  I saw this problem in other threads, but none that are up to date.

  This happened to me often, noise indicator and light suddenly stops working. I also have audio Beats on my laptop. I have the keys f2 and f3 for the brightness and f9 and f10 to volume.

  Many of the other threads recommending the reinstallation or update of the IDT Audio driver. By using this site, I've updated the audio driver but still indicators are not displayed.

  1. delete all the Nvidia drivers.

  2 restart the computer.

  3. go in the local C: drive. (If you have already installed the driver of Lenovo) files should still be there.

  Then you should see 6 files including folders. The first thing you want to run the BrightnessStep. Then go to the NVIDIA folder

  4 C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO\NVIDIA and run the installer. Then, restart the computer.

  Once restarted, return to the same location C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO (if the level of brightness buttons do not work F5, F6) keep reading.

Somehow my poking around I discovered that all records in the tree of my personal have been marked read only and hidden. After that I removed the 2 attributes of all files and folders, LightRoom returns to see & access to all.

  All manufacturers gives a utility program for the function keys to work. Visit this link , choose your operating system and look under utility control from laptop and the section download the appropriate utility and install the same.

  Note:

  Before installing the new drivers make sure to uninstall the drivers already.
