I am able to download... but when it runs the installation of locks.  Microsoft has released about 7 updates recently and I was able to install all except KB2463332

Why this update lock on installation?

    Thank you!

    Hi BarbE52,

    1. you receive messages or error codes?

    2. have you tried to install the update manually?

    Method 1:

You can read the following article and try to reset the Windows Update components and check.

  • Problems installing the Apple updates. System error program cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing on your computer. "

Original title: I am a computer newbie, could someone explain/direct me?  Many thanks, Mark

Recently, I received an Apple update normal I-tunes.  Have done a little before, never with a problem.  This time, it seemed that everything was fine, then at the end (when expects a message "successfully installed", I received an error box with this: APS Daemon.exe - error system, the program cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing on your computer.)  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. "Well, since nothing else seems to work (or helping) and my music files have been backed up, I uninstalled I-Tunes successfully, then attempted to re - install.  I had to download the installation of Apple, which was very good. Once again, everything seemed to go smoothly, installation, etc. until it got to the point when he said "Marketing Services".  Then, as before - everything stopped and jumped up to the exact same APS Daemon.exe - error box system (with the same message) referencing MSVCR80.dll once again, saying that it is missing and try to reinstall the program.  From now on, I don't know exactly what that means (I know, I know) or if it's something someone like I could fix (or even try), or if I should just run down to my local computer store?   Never had any problems with the Apple or Windows updates before this one.

I fought it for about 2 years or more. I can't find anything specific to this message (D59) error. If you have the answer, tell me in simple terms. I looked 28 possible causes and none of them seem familiar and the codes aren't 'D59. Any help here?

  • wlmail.exe - System Error__The program cannot start because d3d10_1.dll is missing on your computer.

I got an error serious and chronic with critical update for Silverlight that has not more than once, so until I could find a solution to this problem I always disable this update and 2 other partners to the updates of Microsoft Office that is not too, until I noticed a NEW UPDATE for Windows Mail of life that worked perfectly on my system I've allowed the update and left it to work... He installed msn messenger, photo gallery, and then all of a sudden popped a window asking for information on Silverlight, what were the initial cause do not install this update on this particular window I clicked on cancel, the window closed and continued installation or fear that we say seemed to continue installation installation of the ActiveX components, live mail , he was somewhere to reach 70-80% done then would start back at zero % saying failed to install click to see...

On the resolution of this problem I could clearly see there was a problem with the installation of photo gallery and especially on this stage, I was always asked to answer where the original Silverlight Installation came... .a place was there that windows did not find and I could not replace it until I contacted the Technical Support Microsoft with Silverlight updated and get it sorted...

When trying to install update and failing, he told me that everything was back as it was, and really I still use msn direct, wlmail, and all the other essential components of the life of windows that were installed and working perfectly well before this update, I tried once more just to give it a try it happens exactly the same mistake and restored the source of windows live essentials and everything worked as usual I tried the link for help that took me to the point stat to install the update so I thought to eliminate the update of the photo gallery and left msn and mail selected and tried to update, who worked in the same way, as if I was install the entire update and has not yet rolled here I tried a 4th time the de-selection of all components leaving only Live Mail selected Once again, same procedure which has past, but when to back off and tries to access my wlmail.com I got this dll error! At the beginning he told me d3d9.dll missed try to reinstall the program, it can fix the problem...

It is then when I decided to find a solution to not install the update of Silverlight and contacted Microsoft Technical support with the problem which they helped me solve it and thought I had found the magic solution for the updates as windows now silverlight has been installed and run again updated He asked not for Silverlight, it went up to 90% then failed and rolled back the reason this time was library was not answer! I run the windows Cleanup utility which I solved problem with Silverlight Update, I found on 4-5 occurrences or every live windows component is 4-5 facilities in msn Messenger, photo library,... wlmail.com so I cleaned all and run the update which finally got installed, but the ERROR REMAINED was now changed to d3d10_1.dll d3d9.dll is missing...

I'll appreciate any technical advice including a real download for the dll files missing I tried many sites which lead to advertisements to download a program or another that will magically solve my problem!

    Thanks for your support!

Thanks for your quotation, I follow the link and did as advised I couldn't uninstall Windows Live Essentials 2011 as it kept error and do back, so in an effort to itself, I tried to uninstall Windows Live Essentials 2011 component by component IE WLMSN, WLMAIL, and so now I finally uninstall all of them except for Windows Live Photo Gallery his 26-27% gives two errors and restores so now only Gallery Phot cannot be uninstalled, I posted the error detailed on this site and got a private reply to host almost a week ago, asked me to export my Install registry to verify which version is installed and I have upload only that no flow back far I always had the missing dll error at first upward dwm.exe - which I don't have any idea what program he calls , but for sure, it's a start of Microsoft program as when I did a selective startup upward and disabled all startup programs, including Microsoft those error disappeared once I have reactivated the Microsoft services, it appeared again!

Bottom line the rear roller of failure Windows Live Essentials 2011 installation screwed up in my wlmail which I can access either no MSN messenger and no activex because of these dll missing!

I really need back my work wlmail.exe and I'm at the point of doing a restore or clear the entire hard drive and re - install Windows 7 then please your urgent support is required!

    Hello Sisi reddi, welcome.

You can try a solution that worked before on S2k3.  Try this on affected systems:

    1. click on START
2 type "notepad" (without the quotes) and press enter
3 copy and paste the following text in Notepad:

    LETTER
    CD %windir%\system32\wbem
    Mofcomp.exe cimwin32.mof
    Regsvr32 /s wbemupgd.dll
    Regsvr32 /s wbemsvc.dll
    Wmiprvse/regserver

    4. click on file > save as
    5. change the drop-down list (file type) to "all files".
    6. name the file sqlfix.bat, and then save it to your desktop
    7. from there, right-click on the file and choose "Run as Administrator". If it works that way, you can also open it WITHOUT choosing run as administrator and see what happens.

    8. now try to install SQL 2 k 5

  • Windows Update failed - error 0 x 80070643 for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332)

Original title: Windows Update Failed - need help

Vista 32 Ultimate with all updates, until this one: update Windows failed: error 0 x 80070643 for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332). Update has failed repeatedly.  I tried to restart, remove the update (even by deleting the file so it would download it again) and install again.  Nothing has worked.  Error 80070643.  Since it is not Office 2003, the error seems to mean a problem with the Windows .NET framework.  Don't know what that means.

Looking at KB976982, I tried to fix MSI software update registration corruption issues (whatever that means) by running the automated Fix It by KB971187. Restarted, I tried Windows Update again.  Still didn't update.

Then, I waited two days and tried again.  Even that did not help.

I tried bypassing Windows Update simply by downloading and then run the file SQLEXPR32.exe from Microsoft downloads. Did not work at all. I then tried to run it as an administrator (even if it was already an administrator account, with no other account on this computer at all).  He started to run and then gave me the following error message: unable to run the SQL Server System Configuration Checker due configulation WMI on the computer.  Error: 70347 (0x112cb).

Now I'm really confused.  On the one hand, 80070643 means I probably repair the .NET framework, which certainly, I hate to do because I need several versions of the .NET framework first uninstall and then try to install the compmonents, and I'm afraid something would go wrong.

On the other hand, the 70347 (0x112cb) error message seems to indicate the problem is completely different and has to do with WMI, which probably has to do with permissions and I have no idea how to solve this problem.  (And why it all of a sudden would be any problem with permissions?)  This computer is not on a corporate network and has only one user account, the administrative account).  I have looked at Services and Applications in computer management, where there are WMI control, but nothing shown that I can possibly change and not the SQL Server Configuration Manager under it, which doesn't seem to have much either.

    Help!  Please...

And now I also tried to fix it, just in case where, the .NET framework (Panel > programs and features > Microsift.NET framework Client profile 4 > uninstall/change > fix it), and the Windows Update tried again (including reboot).  Still no.  Everything I try, it is not to do nothing, pardon my language.  People smarter than me, pleasehelp!

Just, I solved the problem I had.

It turns out, there, there were two questions... first concealing the second.

SQL Web browser has not been activated.  solution: in properties SQL server configuration manager, transformed the startup to automatic mode and activated the service.

Microsoft Visual Studio project property targetdatasourcefolder had a server name that precedes the name of the folder. Removed the name of the server.  This works.

    Everything unfolds right now.

  • Activate connections encrypted for the database engine (SQL Server Configuration Manager)

    Hi team,

I have a quick question, on the protocols for properties of SQL. Option:

SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server Network Configuration > Protocol for SQL_xxx (right click) > properties, we can see two tabs:

    Tab 1: flags

    Tab 2: certificate

If I put the value of Instance of hide = Yes, 'Force Enctyption', the fact must be set to YES as well?

Or Enctyption of the Force must be activated in order to hide the instance?

    What is recommend settings?

I can see there are good article, but would appreciate if a response.

Have you checked with the ODBC test utility isql (it is installed by default when you install the unixODBC Driver Manager) If your ODBC driver can connect at all to this named instance? I doubt it will work either as there was that a blog has commented by MS engineer:

which States that the instance named connections are not supported using this driver.

We want to set up replication between Oracle and SQL server database, but we do not want to install Golden Gate on the SQL server system. Is there a way to set up on the side of the Oracle or by using a staging server that connects to SQL server remotely?

    Thank you

    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

It is possible to install the Oracle delivery process in one remote server other than the server where the Sql server database is installed. Please check the point below "Using Oracle GoldenGate 12 c with SQL Server databases"

Install Oracle GoldenGate Capture on the source database server. Read level access is from the journal transactions requires Capture to be installed on the local database server and not on a remote server. Installation of Oracle GoldenGate delivery can be on another server that target the database server, as long as are the pilots of the SQL Server client on this server and the connection to the target database can be established.

  • Why is a user with the DBA privilege necessary side SQL Server to migrate?

    Greetings

Project to migrate a SQL database to Oracle using SQL Developer.

The docs say that a user with DBA privileges is required in the SQL Server database when you run the migration of the side Oracle.

    Why?

Why a user with only READ access to SQL Server data would be necessary?

    Thank you very much!!

    -gary

The DBA privilege at the source database is required because SQL Dev Migration is also collect information from SQL Server system tables, which a normal user is not always possible to query. It is mandatory that the migration is trying to build an Oracle schema which corresponds as much as possible the source database.
But this requires having become DBA in the foreign database to avoid permission problems. If you SQL Server admin does not want the DBA privilege, you can also do a Migration offline - here the ADMINISTRATOR must run the generated scripts offline in-> Migration-> 3rd capture in the database offline party

Thanks Nirmal for the acknowledgement of receipt.

As you can see, we ended up find us the answer.
(BOWL is not same document how to grant "Log on as a service", under Server 2008 R2, WHEN ON THE DOMAIN CONTROLLER.)  BOWL documents which fully Server 2003, but only partially for Server 2008 R2.)

But we are not given the opportunity to "mark as answer" on our own solution.
If YOU think that the INFORMATION we posted had value, YOU may mark as answer.

    The TechNet link:
Unable to connect to SQL Server... (includes advice in response: measures to grant permissions in Active Directory, the domain server * RUNNING SERVER 2008 R2 *).

    Thanks again.

  • Determination of needs memory to SQL Server

    Hi all

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the answer to this question.  And it seems strange because I really can't believe I'd be the first person in this situation.

    The situation:

I pull some data on about 30 servers perfmon to size a new farm to run some of our external facing infrastructure.  I get good data most of the boxes (ui, search, intermediate level, etc.) but not the SQL servers.  Regardless of the load on the server, SQL seems to devour almost all available memory.  Read about managing memory SQL, it is not surprising that he would show the way in perfom and/or the Task Manager, but I need to get a handle on the amount of memory, these servers will need to function properly.

I know that there is much more to the issue of performance, but a SQL Server in particular has 32 GB of physical memory and SQL is actively filling 30 of it.  It would make a horrible candidate (like less because our host record and consolidation target ratios) for virtual server.  That said, I like the impression that this server might work on much less and uses this 30G because he can.

There are people who would say "Start with 4 G, test, and add more than necessary".  Unfortunately, this is not really an option for us given the timeline and the visibility of the migration.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide assistance here!

    -Brent

Personally I start with 1 GB and work toward the top, but this depends on how active do you think that the server is.  If you think its quite busy then try using 2 GB for the operating system and give 1.5 GB to SQL and see how it behaves.

Unfortunately, SQL will use given to her in the SQL Manager properties before you begin to re - use all available memory.

The only way to really tell is to determine if your server is under memory pressure and adjust accordingly.  Unfortunately, this means start low and going back as things are going to hell.

This will help to see if your server knows the memory pressure

    Memory

    • Memory: Available bytes

    • Memory: Pages/sec reads

    • Process: Working together: sqlserver

    • SQL Server: Buffer Manager: Buffer Cache Hit Ratio

    • SQL Server: Memory Manager: Total memory of the server (KB)

The memory: available bytes indicates the amount of physical memory, in bytes.

immediately available for allocation to a process or for system use. It is a memory

not currently in use by the system.

The memory: pages/sec reads shows the rate, in incidents per second, at which the

disk was read to resolve hard page faults. This counter indicates the number of read operations, without

with regard to the number of pages retrieved in each operation. Hard page faults occur when a process

fact refers to a virtual memory page that must be retrieved from disk because it is not in his

working set or elsewhere in physical memory. This counter is a primary indicator for types

defects that cause delays throughout the system.

    A low number of available bytes indicates that there may be not enough memory available;

or processes, including SQL Server, may not be free memory. A high number of faults Pages/sec

indicate excessive paging. A more in-depth look at individual instances of process: Page

Defects/s, to see if the SQL Server process, for example, has an excessive paging can be

necessary. A low rate of defects of Pages/sec (usually 5 to 10 per second) is normal, as the

operating system will continue to make a home on the range of work.

Ideally, we'd like for SQL Server to be the only application on the server and with most of

the memory in the box. Add memory to a server and configure SQL Server to use is

beyond the scope of this article, but the more, the better.

The process: working together: sqlserver instance indicates the amount of memory that SQL Server

use, in bytes. If the number is always less than the amount of SQL Server is configured

for use by the MIN SERVER MEMORY and MAX SERVER MEMORY options, and then SQL Server is

configured for too much memory. Otherwise, you may have to increase the RAM and MAX SERVER MEMORY.

Buffer Cache Hit Ratio should be constantly greater than 90. This indicates that the

data provided 90 per cent of requests for data cache. If this value is always

low, it is a very good indicator that needs more memory to SQL Server. If it is available

Bytes is low, which means that we should add more RAM.

If the total memory of the server for SQL Server is always higher than the total memory of the server,

It indicates that there is not enough RAM. This counter is in KB, as opposed to bytes for the process: working together: sqlserver
