  • JDeveloper does not support the SQL expert, cannot add query clause to view link

    For developers who can know:

    I use JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 and I have two tables, we're STUDENTS, the other is the PRICE, with a one-to-many relationship (a student may have several awards), and ID is the foreign key:
    STUDENTS
    ------------------------
    ID    NAME    DOB
    ------------------------
    9999  JOHN    01/02/1990
       |
       |
       |
       |           AWARDS
       |           ------------------------
       |           ID      DESC      AMOUNT
       |           ------------------------
       ----------- 9999    PELL      500
                   9999    PERKINS   800
                   9999    LOAN      900
    In the application, when a student (9999, JOHN) connects, the information above is displayed. I need to add up all the awards for the student and to display not only the elements of price, but also the total amount of all awards. To do this, I created another object to view named TotalAwards in the object entity the price just to get the total amount. The SQL code of the VO's
    SELECT SUM(Awards.AMOUNT) AS TOTAL
    FROM AWARDS Awards
    Then, a link is created between the students and the TotalAwards, and use of the new link to the view is added to the application module. TotalAwards is now available in the data control palette to be drag-and - drop to pages.

    Problem occurs when the application is invoked. An error is caught before the application can begin. The error message indicates that "the ends or the link view do not specify an attribute.

    It seems that the TOTAL 'SUM (Awards.AMOUNT) AS TOTAL' is not recognized as an attribute. I have reviewed the query clause in the display link to see if it is there, such as:
             Attribute        Bind Variable
             ------------     --------------
             Students.ID      :Bind_Id

    WHEHE    :Bind_Id = Awards.ID
    There is no such clause in the query clause page. And I can not add a no more, because the page is grayed out and disabled. I think maybe it's for the same reason: TOTAL is not recognized as an attribute of the price.

    How to get around the problem? Or are there other ways to summarize the total amount and view it in the browser?

    Thank you very much for help!

  • Deleting printer with documents in the queue but cannot be connected to printer Win 7 64 bit

    There is a printer that appears in the devices and printers with documents in the queue, but I'm no longer connected to the printer.

    How do I remove the docs on hold so I can proceed to remove the printer?

    I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, completely up-to-date.

    Hi Linda,.

    Have you tried the steps in my previous answer?

    I suggest you to cancel all items in the print queue and check if the document is deleted.

    To cancel all the elements in a print queue:

    To cancel all the print jobs for a printer, you must have permission to manage documents on the printer.

    1. Go to Start , type Control Panel, select Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then click Printers.
    2. To open the print queue, double-click the printer you are using.
    3. Click the printer menu, and then click Cancel all Documents. Function of the printer, the printing element could finish, but the remaining items will be cancelled.

  • Can I install SQL Plus in a client PC?

    Dear friends,

    I'm working on a PC that accesses the database using PL/SQL Developer and command-line SQLPLUS (instant client). I would like to download SQL PLUS as well. Is there a way? I've seen some way PC but don't know how to do it.

    Could someone guide me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Looking for your support.

    Benard

    My apologies. I did not yet installing Oracle11g customer and assumed it was the same as Oracle 10g. My bad. During the initial examination, I could not find the SQL * Plus for Windows (sqlplusw.exe) in the Oracle11g Client installation or the other.

    Could always try installing with Oracle10g customer or Oracle10g Express Edition.

    Had heard some comments awhile back that SQL * Plus for Windows would disappear at some point, but do not think that was going to be to 11g of product.

  • Cannot see the developer plus sql or sql table

    I created a folder in the application designer. Then I built the table. I can close the file and then find it in the application designer. But if I go to sql plus and sql developer, I do not see it. Am I missing a step?

    You can probably see all the tables of the sysadm because someone else give you good grant for objects of this existing on sysadm.
    For the purpose of new or modified (drop + create) you should:
    1. log in as sysadm and run

    grant select on new_table_name to your_own_user;

    2. connect with your own user and run

    create synonym new_table_name for sysadm.new_table_name;

    Then you will be able to query this table without using schema name alias.
    Some admin also have a ddl trigger to make it automatically.
    You can also work with a role and a public synonym if more than one user needs access to the objects of sysadm.

    Nicolas.

    No idea why they are not display correctly in SQL * more?

    Thank you

    The data is stored correctly, as shown in the PICTURE, even if you really do not have the data expected if I'm only guessing.

    The problem is most likely with the police. Your command prompt is implemented with code 850 (WE8PC850), but the police page seems to be in the code page 437 (US8PC437). You should change the font to a non-raster font or change page codes and NLS_LANG to the code page 437.

    Note, do not define NLS_LANG in system properties, because it affects so Oracle Forms. Set only in the command prompt given.

    Thank you

    Added two adapters, one as a host-only, as NAT.

    We add a few entries tnsnames.ora for network database servers.

    Developer SQL inside the VM can connect to all three databases: XE, remote_db1 and remote_db2.

    SELECT * FROM Dual using a remote connection returns the data immediately.

    SQL * Plus inside the VM can connect to XE, but not to a remote server. It hangs just for awhile and finally back: ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

    Outside of the virtual machine (on the host), Developer SQL (database connection Type) and SQL (sqlplus connection string) can connect to all three systems.

    What is going on?

    Sounds like the hostname resolution failed.

    A host name must be resolved to an IP address. If you use a host name in the TNS connection string, you need to make sure that it can be resolved to an IP address. With the help of the ping command is an easy way to determine if the host name is resolved.

    Some listeners (such as remote control and headphones RAC), accepts a connection client and in response redirect the client to a different hostname (and port). For example, a remote listener can serve 10 cases (each with a different service name). The client connects, asking servcice5. The listener redirects the customer to hostname ora-Server5 on port 1521. The customer now tries to connect to ora-Server5, to resolve the hostname to an IP address and then make the call to connect.

    If the listener can redirect the customer to a new host name - and the customer must be able to resolve the host name. The error that you get so don't always relates to the connection initial listener. It can also occur when the client driver follows the redirect to the listener and attempt a new connection to a new host.

  • A question about the Oracle SQL Developer Oracle instance connection

    Hi all

    I would be grateful if you could kindly give me a helping hand.

    Recently, I installed the Oracle 11 g on Linux (ubuntu 8.10) database. I not create startup scripts. So here's how I start the server: (my linux user name is "dariyoosh", but in order to start the server I have connection on the terminal shell as user 'oracle')
    dariyoosh@alborz:~$ su oracle
    Password:
    oracle@alborz:/home/dariyoosh$ cd
    oracle@alborz:~$ ORACLE_SID=database01
    oracle@alborz:~$ . oraenv
    ORACLE_SID = [database01] ?
    The Oracle base for ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1 is /u01/app/oracle
    oracle@alborz:~$ sqlplus '/as sysdba'
    ...
    SQL> STARTUP NOMOUNT
    ORACLE instance started.
    ...
    SQL> ALTER DATABASE MOUNT;
    ...
    SQL> ALTER DATABASE OPEN;

    Database altered.
    Then I can work without any problems with my database and everything works pretty well. Today, I decided to install Oracle SQL Developer IDE as it makes it easier to modify the SQL code. My problem is that after reading the tutorial Oracle online, that I am still able to connect to my database. Firstly according to the method that I wrote, I have set up the Oracle instance. But then when I run Oracle SQL Developer I don't know what to choose for the user name and password? because since SQL * Plus shell as you can see I always write: "sqlplus 'virtue sysdba' and it does not prompt me for any password, I can access the database directly." Any idea? What password? What user name? for Oracle SQL Developer?

    Thanks in advance.

    When you connect "/ as sysdba", you actually connect as the user named SYS from the privileges of your operating system. SYS is the owner of the database and a privileged user. You really want to use this username for the day to day operations, but only for what can do only SYS. If you need a different user name. Several Oracle databases have a user named SCOTT who has a number of tables for use tutorial. By default, the password for SCOTT's "Tiger." You may also have other demo users, such as "HR". I admit that I forgot what is the password of the HR, but it doesn't really matter because SYS can change with this command:

    ALTER USER hr IDENTIFIED BY whateveryouwant;

    This command:

    SELECT USERNAME FROM ALL_USERS;

    lists all the users in your database. Understand that many of these users are there as owners of objects such as stored procedures and tables for Application Express, or TYPEs for Oracle Locator, not for general use. When you are ready to create your own objects, ask SYS create a username for them with

    CREATE USER myusername IDENTIFIED BY mypassword;

    and grant that user the privileges as necessary. You'll want to read before you get too far - I think that the developer of the Application Guide is a good starting point.

  • Need help, unable to connect to the ODBC database using the SQL Toolbox!

    Hi all

    I'm playing around with the evaluation of SQL Toolkit (2.2 + patch) and I'm having trouble.

    I ran the example 'connect' program and it seems to work fine.

    However, I try to write my own program, and I get the same message:

    "Service connection BD: (return value ==-10 [0xFFFFFFF6])."

    Native error - 2147467259 code 0x80004005

    The message is different from time to time, but the return value is constant.

    I use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and MySQL.

    For MySQL, I installed the last Connector ODBC, 5.3.4. Inside the Control Panel / Data Sources (ODBC), I have a DSN called test_mysql in DSN user and system DSN.

    I ran a test on the connection and the test passes. I don't know if I have to use the ansi or unicode driver, I tried both with the same success.

    I do not know I had properly configured the SQL Server connection and who will try again.

    My Code CVI is quite simple:

    hdbc = connection BD ("DSN = test_mysql");

    Whenever I get a - 10 BD. Either I have something configured wrong or am I missing something.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Update 2:

    After getting off the phone with Technical Support, the problem has been identified!

    LabWindows SQL Toolkit requires 32 bits DNS. My PC is a 64-bit, so my default DNS Manager in 64-bit.

    I needed to use the DNS Manager 32-bit when you work with the box tool.

    Once I created my DNS connections using the 32-bit version of the Datga ODBC Source manager, everything worked fine.
