"The system administrator has prohibited this action" error message

Why do I get a message saying "the system administrator has blocked this measure. Contact your system administrator or log off and log on as a system administrator. » ? I am the system administrator, and I AM logged on as system administrator! Access control state that I have complete control of the system, but I get this message!

This is a brand new computer, simply put on yesterday (Sunday, September 18, 2011) with Windows7 Home Premium installed. I tried to load a print shop software, and it has not installed correctly. When I tried to correct the problem and when I tried just uninstall the program and restart, the above message is what I get! So now I can use the program or uninstall it! Given that we want to bash my new computer with a baseball bat! :)

Help, please! Also, I am to a point - less computer tech jargon best! Thank you!!!

Hello

1. are you able to install other programs?

2. What is the error message or an exact error code?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Try to run the program as administrator and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to run the program as Administrator:

a. right-click right the program and click Run as administrator.

b. then try to uninstall the program.

Method 2:

Give all the permissions on your user account and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to give all permissions:

a. click Start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press enter.

b. right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , and then click permissions.

c. click Add under the Security tab and add a new group: everyone.

d. Select everyone and check the option: total control.

e. restart the computer and check if the problem is solved or not.

Warning: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Method 3:

Try to create a new user account and check if it helps.

Create a new user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Create-a-user-account

If the new user account works, see steps on how to copy files to the new user profile in Microsoft article provided: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Hope the information is useful.

Is the only program that you experience this problem with?  If Yes can you install the demo version on their website?   You can also right click on the Setup disk file and select "Run as Administrator" and see if that helps.  Let us know the results of these elements. • Get the message: the system administrator has set policies during the uninstall of a program.

    Original title: uninstall error.

How can I uninstall without the system administrator has set policies

    Hi Telowe,

    1 are logged as administrator?

    2. you have more than one administrator account on your computer?

    3. what application you are trying to uninstall?

    4. this happens only with a specific application?

    Method 1:

You can try disabling UAC and check if you are able to uninstall the program. Try the instructions in the following article to disable UAC.
Enable or disable the User Account Control

Note: We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

    Method 2:

You can temporarily disable a security software and firewall installed on the system and check if the problem persists.

Note: Be sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Suggestion:

Turn off User Account Control (UAC).
    Try to install.
If it works, please make sure you turn UAC.

    Where is the UAC:

Start button > Control Panel > column on the left, select Classic view > user accounts > select user accounts enable or disable > uac prompt > uncheck "use account control...". "
