• How to adjust the shadow text thickness to match extrusion?

  I ran a few tests on the classic use 3D and drawn to the radius of the overall 3D features.

  Through research, I found a smart workaround (seen here: Re: Shadow Catcher works don't not with the 3D text and camera Tracker ) to maintain the blending modes for the shadows of the extruded text layers.

  It worked for me, while the light was at the front of the text.  However, when the light is tilted, it becomes obvious that the thickness of the shadow does not match the lack of extrude 3D text.  (See screenshot)

  

  I'm a little puzzled about how to work around this problem.  Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  I guess you have a traditional 3D layer in the position of 'face' of the text that is in the shade.

  Duplicate your layer of shadow-casting and ensure that it is casting shadows is set to 'Only', so that the layer is invisible, but the shadow is not.

  Then push the new layer in Z space to the rear face of the extruded text.  The combination of the two shadows should now look much more consistent with the extruded text.

  You can add several layers 'in between' if the separation of the shadow is too visible.

  Work with a copy of the model where everything is white. then use that demo as a 2D layer in your main COMP. invert it, extracted from the shadows for example using Shift channels lightness, reverse again.

  Is there a way to animate the shadow effect? A hand coming out of the frame and hit something. Need for the shadow to be closer to the hand and then disappear farther than the sheets of hand frame.

  All the parameters are keyframable. Move the pointer over the setting see the + at the end to add a keyframe.

  I know that I can change the border around a string or a digital output to the screen using modern or classic, but is possible to output and the numeric values to the front channels without the border around it? This is particularly useful for panels to front I want to print.

  I use LV7.0 on W2K and have encountered a difficulty.  Often when I need a text face before being modified programmatically, I'll put a control or the off indicator on the side (out of sight) and serve its legend of the label.  It keeps me from having to find a way to get a reference to a real label... which has always been a pain.  I just use a property node to edit the text in the legend.  My problem is, for the application, that I am currently in train, I need to use a tab control.  If I set the label (caption) in the tab control, it flies over, showing a shadow under it.  It doesn't know if the control is in the tab control only when the control is not in the tab control.  Is there a way to make this stop behavior?

  He's going to do. It was the way it was made to show you that it is not within the tab control. You should note however that when you start your program that the shadow will disappear. The shadow is there when you are programming.

  • When was the last time it worked?
  • Remember to make changes to the computer recently?

  First of all, I would say that you unplug any external drive connected to the computer except the keyboard and mouse.

  This error message can occur if there is some system files corrupted on your computer. Suggest to run a SFC scan, which would be a search for system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

  Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

  1. click on the Start button

  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option
