The screen rotation.

MY wife has a new phone i 6 s +. When you select a new message in the message application the screen does not turn horizontally. Yet the screen moves in other applications, including when you select a new email. Rang Apple Support and they couldn't fix it. Any idea anyone?

Graham J

Hey there Graham,.

As I understand it, the Messages app is not turning on your 6s wife iPhone more. If you haven't already done so, try to run through the general application of the advice in the article following the troubleshooting link.

If an application you have installed unexpectedly closes, unresponsive, or will not open - Apple Support

Restart the application

Close the application , and then open it again.

Restart your device

Turn your device, then turn it on again.

Look for the iOS and app updates

  1. Make sure you use the latest version of iOS.

If the Messages rotation problem persists, try to restore the iPhone, as described here:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

So long.

  • X 61 Tablet wireless towers off accidents / on the screen Rotation

New and strange problem with my X 61 (vista race, perfectly up-to-date, 4 GB ram, etc.)

When I turn in slate mode, the wireless disconnects and refuses to properly reconnect until I reboot. I checked this behavior several times. More confusing: the icon for wireless connection on the right side of the taskbar remains in connected mode, but if you click on it, it will not give you used windows control panel allowing you to access the Networking screens. Still unknown, if you close physically radios with the switch located on the front, the radio LED remains on and using Fn + F5 to bring up the screen of the radio, does not allow me on the radio or turn off or cycle.

Possible cause: I uninstalled "Access Connections" because it is nothing but trouble for me:

It may be a variant of the old 'display cannot operate wireless WAN secondary when landscape mode' is active message that I used to get. Basically, this computer does not WAN wireless, never, but for some time, when I tried to use the secondary display landscape in slate mode, it gives me this message and to reactivate the screen in a different direction. It was clearly unacceptable, and I uninstalled the logins that seems to fix the problem.

With a recent automatic update of lenovo, he reinstalled logins and started this problem again, this is why I uninstalled it again. But now, it.

Anyone see this? I think remember that screen orientation has been accused of being tied to ActiveProtection (which should automatically detect the orientation of the computer and rotate the screen accordingly, thing which never worked on my machine, this is why I also uninstalled that.)

It seems impossible that Lenovo could fudge wifi wireless connectivity by writing software that binds the radios to useless (non-functional) modules as protection against shock, but the only thing that has changed over the last few days is my uninstall these programs, so I can't think of any other reason, suddenly, this radio would operate this way.

Funny you should post this because I literally just signed up to this forum so I could add a post for this problem (such as a temporary solution) in the hope that Lenovo would quickly remedy the situation.  I'm kind of a newbie tech and only recently started problems my computer on my own please excuse any lack of jargon appropriate during this post.

Anyway, the problem I thought that (like you) has been the connections access version 5.02 update version which was recently published by Lenovo automatically updates for my tablet.  So I uninstalled 5.02 and reinstalled the old version 4.52.  After restarting my computer, I tried turning my tablet mode screen has frozen--> the wireless disabled, connections to wireless LED remain lit and would evict me of secondary landscape mode with the wireless enabled, even if I tried to disable the wireless with the button on the front of the keyboard.  Same problem exactly where you have posted.

Then I went to my ThinkVantage System Update and looked at my history of update to see what other recent updates may have been originally.  I came across a version called "Intel Wireless WiFi for Vista 32 bit" 12.00.4000.  After doing some research on the Lenovo Web site, I found the driver:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70505

In any case, I thought that it would be worth to back off this update to try to see if it is solved the problem since the update and was installed on my computer was the same exact day I started to notice problems with my wireless in slate mode.  Anyway, long story short I used the tutorial at the bottom of the page of the pilot (pasted below) to access my Vista Device Manager to find the wireless driver and then back to an earlier version:

    Determine which version is installed

    1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
    2. Click system and Maintenance.
    3. Click on System. In the left pane, click Device Manager.
    4. Click network adapters.
    5. Double click on in the software of Intel (r) PRO Wireless WIFI.
    6. Click the driver tab. The driver version will be displayed.
    7. (Now restore it previous version!)

Ok.  So once this process is finished, I rebooted and everything worked perfectly again.  However, I have never reinstalled the new version 5.02 access connections and am always running the pilot 4.52.  I didn't mess with it more and push my luck by reinstalling the 5.02 connections more recent access again because it seems to work with 4.52.

I'm sure that, after losing three days on it to try to fix the problem that it is the responsibility of the new version of the driver "Intel Wireless WiFi for Vista 32-bit" 12.00.4000.  Please if someone Lenovo bed this thread we should try and patch this driver ASAP?  I'm a student and this problem set my Tablet out of operation for several days, which was very frustrating as I rely on my tablet every day to take notes and internet access in the classroom and clinic.  Fortunately, I found a solution but not really a permanent one.  In any case, let me know if this help - it worked for me and I hope it will help someone else out there with the same questions without phone/tablet.  Good luck - and thanks to Lenovo for additional help with this.

  • avoiding the screen rotation

    Hello

How to avoid the rotation of the screen when the unit is nose?

    Thanks for the help.

Use OrientationSupport.requestDisplayDirection (DisplayDirection.West); orientation to the one you want. Once this is done, you will probably want to lock to avoid any rotation.

  • The spectrum X 360 screen rotation

Hi, I recently bought the spectrum X 360 with 10 windows, but the rotation of the screen does not work in tent and Tablet mode.

I tried to find a solution for this in the display settings, but this display rotation Lock is enabled and disabled. So I can't even change it.

Please let me know how to activate the screen rotation.

Found a solution: Win + R-> type "regedit" and enter

    The Registry Editor opens.

    Goto-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotation path

Check the value of the file if it is 0 rotation will be OFF, if 1 rotation will be THERE.

Reboot and auto rotation will work.

Note: The lock rotation in display settings button is still disabled, do not know why.

Let me know if it helps.

  • Rotation of the screen with virtual keyboard.

Hey all, I am porting a no touch to work in touch devices, but the screen rotation throws me some curves that I can't find a good solution for. I have an image for the background of a screen. In the method of paint background vertical field Manager that holds everything, I check the current resolution and to draw the image appropriate for the portrait to landscape mode. This works well, as long as the virtual keyboard is hidden. I bring up the keyboard (of, say, by clicking in a text field) and the background image does not change (i.e. going from portrait to landscape leaves me with a white bar on the right side of the screen), and the fields have the same width and page layouts. Any advice?

Ah ha! Long story short, Display.getHeight () returns the height of the screen, but if the virtual keyboard is displayed, its height will not appear in the getHeight() value.  This was causing problems with my orientation detection code.

The strange display behavior was a result of me being too careful.  I put 'default' in all of my instructions switch during the original no touch development, so that when I don't add different resolutions, he displayed a screen that would be small, but grave not down.  I did not detect a known resolution and continued to display the portrait mode, but only while the keyboard was visible.

  • Screen rotation is the X 30 support for external displays?

Yes... I know the X 30 is old school...

but I use it for my presentation machine and it works well... and... If he was hit or swept, office

    I wouldn't feel so bad...

In any case, I have the latest driver installed on my X 30 XP Professional Intel

Video chipset is 82830M and I have the video bios 2691

There is no tab in the properties panel video for "rotation" of the monitor,

and nothing in the bios of the machine that controls this feature as I can see,

so I guess the screen rotation is not supported on the X 30,

but thought I would ask in case Miss me something obvious!

    Thank you!

    Hi jwooden,

  • Portege M400 - screen rotation utility does not

A week ago, I turned the screen to put in tablet mode and noticed that the screen does not rotate 90 degrees automatically as it normally does.

I then pressed the button of the screen rotation so that it would automatically adjust to the direction that the laptop was in. This had no effect.

I was able to rotate the screen manually by going to the graphic properties and you can set up hotkeys to rotate manually onscreen, but is no longer automatically adjusts. I ran the utility of toshiba manually rotation, but it doesn't have an effect either.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
