The opening of thinapp security warning

Running Windows 7 with thinapp version 4.7.2.  After thinapp when I try to open the program, I get a security warning, saying that the Publisher could not be verified.  Everytime I open the program I need to type Run.  I tried Adobe Reader XI, Acrobat X Pro and firefox UAC is disabled

This is my first stand-up of the VDI so any help would be appreciated.

Hello

My suggestions helped you to get rid of the security warning?

Thank you.

  • When the local server access security warning

As I said in another post, I am a software developer with 14 years of experience in the development of the desktop application and a bit of web development.  I'm learning the Flash rather than Flex because it's the environment that I own.

I'm running my first real Flash/AS3 movie and in it, he attempts to access a server local Apache with this call:

    new URLRequest ("http://localhost:8042 / backend.php" ' ");

When I run it in the debugger, I get the message of security seen in the first screenshot. I went to settings and added localhost, see the second screenshot, but the safety message persists, even after restarting the machine.

How I this test code and debug it to get the data from the local web server?  This is really critical, because I'll eventually develop a RIA that retrieves all of its data in this web server.

  • Security warning opening the file

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

Open File Security Warning - do you want to open this file?

Just started having recently. But I'm only opening. JPG image files. I'm not trying to run programs or anything like that.  Double-clik just the image and this alert appears. I know that this is just a simple click to clear, but A) it didn't happen before, a few weeks ago and B) I just not want to notify me whenever I want to open a picture of the machine.

    Very annoying!

If I'm right-clik the image file, I get the option to "unblock" the file and subsequently, he won't give the warning again for only one file. However I have gazillions of images (well a few thousand I guess in any case) and unlocking does not seem to be used in the attempt of "Select block" of 20 or 30 files at once.  Also very annoying!

Although I'm not really interested in the "why" (but it might interest my husband who thinks he can be a recent update to Vista which has caused this start out-of-the-blue), but I'm more interested how solve this problem.

Microsoft has an answer? I can do something here on my PC, or is it an other update to cancel it? You should know that I'm not messing around with the machines 'register' or something like that. Nor my husband (coz I'm not going to let him).

Thank you for the pointers or heals.

I really hope Microsoft has the cure, because it seems that the general consensus of the opinions I've heard so far said they are the ones who have changed something on my PC, perhaps unintentionally.

Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  • Tecra M7: Vista 'Open file security warning' for Alptec pointing device .exe files

I gritted my teeth and updated my M7 for Vista Ultimate Friday. Overall I am very happy with the results. I have stripped the machine of all Toshiba drivers before installation and then re-installed all Vista drivers afterwards.

Everything seems to be OK aside, whenever I boot, I get the following errors when the device pointing Alptec drivers load: open file security warning - the Publisher could not be verified.
Are you sure you want to run this program? The file is: C:\Porgram Files\Apoint2k\appoint.exe, then the same thing for: c:\Popram Files\Apoint2K\ApmsgFWD.exe and C:\Program Files\Apntex.exe. I click "Run" on each of the applications and uncheck the button "always Me ask."

It makes no difference and every time that I reboot, I get the same error. If anyone has had this problem, and if so, do you know how to fix it?

I suspect it is a problem of certificate with Alps Electric Co Ltd and have checked their website and found nothing.

    Help much appreciated as always.

    Hello

Just a question before we start any discussion here: have you downloaded and installed the drivers, tools and utilities for Toshiba download page in order facilities listed in the instructions facilities document?

BTW: where you have downloaded the pointing device Alptec driver?

    Publisher: Intel Corporation
    Type: Application
    From: C:/Windows/System32/igfxpers.exe

I have 2 possibilities to run or cancel.

One can help to to get rid of this 2 pop ups plx.

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and install and run Autoruns and go to the tab all and check the files referred to in your message.  If you find them, uncheck the boxes to keep them from start to start, and then click OK.  Reboot and messages should be gone.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!

  • Open file - security WARNING on each lnk, MS same installed apps

Since a few weeks ago win7 update, each shortcut lnk and I mean EVERY lnk, now requires intervention through the "open file - security warning".

The message is always the same, Unknown Publisher, even for MS Word, SQL Server, etc.  These all operate locally in the C drive and I have admin rights.

If launch the exe directly from the browser, everything works without problem.  It's just the shortcuts that have problems.

I'm running Win7 64 Pro.  Before the update that caused it, it worked fine.  I had all the UAC disabled _ and everything was fine.

It's more than an inconvenience, but my new system turning a worthless brick.

How can I stop this nonsense without turning off all security, as some have suggested?

I don't know why it works for opening of desktop applications, but this ceased change the file open annoying warning Message whenever I open applications on my Win7 computer.

  • Open file - security WARNING when opening shortcuts

original title: open file - security warning

Hello. I was greeted with a dialog box "Open file - security warning" at the opening of the shortcuts the (they are not the Internet or a network drive) after I applied the settings in Internet Options to turn off AutoComplete.

Only shortcuts that are related to specific files are affected (see figure 1).

I searched the Internet for a while, but it looks like using Group Policy Editor or Properties Internet does not help. Change strategy will just lead to another illustrated dialog box (seefigure 2). Opening .exe files is not affected, as open shortcuts to elsewhere. To make foreign things, if I just copy the shortcuts to another location (such as in the root directory or on another hard disk), they work fine without the security warning. Move the shortcuts or their copy to the folder of the Start Menu does not work.

    Just... What's happened!

I actually found a response that makes more sense than the foregoing.  Following a power failure network, after starting my computer and trying to connect to my domain account, it seems that Windows will change the permissions on some points, when he thinks he is attacked.  Thus, Windows has changed the permissions on my desktop, but nothing that I could see in the user interface.  Some, but not all, links on my desk began to exhibit this problem and he only posted links on my desk.

So, after doing some research I came across the following article, which got me in a good way:

Difficulty of Start Menu shortcuts open file security in Windows 7 and Windows Vista warning

All I had to do was to change the path to my office (see below):

    ICACLS "C:\Users\\Desktop" /Setintegritylevel (OI) (CI) M

and everything was back to normal again.
