The pen tool is rasterized in Photoshop CS3

I am trying to trace an image and create a vector image, but when I am using the pen tool it seems already to be rasterized. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I tried to check some parameter, but I still don't know what to look for. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Here is a screenshot of what I'm working with.

There is nothing wrong with your... monitor. Do not attempt to adjust the image. We are against the transmission.

Vector traces in Photoshop are invisible, what you see is a pixel layer filled with a color United and defined by a vector path. This has all the benefits of the use of vectors with the exception that when you zoom in, you'll see smooth edges. This is only a display problem that Photoshop can display only the pixels, but your path will be smooth no matter how large or small make you.

  • Photoshop CS4: Using the pen tool to add corner rather than the curved anchor anchors

Hello people, I tried everything I could think about using different sentences, but have yet to find a way to do it or if it was possible. I'm working on a project that requires the addition of many corner anchors to paths. By default, using the feather of Photoshop CS4 adds curve anchors. Therefore I have to add the anchor and then convert it into a corner. Is there an easy way to make the PS to create corners instead of curves with the pen tool? Even using combos Shift-Ctrl-alt-click did not help? Would save me time and mental health!

Try adding points with the normal pen, hold down the ALT key and clicking twice.

  • How can I change the color of the pen tool path in Photoshop cs5 to contrast with the images?

I have an extreme amount of traces of clipping in Photoshop. I used the pen tool with a grey path dull to try to cut the images correctly. How can I change the color of the path to contrast with the picture so I can see the path is better? I currently have Adobe cs5 and cs4 versions of Photoshop allowed me if that helps...

  • Features of the line of my mouse and the pen tool are thicker than my tablet.

Hello, I have just built a new computer and tried drawing in Photoshop but it turns out that my features of line of my mouse and the pen tool appear to be twice as thick as my Tablet features. I am currently using the Wacom Intuos small Pen & Touch tablet. I messed with the settings and put sensitivity to pressure for setting low to make sure that I get a fixed size for each shot, so it's probably a sensitivity problems. I don't have this problem with my last computer when I used the same Tablet and the program Photoshop I use now. Does anyone have suggestions about how can I fix? Thank you for your time.

Occam's razor would tell us that it is almost certainly a problem with spring pressure.

Or the other of the two first round brushes by selecting in the brush Panel must ensure pencil and mouse identical brush sizes.

The other thing to look at is the options bar.  The other icon highlighted in red, is the pressure change opacity.

You can use both at the same time.

  • copy and mirror of the pen tool path

I am currently using Photoshop CS6 and trying unsuccessfully to reflect the way I created with the pen tool.

So far, I've been able to create the way I need and fill it, but the challenge is to select, copy, paste, and reverse the trend.   Can someone please help.

    Thank you.

CTRL + C, Ctrl + V to copy and paste, then Ctrl + T to transform, then enter '-100% ' in the areas either width or height.

  • Help please with the pen tool! :)

I'm trying to draw a building with the pen tool.

I want that every surface (form?) to a new layer, but I want to use the angle of the previous shape to start and complete the new form so that they are distinct, but join perfectly.

I tried to use the transform tool to create forms I need and align them next to another form, but I don't know how

to make 'snap' to the shape on the other layer.

    I use Photoshop CC.

I was trying to search online, but finding this difficult issue of Word correctly in google to be honest.

Thanks in advance! I hope this makes sense.

I must say I want the forms remain separated.

Yes, they would be all on separate layers.  You would use only part of the last shape to start the next to ensure perfect alignment.

Illustrator is a nod to the Point.  It always annoyed me that Photoshop does not handle the snap with the pen or free transform tool.  :-(

  • PC shortcuts for the pen tool

Does anyone have a cheat sheet for shortcuts for the pen tool or any detailed instruction starting for PC on Photoshop users essential? I don't have a MAC thank you.

    The main keyboard shortcuts are:

SHIFT + P to select the pen tool

Click to create a path with straight lines between points (hold down the SHIFT key to perfectly horizontal or vertical lines) or click and drag for curves by using levers extended to your desired shape.

Press the Alt key (cursor changes in > when you hover over a point) and you can re - position for example to move one end of a lever regardless of the other end.

Press Ctrl Key and cursor changes to the white pointer - click anywhere on the path to highlight all points while the Ctrl Key is pressed again to choose a single point. You can then refine this single point, for example by using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

    What is going on?

    Daniel Ulysse,

The only op, I would have suggested your reset preferences or something similar as the first thing to try, but it's quite strange to suddenly have two versions at the same time.

Here are the usual list of things to try.

Try the following (you may have tried / some of them already) and see if that helps you (the following is a general list of things, you can try when the question is not in a file specific; 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted preferences):

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder http://www.bugge.com/Family-and-friends/Illy/illy.html (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);  Even worse, you can:

    (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  • Beginner with the pen tool problem: not obvious on any shape layer

I'm learning the pen tool. I made a line with the pen tool, but now I can't find out what layer it is on, and I can't caress as I wanted. All my layers are turned off and the form appears. However the research through the layers there is no vector layer that contains my line. In addition, I can't touch the line as the line options and filling are greyed out on my table of paths. I have attached a copy of Θcran to explain if all goes well I mean. I use CS2 on Windows 7.

    Untitled-3.jpg

Your Layer palette capture you have no visible layer and targeted in order to trace the path would not be available and gray by Photoshop.  Target a layer visible and you should be able to stroke the path on this layer. Also, you should be able to add a shape layer by using this path of pen.

I've been using photoshop cs5 and cs6 for some time, but I've never encountered this problem. Whenever I use the pen tool to draw an object and I close the outline object, it deletes the object I have traced him and not the bottom. It's really annoying and I can't change it. Hello

This is probably the path setting operations.

The default setting in photoshop cs6 is to exclude the shapes that overlap, and you can also use forms combine.

  • Cannot complete the trajectory of the pen tool! Help. He fills out the way. NOT inside. ):

Then, when I do a toolpath pen, like a box or something with it. When I right click and press "Way of filling", it does NOT have inside the box, it fills all outside. And Ctrl + Shift + I didn't do nothing, which doesn't help if im making a selection. How can I reverse this problem of pen tool? I really need help with that some projects im working on force me to use the pen tool

Ah, now we see the thumbnail of the path that the Act of creating the path must be there that the rub...  Note that with my example, the small part closed is white on a dark background, while yours is dark on a lighter background.

Once you have the pen tool selected, small buttons at the top of the main window of Photoshop do you have supported on?

I bet that you have pressed the subtraction of path button.

Try pressing the button Add to the path instead.

Edit: MTSTUNER beat me to it.

  • Select a path of the pen tool

I created a path around an object using the pen tool, how can I move this object on a different background? Sorry, so new to this :/

The best way to do this in photoshop is first make the background layer in photoshop in a real layer or a sas of transparent layer, sometimes called him.

Do you this by clicking on the name of the background layer in Photoshop and then give a name or leave the name by default when the dialog box options layer appears.

Then erase the or remove the background of the image in PS

then save it as a .psd not flatten it.

Then place this .psd document in your document of AI and the transparent background will be honored by the AI.

  • How can I change the color of ink for the pen tool?

    Hello everyone,

I sign a document in Acrobat.  But the color of the pen is red. I want to change in black or blue.  I have looked around the menus but can not find how display.  He is probably right under my nose somewhere, so I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you!

According to the official help site.

"Ink signatures use the default color of annotations pencil tool. To change the color of the signature, click the pencil tool on the tools of comment & Markup toolbar. Then choose tool default properties and change the color on the appearance tab. »

I had the same problem, locate your question along the way.  Finally, I stumbled on the above.

I tried to find a better way to access the color of the pen tool, but it's the only way to change it.  I understand that this software is not supposed to be Photoshop or whatever it is, this method of changing the color of the pencil seems completely arbitrary at best.  But, on the other hand, at least it can be done.

I hope that this answer am you in time to be useful again!
