The rendering of page at the bean

Hello

I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and creating Oracle Fusion Web Application.

I want to create an application for the experience by showing a subject a list of words and images.
The subject must press the following button and will be the first to see a Word and then after 2 seconds
(without any intervention of the user) the Word will be hidden and a picture appears. The user must
Select a value from an option button and press the next button to see the next word...

I created a page jspx and a bean for the following button:

public String next_action() {}
BindingContainer links = getBindings();
OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding ("Next");
Object result = operationBinding.execute ();

this.getImageExp () .setVisible (false);
this.getWordExp () .setVisible (true);

How to display the page at this point?

try {}
System.out.println ("next_action: sleeping 2 s");
Thread.Sleep (2000);
} catch (java.lang.InterruptedException ie) {}
System.out.println ("interrupted sleep:" + ie.getMessage ());
}

this.getImageExp () .setVisible (true);
this.getWordExp () .setVisible (false);

Returns a null value.
}

I'm relatively new to Oracle ADF and my problem is that the page is rendered only
at the end of the bean.
How can I display the page to the user prior to pause 2 seconds?

Best,

Kees.

What about using a survey component that will pass the display after 2 seconds?

    which is the best way to call a method in managing the beans on the adf page loading.

    Thank you

    I don't know if it's the right answer for your question try this...

    In taskflow for properties of method call, you must return a value when you use #{pageFlowScope.returnvalue} (returnvalue is a variable), so you can use your return value in the taskflow... Please let me if this is correct...

    is there a any restriction I can't access model pagedef in the bean class.

  • ADF ExcuteWithParams at the bean

    Hello

    I'm creating a jsf page that has a date entry, a command button and two tables each on its own tab.   I try to use the a button to excutewithparams on both counts.  I do this via a bean and the operationbindings.  I have two tables partial triggers defined on the command button and here is the code of the bean.  When I run the page I don't get any errors, but the tables do not update.  Blink as they will update itself, they have all the data.  What I'm doing wrong here?  BTW I use jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.

  • 11.1.2.3 JDEV get the selected value of RichSelectOneChoice at the bean (but not in the value change listener)

    We have implemented our own listener of downloading files to export the table data in Excel. The reason for this was that we did not want certain columns to export.

    We have the collectionmodel table. All columns have been extracted from the table and for each column the value inside the component was read and written in the outputstreamwriter.

    Now the problem is, we have a few selectonechoice fell in the columns of the table read-only. For components, it exports the data that the index selected and the value selected.

    Is it possible that I can get the selectedValue of the component of type RichSelectOneChoice in the bean?

    We use Jdev pointers 11.1.2.3... Any are appreciated...

    Found the solution. Add LOV VO as iterator in a combination to page and access it as below... use index that selectonechoice.getvalue returns as well as the name of the iterator.

    BindingContainer links is BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindingsEntry ();.
    DCIteratorBinding dciterContainer = (DCIteratorBinding) bindings.get (iteratorName);
    Ri rank = dciterContainer.getRowAtRangeIndex (index.intValue ());
    String val = (String) ri.getAttribute (attrName);

  • Storage and access to the values of the pageFlowScope at the bean

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0

    Hi again,
    I read somewhere that store parameter values in a bean is a good practice, now I wonder. I did this and 'declared' this bean to my workflow bounded as pageFlowScope. Now, I need to access the values in another bean "method (scope of application) and cannot get them." "" "You're almost there. '" You cannot directly access the bean inside bean attributes. The pageFlowScope card allows you to access the bean itself. Once you have the bean, you can use their getter to get the attributes.
    Or you use the EL (as you use it on the page) and evaluate it for the value:

    public static Object resolveExpression(String expression)
        {
            try
            {
                FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
                Application app = facesContext.getApplication();
                ExpressionFactory elFactory = app.getExpressionFactory();
                ELContext elContext = facesContext.getELContext();
                ValueExpression valueExp =
                    elFactory.createValueExpression(elContext, expression, Object.class);
                return valueExp.getValue(elContext);
            }
            catch (Exception e)
            {
                e.printStackTrace();
            }
            return null;
        }

    public void YOURMETHOD()
    {
        AdfFacesContext adfctx = null;
        adfctx = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();

        Map pageParams = adfctx.getPageFlowScope();
        // assuming the class of your bean class is ViewAmtsParametersBean and the name you've given the bean is "ViewAmtsParameters"
        ViewAmtsParametersBean parambean = (ViewAmtsParametersBean) pageParams .get("ViewAmtsParameters");

        //an other way to access the bean attributes is to use EL
        String strIdParam = (String) resolveExpression("#{pageFlowScope.ViewAmtsParameters.clientIdParam}");

        BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
        OperationBinding operationBinding =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("ExecuteWithParams");

        // Set the parameter for the query
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("cid", parambean.getClientIdParam());
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("can", parambean.getCanParam());

  • Session bean behaves as ask the Bean

    Hello, I met this stange behavior in my Application (JDeveloper 10.1.3.3).
    I have a jsp page that contains an element of SelectOneChoice:

    + < af:selectOneChoice inlineStyle = "margin: 10.0pt +;
    autoSubmit = "true" simple = "false".
    unselectedLabel = "sΘlectionner".
    + Binding = "#{backing_page.versionsSelectOne}" +.
    + id = 'Refresh' label = 'Versions' / > +.

    As you can see, this article is bound to a field in the bean of support for this page (which we will call the)
    Bean "PageBean"). The binding object is:

    + private CoreSelectOneChoice versionsSelectOne; +

    "PageBean" is a session, stated in faces - config.xml bean:

    + < managed-bean > +.
    + < managed-bean-name > backing_page < / managed-bean-name > +.
    + < managed-bean-class > mypackage. PageBean < / managed-bean-class > +.
    + session < managed-bean-scope > < / managed-bean-scope > +.
    + < / managed-bean > +.

    In the constructor of 'PageBean', I create a new Istance of the component:

    + Application apps = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .getApplication (); +
    + versionsSelectOne = (CoreSelectOneChoice) apps.createComponent (CoreSelectOneChoice.COMPONENT_TYPE); +

    The bean of support (in a method called by a button), I dynamically fill the CoreSelectOneChoice with the
    components (CoreSelectItem) I want to display in the drop-down list.

    Everything works fine BUT the "PageBean' is now recreated to * each request * (despite that it is a * Session * Bean).
    If I remove the CoreSelectOneChoice creation in the costructor, it still behaves like a Sesison Bean.
    This behavior is very strange, and it seems to be somehow connected to the CoreSelectOneChoice component.
    even if I see no Exception in my application.
    Does anyone have an idea on what is happening?

    Hi Antonio,.

    >
    (1) usually when I create a page, I can creata a support for the page bean. Can I keep the information contained in
    the bean for 4 different extended (zero, request, session, application), let'say that I am interested in session and demand.
    I thought that the components of support where like that, and JDev encourage to put then in a backing bean
    using "automatically expose UI components in a new Managed Bean. So my idea of a support of the bean internally who can manage the
    components of the user interface on the session's not going, and I have to do a new design for this application...
    Well, JDeveloper is incredibly bad on this part, so why this option is not hidden and disabled by default in 11g, unlike the step of creating the standard and active in 10 g. Normally, you very rarely use the JSF binding attribute unless the refresh PPR component, allows you to wire the values in place like EL:

    // The classes
    public class MyDataBean
    {
        private String name;

        public String getName()
        {
            return name;
        }

        public void setName(String name)
        {
            this.name = name;
        }
    }

    public class MyControllerBean
    {
        private MyDataBean data;

        public String save()
        {
            // Call the model layer to save the data in MyDataBean
            return "success";
        }

        public MyDataBean getData()
        {
            return data;
        }

        public void setData(MyDataBean data)
        {
            this.data = data;
        }
    }

      data
      MyDataBean
      session

      controller
      MyControllerBean
      request

        MyDataBean
        #{data}

    (2) I'm not here. If the component (for example CoreSelectOneChoice) class is not a managed bean of JSF,.
    How can we instantiate frame it? In any case, I had a nullpointexception if I try to set a property of the
    component (CoreSelectOneChoice) in the bean to support, without the first instantiation of it.
    You must set the properties in the binding Set accessor method:

    public class BackingBean
    {
        private CoreSelectOneChoice choice;

        public CoreSelectOneChoice getChoice()
        {
            return null; // safer than returning choice in case 2 pages binds on the same bean
        }

       public void setChoice(CoreSelectOneChoice choice)
       {
           this.choice = choice;
           this.choice.setLabel("Foo"); // Here, in the setter, NOT in the constructor so JSF instantiate the component, not you.
       }
    }

    (3) ok I can do it by hand, but it reminds me of something that it is done automatically by spring.
    Thanks for your reply.
    JSF 2.0 and JSR-299 allow injection using the annotation, but Spring does not automatically, you must configure the spring to do, same goes for the JSF.

    Kind regards

  • Best practices on the number of decision-making at the bean

    Hi people,

    Here I use Jdev 11.1.1.7.0. where I have a case take the count on lines that are inserted in the bean.

    Here we go...

    The bean code

    developer way 1:
    button_click(){
    int count = voins.getRowcount();
    }

    developer way 2:
    button_click(){
    int count = iteratorbind.getEstimatedRowcount();
    }

    Developer tracks 1: view object fetch at the bean intended to take the number of lines.

    -Developer 1 said that best practices on taking into account is to use the view «getRowcount()» object

    Note: the developer 1 2 from that developer comment is further practice. It is a time process is necessary

    2-way Developer: using iterator to get the number of lines

    -Director 2 indicates, for the County, can we use "estimatedRowcount".

    Note: the developer commentary 2 Developer 1 way is worse practice taking the view the bean object.

    Developer it is 1, try to catch the model layer directly from code. We can use the iterator to do all the stuff.

    What is the best practice please suggest me is there any other practice taking the number of lines in the bean.

    Thank you.

    Path dev 1)

    A glance in the java doc reveals

    Note that this method retrieves all rows from the database, and then returns the number of rows in the row set collection.

    So, if your table contains a large number of component getRowCount lines takes a lot of time and memory.

    Way 2 dev)

    Call getEstimatedRowCount runs a count (*) selection (your query) to get the number. It's fast, but the number of task may be different if multiple changes are made on the table. I personally never had a problem with that, but I can't speak for you.

Date values are defined in the bean. Now if I change the above date end date (and not only not to give the Error Message) start always get EM as the validator supports only the values of old bean.
