OK, what happens if my or your computer laptop "kick the bucket" & you buy a new laptop or desktop, but you prefer to run the old system with the previous versions of the software that you have already paid for without going through the cost & time to the upgrade of each simple software package already in use. You can restore the 'image' on the new computer?
I learned that WINDOWS license will somehow recognize the "new" hardware & does not allow the old image of system work. Is this true? This is a particular topic of interest to me because I have a system dual boot XP/WIN 7 & I'm fretting about the possibility of the failure of computer hardware & need to replace the computer itself can no longer have the ability to dual-boot.
You have always advised not if the license was OEM or retail.
If you transfer the license to a new machine do you a clean install, it is legal to do so.
Dual-boot system was originally XP & a DELL machine so I guess the OEM, but not sure because there is no OEM partition. I do not know the laptop that I experimented with is an OEM, because there is an OEM partition. If the PARAGON software circumvented OEM licenses?
I should add that the restoration of the laptop went to a DELL to a DELL, but they do not have the same model. First of all, I did the restore process & had to do a repair install so he can start, but there was a bunch of quirks with the system which actually behave enigmatically. However, when I used PARAGON I was able to start successfully on the 1st attempt & by all accounts seems to work well.
I covered amenities already and you cannot transfer to different Dell Dell and afterwards you will receive a message that it is not genuine
There are rules about whether if you can transfer licenses Windows.
If the computer/laptop comes with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) or is licensed to OEM System Builders, that the product key that came with the computer/laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

Recovery XP system with new hardware
Hello. I have problems with a virus on my HP Media Center m1070n and I think to do a system recovery to get rid of him. It has been really stubborn and nothing I've tried has been able to kill him. I would go ahead and do the system recovery, but after reading the instructions on the HP site, it is said to remove any new hardware that did not come into the PC. The only new material I have is a new video card and more RAM (the old RAM is still there, I just added 2 more sticks). I could get out of the RAM, but the video card is another story. I don't have the original map (it was flat when the computer has a problem of overheating a few years ago).
Is that going to cause a problem if I do a system restore? Do I have other options?

There is no car for this motherboard video. The video card will work fine. When you are recovering make sure you select this option to perform a DESTRUCTIVE RESTORE or the virus will remain.

I need help here.
My HP envy m7 J010dx works perfectly with my original hard drive (1 TB).
I am preparing a second HDD (NEW 320) as backup.
I took off the Moose HDD (1 TB) and replace it with the NEW HARD drive (320GB) and try to do a full recovery of the system with the HP recovery DVD.
After full system recovery and laptop computer needs to be restarted in order to continue, the laptop keeps restarting on the logo of windows 8.
I think it says device not found Boot. Also a test using the UEFI tool material HP and all pass.
Replacing the NEW HARD drive with the original of the old HARD drive and it start normally.
What can go wrong here in this case? Thank you very much for the help.

OK, I read through the thread and this is my point of view on this based on works including restore process with the user created a recovery (UCRDs) media which the user indicated that they used.

With the help of UCRDs sent media recovery media (SSRDs):
When the UCRDs are created, only the drivers for the HW operation (this is a critical point, that I will look later) are burned to the user created a recovery media. After recovery, I had all the Blu - ray drivers and applications supported Blu - ray.
The difference between UCRDs and SSRDs:
UCRDs provide a glimpse of what is installed and functional both disks are created.

SSRDs have all the drivers for all the HW and SW qualified for the unit. After entering the recovery SDRD, the Notebook media boots to Recovery Manager. The first step is a raw copy of all the contents of the disc on a temporary partition. Following the Do / do not process looks at the characteristics of this specific unit and remove all other drivers and applications not used by this device. Drivers and the only successful applications are the features supported. And then, the new operating system and recovery partition is created. The PC end recovery of cleaning process and restart the laptop / desktop. And, Yes, you guessed it, if you create the user created a recovery media, you only have the drivers for HW devices and applications of HP on the PC at the time.
So, that being said, what could be the cause/solution?
Hard drives can be different enough so that a different driver (not the UCRDs) is necessary for the newly installed HW.

I don't know, I have an office boy, and I have not tried on this model of laptop.
If you have / acquire SSRDs, I recover the laptop with the new installed HARD drive and see if it works. It may or may not. I don't know what drives were qualified for this laptop.
If this does not work, the last option is cloning via USB connection (old HARD drive in the PC, new HARD drive connected to a USB 3 via the SATA Adapter (dongle) USB port, install or download software cloning and cloning the old HDD to the new.) I just did this on the two older Windows 7 computers laptops using a SanDisk Ultra kit. He has worked on both units.
Conclusion:
I don't think that the problem is caused from a HARD drive of 1 to a 320 GB HARD drive, as it meets the minimum specs for a complete installation. I think the problem is related to the use of UCRDs to retrieve and the UCRDs do not have the HARD driver/firmware/application disc.
But then again, I know.

Yesterday I tried to update my drivers realtek as recommended by Toshiba notificaions.

You ve removed the Realtek driver, but you cannot install a new. Am I wrong?
First of all, you must clean your registry using CCLeaner free software.
Then go to Device Manager and remove the sound card system devices and PCI devices high definition.
Reboot the laptop.

In despair because of the constant failure of Windows updates, I resolved to follow the suggestion of Microsoft with an 'install-> Upgrade' from my original installation disk.

It would seem that your original DVD came without Service Pack 1.
Over time, you installed SP1 that makes the operating system newer than the one on the DVD.
Uninstall SP1 > do the installation of upgrade repair > reinstall SP1.

Could not start the system image restore
I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.
I want to try to create "system image" and then restore it. Where will it work for me I will use all my 20 PC.
My PC has a C: drive
I partitioned it and now I have C: and D: with an abundance of free space on each.
What I did:
1 created 'image system' and it stored on D: Finally I use the external drive for backups (currently I don't have it and I just want to test that I could save/restore)
2 created "Repair disk", then it I created a bootable USB key, because some of my PC doesn't have a CD ROM
3. start the machine from USB and select "Restore from system image". He acknowledged that the image is on D: but immediately restore failed with this message:
"Cannot restore the system selected in this recovery environment image."
Navigation on various forums, it seems that this message comes because of 32 bit and 64 bit OS repair disc.
Where my 2 questions:
1. maybe my question related to the fact that I'm not restoring external hard drive but another partition?
2. in case I have a problem with 32 bit vs 64 bit... and how it could happened? I used Win 7 Enterprise to create this disc, but I don't know if it defaults to 32-bit or 64-bit or he even gave me the opportunity to choose amongst...

Hello, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit classic mode. My system specs are listed under my signature.
Before installing a program today, I went to create a system restore point. In system properties > System Protection, I see that in the Protection settings > disks available there are two instances of the C: drive tagged like this:

HDD0 (C :) (Missing) Protection onThis is probably due to having recently replaced my C: drive with a disk larger to help to restore from a System Image backup. The installation seems to succeed. (I use now!)
Note: other readers in Protection settings are showing off Protection.
When I clicked on "Set up" in system properties > System Protection, I have seen that in the restoration of settings, the box "Turn off active Protection" has been selected. I put the option button "restore system settings and previous versions of files. In space, the slider was set to 0. I put it to 1% (857,54 MB).
When I tried to leave the system of Protection for the dialog to HDD0 (c) I got this error:
There was an unexpected error in the property page:
The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. (0x8007007B)
Close the property page and try again.I deleted all restore points, then created a new restore point. Current usage shows now 29,48 MB. I still get the error when I try to the OK from the dialog box. When I click on the system restore and start the Restore Wizard that I can see the restore point, I just created.

I get the following error message when my installed executable tries to imagine a cRIO: ' 15 error occurred at the library function node call in nisyscfg.lvlib: Set the system (folder) .vi:1-> nisyscfg.lvlib Image: System to define Image (file) .vi:1-> GetSetSystemImage.vi'. Displays the possible reason: ' LabVIEW: resource not found. "

Problem solved! Correct installation packages are: NISysAPI_Framework, NISysCfg_Runtime, mDNS_Responder, NI_Curl, NI_SSL_Support, NI_TraceEngine, NI_RPC and the mxRmCfg.dll.

Favorites are stored in files URL - a favorite in a file. Search for yourhard drive for them.
