The query results wrap in the DOS command window.

Greetings,

I'm using SQL * MORE in the DOS command window.

The results of my query is wrapping to the bottom of the page, instead of using the entire width of the window.

I put the mode command windows, before entering SQL * MORE:
MODE CON: COLS = 100 LINES = 40

So, I was hoping to get Oracle to use all 100 columns, displaying the entire response.

Kind regards
Dave

Hi Dave,.

Size pages, columns and lines are controlled by SQL * more system variables

For the width of the lines

The VALUE [IZE] which defaults to 80 LINES

For the number of lines per 'page '.
PAGES of the [IZE] VALUE, which by default is 14

To control formatting, including the width of the columns of indicidual you PASS [UMN], for example:

COLUMN your_column FORMAT a20

For more parameters:
http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e16604/ch_twelve040.htm

If you want some settings each time you open SQL * Plus, you can add to your glogin.sql

  • In bulk to rename files in a folder by using the DOS command line or a batch file.

Can someone help with this problem, please?  I remember seeing the DOS command line to do a mass renaming of files in a folder or a batch file. for example, vacation photos are all in the format DSC00001.jpg to DSC001234 and I want to change it to something like, say, Rome0001.jpg to Rome1234.jpg.

    How about this:
Go to the folder of your files in that.  Create a text file, and open it (Windows should use Notepad, that very well).
    in the file type:
    Ren dsc*.jpg rome*.jpg
    Now, save the file as:
    renamethem.bat
(Make sure you call it ".bat" and save it as a txt document, which will make a simpel file and not add a strange formatting)
From there, just double-click this file and it renames all your pictures accordingly.

  • Access to SQL previously saved in the SQL command window

    Hi all

If I kept some codes SQL in the SQL command window, should we not available to other developers when they click on the saved SQL tab? I saved an example query and one of my other developers can't see it. I don't see any setting available on the developer account that controls whether or not the account can see others saved SQL.

If this is not allowed, then I see really the point of the drop in the saved SQL owner tab.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!!
    John

My apologies - I've never used this tab so I was not aware of it.

I played a little and it seems that if you are an administrator of the workspace, but your other user is just a developer, then in fact he or she cannot see your SQL. If you were to switch to the workspace administrators, they should be able to see.

Hi, is it possible to disable the MATLAB command window popup when the Matlab script? Thank you.

Isn't fear. As soon as you close the window is closed by the ActiveX Server and your script will stop running. You can, of course, reduce by using the operating system. Under Windows, you can use the Utilities of Windows API, as provided for in one of the threads of research responses.

  • ReadyShare drive unusable in the DOS command prompt

I have a Nighthawk C700 - AC 1900 WiFi cable router Modem where I configure drive ReadyShare USB access.

When I type the UNC "\\READYSHARE\USB_Storage" and type the Admin password for write access - I "can" see the files/disc in Windows Explorer. I can map the UNC path as a player U:\ and I can see/access it very well in the GUI.

    However...

Once I go to a CMD command prompt (even tried as admin) - I see 'no' this player U:\. Error message = "system cannot find the drive specified."

ReadyShare drive is a USB 2.0 disk formatted in Win7 to NTFS 2 TB external.

    I'm on Windows 10 v1607.

If I connect the USB directly to my computer - I can see/access this drive U:\ locally and use the CMD utilities against it very well (robobopy.exe).

Anyone working on this issue and or knows how to get CMD to use/see the ReadyShare full-access/write?

    Thank you...

    Peter

    Update: it's working now. ?

I've upgraded to the latest version of Windows (1607.14951.1000) 10.

I also upgraded Netgear engineering to v2.4.32.

I "can now use/see the drive Readyshare in a CMD Shell."

I can run normal DOS commands on this very well mapped drive.

I had to modify my script robocopy to remove the /COPYALL and /ZB settings as I guess that Linux/NAS does not support these settings, but I can now, with the click of a shortcut on the Desktop - Sync/restore my files the on the network to the NAS drive.

I don't know if it's the change in Windows or in engineering who has been around.

    hope this helps others too.

  • Problems to use Java from the DOS command line

    Hello

When I try to run Java from the Windows DOS command line, I'm running into trouble:

    1. when I run Java from the wrong directory, I get the error error: could not find or load the main class myapp1.

    2. when I'm in the directory 'right' (.../MyApp1/build/classes/myapp1 /, where is the MyApp1.class file), I get the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: MyApp1 (alias: myapp1/MyApp1)

    1. the classpath is not set (when I type echo % CLASSPATH % system returns CLASSPATH).

    2. I also get the same error above when using: > java - cp. MyApp1

    (3. I did that the path is correctly defined in the environment variables, by way of Java at the beginning of the chain of path).

    Someone at - it ideas?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice or tips!

    Best regards

    It should work. Your code:

    package myapp1;
    class MyApp1 {...}

At the prompt of DOS commands:

    cd .../MyApp1/build/classes
    java myapp1.MyApp1

    The case is important.

  • Why the "open command window here" option menu shortcut in Windows Explorer create network duplicate mappings?

In the intranet of my employer, we have many servers. When I go to manually run the programs on these, I use the hidden feature of the context menu of Windows Explorer to open a command window on the directory with the executable files (by now the SHIFT while right-clicking).

Whenever I do this, a new network map is added to the location network to the location of 'My Computer' in Windows Explorer, even if there is already one for the server (note that this is a region which is populated by clicking on "Map network drive"). At the end of the day, I'll have a dozen of them pointing to the same server (because I'm OCD close windows after I'm done with them).

And when I disconnect from these mapped network locations, they warn me that there is always using the connection, even after closing the process command prompt window.

Why Windows does that, and it's a bug or a feature?

    I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x 64, SP1.

  • MS-DOS command window

I know that this does not apply to LabVIEW, but it is not a Council "off topic" forums for posting slot, and you guys know more about computers than anyone else, I know that I decided to ask this question here.

I have windows vista (if this is important for anything) and tend to use the command prompt for a lot of things out of habit.

Absolutely no reason (apparent), my guest has stopped working.

    Whenever I type a command, I get:
"(order) is not recognized as a command internal or external, an executable program or batch file", which pretty much means that he has no idea of what I type.

Anyone know what could cause this?

Is there any where that I can reinstall the program files for the MSDOS command prompt if there is such a thing?

    Thank you

I do not have access to Vista right now, but I'm assuming that you've found a command through cmd.exe prompt.  If you found these errors, the file does not exist in the directory you are currently in your variable Path may have got changed.  Try to manually change the diretcory where the exe is and confirm if it works well.  If so, then your Path environment variable is messed up.  Under XP, it's in the title of your system properties, but I don't remember the top of my head where it is in Vista (I know that Google will have it somewhere).

If the file is located in the directory you are in, maybe it's a problem of user Priveledge.  Try to run as administrator command prompt and see if that fixes the problem.

  • RecordSet and the largest command window?

A big problem in the previous version of DW where breakfast a unresizeable windows for adding records and orders. And now I understand that this problem still exists in dw cs3. Really - I thought dw cs3 is also expected for the largest Web site! But they will have more complex databases, recordsets and commands.

See the screenshot on this url

Is it possible to resize this window (and others like that)?

    Thank you very much
    Sebastian

Yes - it is possible. For PHP/MySQL on Windows, here's what I did:
1] CLOSE Dreamweaver and navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe
Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\Commands (or anywhere where you installed DW)

2] make a backup copy of the file named ServerBeh-PHP - AdvRS.htm (for
other languages of server, you should be able to determine the file!)

3] open the file in a text editor (NOT Dreamweaver!)

[4] find the cell table containing the recordset and changes dialog box the
Dimensions. For example, I change my Recordset advanced textarea
top of 275px height by changing this 75px:

    SQL:

onBlur = "updateUI ('SQL', 'onBlur')" wrap = "VIRTUAL" > ""

    To do this:

    SQL:

onBlur = "updateUI ('SQL', 'onBlur')" wrap = "VIRTUAL" > ""

5] save the file and run DW. Your recordset dialog box will be changed!

I can't emphasize enough how important it is that you save your file (s)
    before you change them!

What do you mean by "in order to"?

A clause using "ORDER BY" in a DEC (in SUMMIT or other anywhare) has no effect on the order of the columns , which is determined by the order in which the columns appear in the projection. It will affect the order in which the rows are returned from this query, and it will not determine the order in which lines will be returned by querying the new table in the future.

To change the order of columns, the columns in the SELECT of the ETG clause must be in a different order than the original table,
