • Active Directory groups can be put into service in the FDMEE places?

    Hi experts FeeDMEE:

We are upgrading to HFM/FDMEE 11.1.2.4.    We would like to use only the Active Directory groups for our security in Shared Services.

I did a lot of audit looking at whether we can use security location FDMEE ad groups.  So far, the only way I found to make the security location uses the native approach (settings / security settings / security location...) Security by location, click on keep usergroup to set up groups).    But it doesn't seem to be an option if you create groups such as native or ad groups (FDMEE them creates only natively).

Does anyone know if it is possible in FDMEE to use security of the location ad groups?

    Thank you
    Mark Smith

I discovered that it is more possible for FDMEE create Aboriginal groups for the security of the location.

However, Active Directory groups can be added as members of indigenous groups.   In this way, users should only be added to Active Directory groups.    The only maintenance is to add or remove groups active directory to or from the indigenous groups of FDMEE.

  • How the Network Server 2003 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP with other virtual machines

    Hi ~

I am trying to create a network within the workstation test environment. I did research on everyday and can't find a direct answer. I want to do is use the Server 2003 functions and create my own private network with the 2 other VMS XP Active Directory domain controller. I want both of these XP machines to be able to log into the domain of the 2003 server. I have never used or learned 2003 server, that's why I do this.

What do I need to create a custom network? can I use bridged, host-only, nat? Stop the service DHCP from Vmware workstation?

What is your host operating system and how to get its IP address? What is the result of: ipconfig/all in Windows or Linux ifconfig-a?

    Disable the firewall during installation.

I don't think that the network connection is all that matters (if you care on the internet or a local area network LAN) for guests, while they are the same. I always use filled but the only thing that really counts, IMHO, is that the host, guests of the XP and W2003 prompt are all on the same subnet and the server has a static IP address.

I almost always use open for all guests. I put all the guests for static IP addresses on the same subnet as the host. I put the DNS server for XP clients to the IP address of the host to W2003. I have install the DNS role on W2003 server and then install the role of domain controller (AD), with the help of a domain name like lousdomain.local. Then you should be able to join XP guests to this area.

It's all exactly the same as if it was real machines.

My default installation is filled with the IP host is defined on 10.0.3.5, a gateway of 10.0.3.1 (my ADSL router), my server W2003 (or W2008) the 10.0.3.4 value and guests XP, the value to something like 10.0.3.6, 10.0.3.7 etc. Again, once again, is not the same as little care as long as they are on the same subnet.

What are the errors you get when you try to set up?

What you get from ipconfig/all on each of the guests?

  • Connector for the Active Directory password synchronization

    Friends,
We have a few questions about the connector for synchronization of Active Directory password:
    1. it is necessary to extend the AD schema when using this connector.
    2. If I have 10 domain controllers and are not synchronized, the literature tells us to install the dll in each domain controller. Is it possible to do this if necessary, to install this dll into a single domain controller?

    Thanks for your help.

    concerning

    Here's what I think:

    *1.* -> No
    * 2-> , I would say no, but it also helps you combat the failover scenario. Suppose that if you had only 1 ms then its failure would not send the password to IOM at all because none of the other DC would have this installed connector

    Thank you

  • OEDQ Active Directory

I installed OEDQ 11.1.1.7.3 (weblogic server) and by following the documentation in the below link for integration with active directory

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E48549_01/doc.11117/e40042/TOC.htm

I'm confused with the documentation. Do I have to follow both sections or just one of these sections to implement integration active directory?

    (1) integrations using OPSS LDAP on weblogic server

    (2) direct LDAP integration approach.

    Any help is appreciated.

The mappings in login.propeties are used as the default initial values, so a system of OPSS using will work out of the box.  While the additional mappings can be added, the preferred approach is to use the pages of Directors Disqualification.  You can also the mappings can be configured by a script run outside the Disqualification which connects to the Disqualification JMX MBeans.
