The printer is adjustable to print to a printer on a wired in 9100 network port?

MFP HP LaserJet Professional M1217nfw

According to the user's guide, the Laserjet 1217 does not seem to allow printing to port 9100 printer.

If she supports it, it would be set up in the EWS in the network.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: cannot install the printer Officejet pro 8600 on work network using HP on Win10 software

I've recently updated my Surface 3 pro to win 11.  I try to install my printer using the HP installation software.  He worked with Win 8.1. The software has never been able to detect my printer automatically but in the past I could enter the IP address and it would connect.  This isn't the case, when I select wired connection, it just never fails to give me the opportunity to enter the ip address.  I can install the printer with the help of the W11 Control Panel, but the features of scan if the HP (HP printer assistant) software does not work it is frustrating for me.  Help, please.

    Kind regards

    Michael

I found the solution to this problem.  You just need to run automatic installation wired function twice and then it will ask for the IP address.  Once I did this and entered the IP address, it worked fine.  It must just be an option to start or appear after a failure.  I had to let it fail twice has been confusing.

  • Can I use my SmartPhone App to print when the printer is connected?

    Hello-

I just bought the HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw for my house and have it networked with a wired connection.

I think I know the answer to this, but want to double check. I think that the printer must be connected to my network without wire in order for me to print from my Android, and I believe that the only way to use the features of the printer wireless is if I unplug the wired network connection.

Is this correct? If there is a way for me to use both, can you let me know?

    Thank you

    Hello

Because your Android devices have no ports to connect to a printer, so you have your printer on a wireless network, BUT you can connect to the printer using LAN cable wireless as shown:

  • The print spooler stops and I'm unable to start

I have a HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one that has stopped printing because of the stopped print spooler.  The printer is connected to a local network.  My OS is Windows 7.  I tried Wizard solutions HP that does not help or give answers.  All I get is error 1053 has failed at the beginning or demand for appropriate ion Conytol.  What should I do to start the print spooler?

To start the spooler go to the start menu and select Control Panel then Tools administration and select Services, and then scroll until you see print spooler. If the spooler is running, then select Restart the service, and then try to print a document.

Let me know how it goes.

  • DeskJet 3632: unable to set the printer for the moment of ink

I recently bought this printer, but finds it difficult to sign up for the instant the ink plan. The printer is connected to the pc via the usb cable because my router is not active wifi. Nothing happened when I tried to sign up for the plan, but I had a message on the screen saying if you are not using wifi the printer can be connected to the router with an ethernet cable, there is however no installation on the printer to connect it like that! Does that mean I cannot get instant ink or y at - it another way to do it?

    Hi @Tigermouse.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you try to register your DeskJet 3632 to instant ink.

The following was taken directly form Instant ink Web Site. What are the conditions to register?

Your printer must be connected to the Internet, so we know when to send you ink.

According to the Specifications of the printer (as you noted) the 3632 does not support an Ethernet connection. This means that the printer must be on a wireless network in order to be enrolled in the program.  There is no way around this requirement.

Let me know if that answers your question. If it did, that's great! Give us some reinforcements by pressing buttons of solution and laurels, that we will help and others see that we have the answers!

  • PRI all-in-one HP Deskjet 2542: not the printer connected to the Modem

My modem (wired LAN) password and the name was changed recently and now my printer (HP Deskjet 2542 all-in-one) does not connect to the modem.  The blue light just continuously flashes.  This is the only change that has been done to my modem and this is the first time I tried to print. It is printed on the front.  I called the cable company and they determined my modem was working fine and has suggested that to change my printer settings.  I grew up the printer instructions on my computer, but could not find something that I could change my settings to match the modem.  I think that's what the cable company told me to do.

My printer is mod. # SNPRB - 1204 - 02.  If you need made more information let me know.  It seems that this should be a quick fix, but I'm not a computer geek.

    Hi @first100years,

I'd love to help you connect your printer to your wireless network. The flashing blue light confirms without a doubt that, for some reason, the printer is is more set up.

I found the following steps in this document: connect the printer after change of your wireless network.

The HP software automatically collects the network settings by temporarily connect a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.
  • LaserJet M128: pre-install the printer driver

I prepare about 40 laptops for use by our volunteers tax volunteer income Assistance (VITA) for the coming season.  I want to pre-install driver printer HP and public services on these laptops without a printer to connect via USB or wireless.  Once computers and printers are deployed on VITA sites, we configure printers and laptop computers to use the IP address assigned by the network of the site.

I would like to install the drivers and software advances so that the Setup program on the site takes less time.

Seems that the installation software will not work unless it can "talk" to a printer during the installation.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi @drew3820,

I see that you would like to know how to set up the printer on multiple computers via the cable network. I can help you with this.

I believe that with this model during installation, that need the printer to be connected and then you can configure the printer via Ethernet wired network. You wouldn't be able to preinstall the software of the printer on other computers if this is the case, which is inconvient. But you should be able to simply run the add printer on other computers Wizard, then navigate to the CD to install the software.

    I hope this helps.

  • The printer is not connected.

I'm about to trash this HP Officejet 6500 Wireless.  I've had it for maybe a few years.  I've never had problems as many with her until the last "update".  Once the problems have been perpetual.  Never, I can print when I want to.  I am running Windows Pro 8.1; 64-bit; Intel i7-2600.  Although it is a 'Wireless' printer I have connected by a USB cable.  When I installed the "update" the printer worked.  The next time I came back that he did not do; that it was not "connected to the computer.  I reinstalled the 'update'; It worked.  Days later he didn't; say that it was not connected.  I restarted. . several times.  I used another cable from the printer.  I've tried different USB ports.  I went to the Panel, devices and printers to see if I could see anything.  I don't.  I open the HP Solution Center.  No help.

I'm out of ideas.  I need/want something reliable.  I'm pulling my hair out.  I can't reinstall the "update" whenever I want to print.  It's nuts.

If anyone has a solution I have to abandon my relationship with HP.

I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7
When I try to add the printer manually, I can't select all ports.

Plug the printer causes Windows to try to install a driver, but it fails.

I suspect it was due to my University Pharos printing system. (It worked when I updated from Vista). After that I installed Win7 and started having all these problems, I was unable to uninstall due to errors of RPC ports. So I deleted manually and deleted all the registry entries.

Installation of a Brother printer still does not work.

Is anyway to reset all the settings of the printer? Wipe the slate clean? To restore all network ports?
    Thank you!

Edit: I read other entries... My Printer Spooler kept crashing before and I had to restart via services.msc
    Also ran sfc/scannow without error
Edit: I have since deleted all other printers listed in the management of printing, restarted, but still there is no listed ports.

OK, I found the solution. It turned out that all my print processors and ports have been replaced by the Pharos system (used by my University to charge for printing) DLLS. After the upgrade from Vista to Windows 7, it did not work.

    They have become like this:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\winprint]
    «Pilot '=' "PSS08B07."» DLL.
    "PSDriverLink"="winprint.dll".
    «C:\\Windows\\system32\\spool\\PRTPROCS\\W32X86\\PSS08B07 "=" PSDriverPath "."» DLL.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\USB Monitor]
    «Pilot '=' "C:\\Windows\\system32\\PSS08B05."» DLL.
    "PSDriverLink"="usbmon.dll".
    «C:\\Windows\\system32\\PSS08B05 "=" PSDriverPath "."» DLL.

    etc...

    ============

Manually, I changed ALL the print processors, drivers and ports in CurrentControlSet, CurrentControlSet1, CurrentControlSet2 to their original values and deleted the Pharos irritating ones.
    i.e.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\winprint]
    "Driver"="winprint.dll".

    etc...

    restarted and it worked!
Too bad, the troubleshooting of Microsoft tool could not detect it.

    See you soon!

  • My HP 8500 Wireless printer does not see my wireless network.

Using my wireless HP8500 printer, I am unable to see my wireless network.  I recently bought a Linksys EA6500 router and this is when the change occurred.  I am Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop and desktop.  Does anyone have suggestions on what to do?  the printer is able to see other networks in the vicinity, but not mine.  My Network works fine with all my other devices.

    Thank you!

I don't know what is happening here.  Cisco routers are usually pretty good at this stuff.

That is, you can run Ethernet (Cat5) that should work and avoids all the problems wireless.  Your ipad/iphone will not worry how the printer is connected as long as the router can communicate with it.

Once you connect the printer to the router with Ethernet, we will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.
