The System Field Test failure

This computer runs very slowly since the day it was bought. After serving in a renamed repair store, we assured me there was nothing wrong with her and sold virus protection. A few months later he started to slow again. Then one day, it would be unlocked. After you close it manually with the button / stop and removing the battery, I was able to get into the 'HP Advanced Diagnostic System' to the new service. At that time, I had all the "failures" are attached. It comes to the laptop HP Pavilion PC g7 model. The product number is LF158UA #ABA. Information on what these failures and how to fix them, mean would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Equium L10-300 - message "media test failure".

    Hello

    I'm asking on behalf of a friend. They recently, accidentally had a spill of liquid on the keyboard of their laptop Equium L10-300 which resulted in the message "media test failure" appearing on the screen and makes it so the laptop unusable. Apparently when the liquid was split open CD-ROM drive (coincidence?), while the player also "clicky" sounds when the case he pressed.

    Is their machine completely buggered now or maybe just the hard drive / liquid obtained in the drive? Are there recommendations for when such an incident occurs or just let it dry out and hope for the best?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Michael

    The liquid spited in Notepad is the worst thing that can happen.

    > Is their machine completely buggered now or maybe just the hard drive / liquid obtained in the drive? Are there recommendations for when such an incident occurs or just let it dry out and hope for the best?

    Why hard drive? I fear that the defective mainborad may be responsible for this message (IDE controller). Boyfriend sorry but it is just a recommendation, contact the service and let check the laptop.

  • Can not recover! Diagnostic system passed test!

    Hello community,
    I tried the systems diagnostic test by pressing F2 on start-past the test and the process drainage but always also tried has not worked. I repeatedly press F11 when I restart the computer, but a white screen with colorful letters and boxes pop up. Anyone able to help me?

    Initially, the cell will have the recovery Partition and that would give you an option to create a recovery disk set. If you have not created these recovery discs when the laptop was in working condition we can do right now

    From now if you need to recover your laptop through the new operating system, you can check if the recovery Partition

    is a condition in a work, or not, if yes you can easily recover/restore your laptop

    If the recovery Partition is corrupted

    You need to call HP Support and demand for a set of recovery disks, then you can recover/restore your laptop at the earliest

    OR

    You need to call Microsoft and buy an operating system with the license key, so that you can recover/restore your laptop at the earliest

    I highly recommend you Contact HP Support by phone for assistance without delay

    Hello

    For me, it looks like a malfunction of the HARD drive and so the BIOS can not find a bootable device and goes to the last possible bootable option which is LAN.

    The exclamation mark in front of the HARD drive indicates that there is a problem with the HARD drive so I think you need to replace the HARD drive and you need to reinstall the system.

    Duane

    Hello

    This is a code generated by the "F2" diagonistics integrated. In this case, this means that the HARD drive has gone wrong and needs to be replaced.

    If you see a failure code after the full system diagnostic tests, write it down and contact HP support. Otherwise, the agent may ask you to go through the process of diagnostic test again to get the failure code.

    The failure HP code contains four fields of six characters each, such as XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX, where X is an alphanumeric character.

    Have a failure code does not mean that your computer is still under warranty. The date of start of guarantee on the computer determines if it is still under warranty. The agent can help you with this when you contact HP.

    The BIOS displays error codes and messages. The error code consists of two parts. The first byte represents the field replaceable unit (FRU), and the second byte represents the test that failed. If you receive an error code, contact HP with the help error Code

    Now my model isn't a hard drive and I bought second hand, so I have no recovery disks.
    I checked the HARD drive and its seems connected properly.

    Would I need to buy an external drive and try a system disk or is there anything else I could try.

    Any suggestions or advice?

    PXE - E61: media test failure, check cable message appears because the laptop has attempted to boot from LAN.
    Why?
    Because it could not start the HARD drive, or another source like CD/DVD drive.
    Usually this happens because of faulty HARD drive.

    So how to fix?

    I think first of all you will need to replace the HARD drive.

    Since the Portégé R200 doesn't support CD/DVD drive, you must install the system using bootable flash USB stick memory or you would need to buy an external CD-ROM USB drive that would be compatible with protégé R200

  • Satellite C660 - 10 d Operating System not found PXE - E61: Media test failure

    I have a Satellite C660 - 10 d, which is part of the 1 year warranty which has suddenly decided it won't start and makes a strange noise that sounds mechanical.

    I tried the options F2 & F11 at startup, but I always return to the same messages some options I try:

    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller v1.23 (28/07/10)
    PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
    PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM
    Operating system not found.

    I can't go beyond that and get the laptop doesn't work, which leads to my second problem.

    It is under warranty so I thought I would sign in for repair. The serial number is recognized in the section Product Support My. But when I try to enter in the repair section, it is said

    ERROR: serial not valid number.
    Please check and try again.
    Then gives a number to call which only works weekdays.

    So, I have what appears to be a broken laptop that I can currently connect to repair.
    If you are able to help with one of these problems, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    I'm quite sure that the problem is related to the defective HARD drive.
    This would also explain the mechanical noise when starting.

    PXE - E61: Media test failure appears as the laptop attempts to boot from LAN.
    Why? Because the disk HARD could not be found and the CD/DVD drive does not contain a startup disk.

    So the BIOS switched to LAN

    This is why replacement of HARD drive should help you with this problem.
    If the warranty is valid, get in touch with a local ASP in your country. Maybe you could get a HARD disk which could be replaced easily

  • Unit test: calculation of the length of the different columns in recordsets provided and received led to false a test failure

    Dear team of SQL Developer,

    It seems that the calculation of the length of the column in the expected and received recordsets behaves differently in some cases (when stored proc variables are used in the generation of the REF CURSOR, despite the explicit definition of the type of record): the length of the header and the length of the value in the set of records received are truncated to arbitrary length based on the returned value which leads to a false failure of a unit test. I.e. registries are the same in both sets of records, but the test run fails to the comparison of the recordsets because of different length. Please see the screenshot below:

    Expected_and_Received_RecordSets.jpg

    Here's the test case if you need to reproduce the problem/bug in your environment:

    1. use the default schema of HR of the Oracle examples package that comes with an 11 g database.

    2. change the HR. Table EMPLOYEES with the addition of a new column VARCHAR2 (4000) LONG_LAST_NAME:

    ALTER TABLE HR. EMPLOYEES

    ADD (LONG_LAST_NAME VARCHAR2 (4000));

    Update hr.employees set long_last_name = last_name;

    commit;

    3. create a PKG_TEST2 package with the source code below in the HR schema:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    create or replace PACKAGE PKG_TEST2 AS

    TYPE EmployeeInfoRec IS RECORD

    (

    long_last_name employees.long_last_name%TYPE,

    first name employees.first_name%TYPE,

    E-mail employees.email%TYPE

    );

    TYPE EmployeeInfoRecCur IS REF CURSOR RETURN EmployeeInfoRec;

    FUNCTION getEmployeeInfo (p_Emp_Id employees.employee_id%TYPE)

    RETURN EmployeeInfoRecCur;

    END PKG_TEST2;

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY PKG_TEST2 AS

    FUNCTION getEmployeeInfo (p_Emp_Id employees.employee_id%TYPE)

    RETURN EmployeeInfoRecCur AS

    v_EmployeeInfoRecCur EmployeeInfoRecCur;

    v_LongLastName varchar2 (4000);

    BEGIN

    Select long_last_name from v_LongLastName

    employees

    where employee_id = p_Emp_Id;

    --

    OPEN FOR V_EmployeeInfoRecCur

    V_LongLastName SELECT long_last_name,

    first name,

    E-mail

    This_is_very_long_table_alias employees

    WHERE employee_id = p_Emp_Id

    order by 1 CSA;

    --

    RETURN v_EmployeeInfoRecCur;

    EXCEPTION

    WHILE OTHERS THEN

    LIFT;

    END getEmployeeInfo;

    END PKG_TEST2;

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    4. create a unit test for the PKG_TEST2.getEmployeeInfo stored procedure: (click the command create Test, select the stored procedure, click Ok for the pop-up message, click Next, click Finish).

    5. update the default value of dynamic query of value with the one below and save/post changes.

    Select the cursor)

    SELECT long_last_name,

    first name,

    E-mail

    Employees

    WHERE employee_id = idqry.employee_id

    order of the 1 CAD

    ) RETURNS $,.

    idqry.employee_id as P_EMP_ID

    from (select employee_id

    employees

    where rownum < = 5) idqry

    6. run the unit test newly created in the debug mode to display the shot.

    Thus, the record type 'EmployeeInfoRec' in the package clearly defines the LONG_LAST_NAME as VARCHAR2 (4000) through reference for the data type of column in the referenced table.

    But for some reason, the SQL Developer does not calculate correctly its length in the recordset "Receipts" If a variable is used (could be one as variable simple varchar2 in this reproducible test or complex variable of type of the object).

    Any ideas on that? Looks like another bug...

    Thank you

    Val

    The bug has been reproduced by the SRB and documented within the system of Support of Oracle SQL Developer team to pick it up:

    Bug 19943948 - TEST UNIT RETURNS EXPECTED ERROR: [LONG_LAST_NAME

    Hope the bug name can later be changed to something more descriptive, but it is not really... my only concern is the speed at which the known bugs would be fixed...

    Thank you

    Val

  • HP DV7-3063cl laptop PC: BIOS cannot locate the serial number of the new motherboard more PXE - E61: Media test failure, check

    I have recently restored a HP DV7 3063 cl laptop that died a hot mother (MB). I replaced the MB with a new Board of Directors of HP when the price has been reduced to $100, updated the CPU with an announced as new AMD 640 M and applied Arctic Silver on CPU and graphics chips. I put in 4 G memory cool, got the computer to work and installed Windows 10.

    However, I have several problems:

    1. The BIOS cannot locate the serial number of the motherboard during the boot process and sends a message to the effect. I hit the ENTER button start continues.

    I tried to access the BIOS to enter the serial number or other possible solutions, I found online. Help forum a HP had a BIOS software tool for editing of Compaq in 2000 but said it would only be on the desktop and HP staff will provide a BIOS for my laptop.

    2. I get two error messages that

      • PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

      • PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM

    I didn't know all the patches for this issue, but it only delays the process of starting shortly before it continues.

    Finally, the computer starts Windows, but other problems.

    mhscholder,

    There isn't any publicly available method to update information in the BIOS.  HP only authorized service providers can update the MB after installation.  You will get this message during boot every time.  You also won't be able to run a recovery since the recovery media is looking for this information.

    The PXE errors generally occur during the initialization of the network is listed in the boot order before the hard drive.

  • Layers of abstraction appropriate to the system of standardized tests

    Hello, I am working on Standardtised test system designed for functional testing of manufactured products.

    Material, a part of the consinsts system of:

    1. system test unit, which provides the power, charges, generating functions, etc. and a PXI chassis with some devices.

    2. everything is related to a test set-up through a mass at the interface of interconnection.

    3. test contains all the material customized to the DUT.

    The goal is to have several units to test systems that could be easily interchangeable and can accept any test set-up. Any test ficture should be plug-and-play capable on any unit test system. In addition, any component of the system must be interchangeable with a component identical to SW without modification and with different components (different provider, different series, different interface etc.) with the least amount of modification to SW. This requires a hardware abstraction layer. What is not clear to me, what is the recommended strategy and how the software layers should be split between TestStand and LabView.

    Assuming that the usual layers of the Test Application-> Application specific layer-> specific to the software device - plug-in-> drivers, what should go where and how it should be implemented?

    Currently, all layers are implemented in TestStand with ASL and DSSP layers more often intertwined. TestStand sequences directly access LV hardware drivers. Adding new hardware needs to edit these two layers, but exits Test Application intact, but it is clear that this approach is not well dimensionnera.

    Plase advice.

    Thanks in advance!

    IVI is a well established and documented standard. You would have to take design decisions less and less code to write. It is easy to use MAX to assign class-specific drivers. You have existing steps on TestStand to IVI. I don't see where it's more complex than from scratch.

    If you went with IVI, I would use the types of step TestStand place class functions in LabVIEW. If it was me, and using lvoop, I would create a step customized for each class type.
