The processor high/weird CPU usage and about 20 to 25% system interruptions.

Hello

I use an AMD phemon IIx4 965 processor. (never had proplems with this till now.) One of its mainstays bed use ranging from 70-99% in Task Manager exercising while the other 3 are normally working / reading normal numbers. The question comes at random, but won't go away unless I restart my computer. This problem arises in a week a go, I was playing a game in steam when I noticed the drastic performance to fall and began studying. The question, something just when im not playing. I use my computer mainly on the game. The computer slows down because of this. I have no idea what the cause. Help?

Procexp said interruptions system 20-25. According to CPU - Z and CrystaldistInfo my HARD drive temperatures are all normal, around 28 - 38 c idle.

Reasently, I got a new case for my computer parts, I removed and passed my components of my old case to a new. I tried to be careful and I know (I know) thinki. enough computers to do this by myself. Fifi, it done once in the past. I have read the instructions and put / connected all the wires and parts according to them. The machine started normally. No problems. This could cause this problem, is a thread in the wrong place? I do not know.

I used free versions of Windows security essentials and Spybot search and destroy, Avast kernel tdsskiller to search for viruses and malware. All this happened in own. Can he still be a virus or something?
Used more claire Wise registry and Ccleaner but noting alarming is come to the top, (again I think.) some things Yes, but breaking the ' fix claim has pursuant button has not set a cpu problem.

First I though its my GPU causing the problem drivers. (google said) Approximately 45 days only a go replace my old AMD for a new R280 AMD Radeon 6950. Allworked very well so far. I found that according to Unknown Device Identifier I had older drivers still on my machine. I had trouble removing the old drivers, but eventually I had to use an uninstall program display driver for getting rid of them and now I only see one set of drivers. This has not fixed the issue of the use of the cpu.

IM lost, at the end of my skills (mainly google-fu). Can someone help me? I hope this is the right place for this post, if it isn't then I apologize.

If you want me (hopefully) post set and whatknot please first tell what program for and where to find it.

BenQ E2420HD 24 "1920 x 1080 resolution 75 Hz LCD monitor
8 GB RAM DDR3
Series of smart Power Supply Thermaltake M85OW EU

I've updated all the drivers on the site of manufacturers on my motherboard side touching the BIOS and embedded PIDE/SATA drivers. Updated my drivers for Audio embedded, embedded LAN Drivers, System & Chipset drivers. (smarter people said that could set).

Until writing this no problem has arisen, all works fine now. Procexp said system interruptions are now less then 2, compared to the previous 20-25 it is a sign that the update to fix the problem. It seems that this problem corrected everything. It turns out that all i needed was updated drivers thees. Everything works fine now... for the moment at least. Live and learn.

Thanks for the time and effort you took to look for it.

    Hello

If you plan to build your app for Windows, you can use .NET classes. (System.PerformanceCounter), there is a simple example with LabVIEW:

    C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\examples\comm\dotnet\SimpleTaskMonitor.llb

Also, you have several screws that you can use to verify information about the processor.

  • Vista goes to 50% CPU usage and connects the computer for hours after the beginning

    Original title: Vista processor

Stupid Vista goes to 50% CPU usage and connects the computer for hours after the start.  Cannot run anything with any request of CPU without getting bogged down and crashing.  It is not windows defender, I suspend this service and the machine is ok for another 1/2 hour, them I'm up to 50% of the CPU.  The idle process said Task Manager is > 90%, still indicates 50% CPU usage and the cooling fan looks like a 747 taking off.  Should I just pull the machine and go for Linux, or what?  Cannot run games or whatever it is, totally disgusted with vista of POS and microsoft can it Deep and do not get windows 7, it is probably worse.  Is that all I can turn off to get the same performance than, say, windows 3.1?  It would be preferable to the current situation.  MSCKMA.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

When you say you checked the space on OlioWeb and OlioDB VMs, have you done this before or after the race?  For verification, please make a "df-h" on all 4 virtual machines before and after the race.

In addition, it seems that you have set up the hosts file incorrectly:

    OlioWeb0_hosts.txt:192.168.7.4 Olio-db
    OlioWeb0_hosts.txt:192.168.7.14 Olio-DB
    OlioWeb1_hosts.txt:192.168.7.4 Olio-db
    OlioWeb1_hosts.txt:192.168.7.14 Olio-DB

Only, there should be one entry per host for olio-db file.  Try to change that and we will collect a cleaner race.

  • script which gives the hostname with more CPU resources and memory available

    Hello

Anyone have a script which gives the hostname with more CPU resources and memory available in the cluster?

    Concerning

    Vickie

    Hello, VicMware-

You can get the host with the free CPU, or with the most free memory resources, using the following:

    ## get the host with the most free CPU cyclesGet-Cluster myCluster0 | Get-VMHost | Select-Object Name, @{n="CpuMhzFree"; e={$_.CpuTotalMhz - $_.CpuUsageMhz}} | Sort-Object -Property CpuMhzFree -Descending | Select -First 1

    ## get the host with the most free memoryGet-Cluster myCluster0 | Get-VMHost | Select-Object Name, @{n="MemGBFree"; e={$_.MemoryTotalGB - $_.MemoryUsageGB}} | Sort-Object -Property MemGBFree -Descending | Select -First 1

The first would have produced something like:

    Name CpuMhzFree
    ---- ----------
    myVMHost0 25384

And the latter didn't would be out:

    Name MemGBFree
    ---- ---------
    myVMHost4 122.323

.. .or each of these host computers are those with the most free memory/CPU cluster, respectively.  What to do the things for which you are looking?

  • My laptop is often spiking to 100% CPU usage and always > 10%, with a physical memory to 25% + even though I have no programs running

Recently, I reformatted the drive, reinstalled Windows and have no personal data on this subject. The only application there is office, which I am not, using McAffee and my browser:-I use it mainly for web browsing.

It seems to happen mostly when I was using the browser, then left the machine for a few hours, then come back and tried to use it again. I turned off the screen saver and specify power options to keep permannently because she seems to be that the question was restartinjg rest. When the CPU usage is at its peak, and I try to return to the browser (or whatever it is) it may take some minutes to answer - just to load the Control Panel, for example.

I can see from the Manager tasks, which is currently running, but ideas on how to identify the process that all take this resource, I can stop safely and therefore to save resources?

    Processes are:-

    CSRSS
    DWM
    Explorer
    mcagent
    MSASCui
    rundl32
    Sidebar
    taskeng
    Taskmgr
    Winlogon

Also a lot of services - too many to list!

All the processes you list, apart from mcagent, which is McAfee, are essential components of Windows. If you finish one of them outside the sidebar of your computer stops working to a greater or lesser degree. You could try gadgets on sidebar of closing in case one of them is wrong to behave.

Another thing that can cause the CPU to boost with no application running is Windows Update and probably analysis and updates from McAfee.

Don't you have the CPU column shows in the Task Manager, so that you can see which process is using most of the CPU? What processor is it? What is a heart?

A better tool than the Manager of the tasks for these circumstances is Process Explorer.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653

Process Explorer is a chart of the CPU where you can put the mouse on a cob and it will tell you what process is using most of the CPU.

There is an introduction to Process Explorer here.

    http://Channel9.msdn.com/events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2010/WCL314

As for the memory of 25%, 25% of what? Computer laptop 2 GB I write this on shows 42% of physical memory used with any running application. It's Windows. It's big enough.

In your situation, one thing I would try would be to uninstall McAfee (run the removal tool then http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507) and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

  • The Dell Precision T7600 CPU temperature and fan speed

    Hi all

I recently got a Dell Precision T7600 workstation that has two processors Xeon E5-2620.  I checked the specifications of Intel and the maximum temperature for these processors apparently is 77.4 C.

However, when you run fairly intensive applications that can last a few days or so to analyze, I noticed that the CPU temperatures get much hotter than this no difference in the speed of the fan.  I used speedfan and CPUID to check the temperature/fan speed.  The highest I've seen the temperature was 90 c and the fan speed has been only 900 RPM.  He regularly sits on 70 c and still no response from the fans.

I find this a little hard to believe given that surely fans should be a little lower than 90 c action!  I checked the settings of the bios (version A05) and the fan speed control is on auto.  I have also run the diagnostics and it reported no problem.  The fans run, but I'm not convinced that is the speed controller!

    Is this normal?

I managed to re - install the A10 bios (it appeared to include a few things my already installed version is not ).

Anyway, tried to launch a number of things to keep the processor at 100% for a few hours.  It seems that the fan speed changes now and the maximum temperature of the processor, I was able to get (and briefly) was 72 C.  He had served mainly the mid to high 60s with fan speeds ranging between ~ 1000 - 1500 rpm, as required to keep it there.

I would say that the new BIOS has solved my problem.

  • I replaced the processor on acer aspire m3201 and now it won't turn

Hi there, I have replaced CPU on my aser aspire with a like CPU now the Office not power power up.the is working.the fans kick on a second and when I press the power button goes nothing other that the indicated hard drive turns upward, but when I release the button, the led turns off. I checked to make sure that the CPU is in place. I also checked the pins on the processor and the stems are straight. I cleaned the dust fans and the heat sink. I accidentally dropped the fan with heatsink, and now it does not start so I replaced it with a different fan with HSINK and it still won't start. I replace the fan with an original as soon as possible. I wonder if the pc does not start because the HSINK fan is not the same thing? is this possible?

Here's all the details I have using now.please!

Depends on if the system recognizes the new fan or not, BIOS normally able to start if the CPU fan is not recognized.

don't forget that the new processor is compatible with your motherboard too.

I think I need urgent help though.

Recently, I thought I downloaded malware that is injected with the Trojan horse. And now, I believe that the Trojan horse lies in my computer. I did this because my CPU usage is always at 100% even when I just restarted my com. Initially, I found there was a program called dgen.exe running in my computer to a 60% of CPU usage. Never so, I remove the dgen.exe from my computer but I don't know if I remove it entirely. Now, I'll have another program called RegSvcs.exe in my computer operating at 50 percent CPU usage. I googled out and it says it may or may not be required by windows and it could be a trojan virus as well. That's why there at - it anyone who can enlighten me on this?
