  • Cancellation and the transactions Table segment

    Hello

    I'm confused.

    As a rollback segment can have about 34 locations of transaction in his operating table in 11g, and we will have 10 segments to cancel first, that must surely mean that we cannot have 340 concurrent transactions at a time, Yes? But we can have more, and it's confusing me.

    I read the core Oracle JL at the moment, I'm sure he explained it this way and that the weakness is in my opinion and I did not understand something, but if someone can help me here it would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    >
    Does this mean that Oracle will have to create a new rollback segment
    >
    You already know the answer to that.

    Through the book, slowly and carefully and imagine examples like this one you read. Then try to confirm the finding the sections that talk about this issue. The one complaint I have about the book is that the index is not very useful. I would like to see more references, especially for key words.

    But two pages more than where we were before you can find it in ' beginning and end of the Transaction "on Page 28
    >
    When a session starts a transaction, it chooses a rollback segment, selects an entry from the operating table, increment the film #...
    >
    So if the ITL, if it is FULL (each slot used by a current transaction) there are only two choices: wait until a slot opens, or create a new rollback segment.

  • Transaction $ v can be used to obtain an estimate of the progress of the transaction?

    Hello

    My question is simple. I am required to push data from one environment to another, because the volume of data is important, that I would like to have an estimate of the status.

    I'm just an access direct-path insert using a simple query:

    INSERT / * + APPEND * / INTO TABLE

    SELECT * FROM TABLE@DBL_DWQ;

    Because it does not go to v$ session_longops, I can get something out of transaction$ v? I can see the info like used_ublk and used_urec, but I don't know if I can deduce something out of these fields. Let's say table a 40 M records, before ending the value of used_urec will be 40 m? If the current value of used_urec is 20 M, I can say that half of the transaction is carried out? Or it is not a simple one-to-one relationship between used_urec and the total number of lines to be inserted?

    Thanks in advance.

    UNDO for INSERT is much smaller that CANCEL to REMOVE

    If the answer is 'NO '.

  • v$ used_urec of the transaction, but the total available urec?

    Hello
    I wonder if I can know how much urec (records cancel or cancel block) I've got like database in full.
    So if the transaction $ v used_urec = 1000, I know it's 10% off all available records.
    DB is 9.2.0.8.

    Cancellation files can be any size around 100 bytes of a block entires, so there is no measure that you can apply. You can consider only the number of undo blocks, which is about the same as the number of blocks of cancellation in the tablespace, undo that you use.

    Hi all

    I have a problem with the DBMS_REDEFINITION package. Our application does have a problem. very basically, I just want to a partitioned table. This table is very active, especially inserts and deletes. I create partitined table, that the can_redef_Table procedure to no control, no error when I run the procedures START_REDEF_TABLE or COPY_TABLE_DEPENDENTS, the application starts to get "the transaction is in doubt," error for all operations that the use of this table. A c# .net application is, I don't have a lot of information about this (I know if it's necessary). Here is a simple code I used.

    > I just found something. Since our .net application uses the method of distributed transaction (as I understand)

    I am interested in this, if you can ask your .net developers - on this page:

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb896149 (v = sql.110) .aspx

    There is an example 'TransactionScope example 3.

    It shows that the two operations are established, internal and external (nested), and each uses its own connection.

    I was wondering if the two transactions (who work in the connections of different database and database sessions) work together as one "logical transaction", IE. as XA distributed transaction.

    I looked at the documentation for the TransactionScope to the page:

    https://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172152.aspx

    but I couldn't find the answer to this question.

  • Restore the transaction committed

    I am trying to execute the procedure in Oracle 12 c using SQL Developer

    create table Parent
    (
    ID number(5),
    Name Varchar2(50)
    );
    create table Child
    (
    ID number(5),
    Name Varchar2(50)
    );
    Procedure ParentProc
    begin
    //Doing the Transactions
    insert into Parent values(1,'Parent');
    //calling child proc
    ChildProc;
    rollback;
    end ParentProc;

    Procedure ChildProc
    begin
    //Doing the Transactions
    insert into child values(1,'Child');
    commit;
    end ParentProc;

    The value in the child table persists even after that the restoration is used in the parent process.

    There is a solution where the validation of the procedure of the child can be eliminated, but as child procedure is called by other sources also directly, if validation is necessary here.

    And also, I don't want to use a variable to separate he was called by any other process, or if called directly.

    I just want to know if I use the valid approach, I am submitting commit or rollback of the calling program

    that I learned from this https://blogs.oracle.com/dev2dev/entry/write_recovery_code_with_transaction

    This article shows everything we said.

    1. the DML is run by the customer

    2. then the command also committed by the customer if the DML succeeded

    Just a question will be the oracle database GET two calls from the calling program

    (1) the first Call When I Sumit the query.

    (2) second call when I submit Commit / Rollback.

    Yes - there are two statements and each of them will be sent to the server separately.

    During this period the uncommitted transaction will be lock on the tables that are in the DML statements. or it is a hidden life?

    Yes - No validated DML may have line and/or table locks. These locks will not come UNTIL the end of transactions - that is, until a commit or rollback is performed.

  • How do I know if the transactions in the AP has been posted to GL

    It's maybe a stupid question, but that is the question.

    The customer said they had posted entries of AP GL for a particular account.

    1. how to check that transactions related to this particular account was duly transferred to GL?

    Can I use the closer in GL to see if transactions have been posted or not? or other tools?

    The State of balance AP will give me all transactions with a posted?

  • Transaction is written to the log file and it is not written to undo tablespace. During a failure of the system how oracle rolls back the transaction.

    Hi all

    My question is:

    Transaction is written to the log file and it is not written to undo tablespace.

    During a failure of the system how oracle rolls back the transaction.

    I have already provided the answer, you ignored if well (you seem to only read the responses by people of your country).

    Redo log is always written * first * before * writing to the data block (redo log writing is much more aggressive). So it DOESN 'T MATTER if you lose these scriptures of rollback segment.

    Valuation: rear roller followed by roll forward, using redo log files and/or archive redo log files.

  • Loading the transaction number of ICT

    HFM Experts,

    Glad to have some guidance and advice:

    We are implementing the ICT module for our client.  As you can appreciate, there will be a large volumn to loading operations and the only reasonable is to use a TIC workload file. I extracted an example of the file load (to get the layout format).  Now, here's the question...

    I accidentally left out the transaction date for each line item and was able to load the file successfully to HFM. The TIC module doesn't and these transactions do not appear in the screen "manage intercompany." I can confirm that they are in the database as HFM advises that these transactions are there. They re - appear when the same transactions are loaded with the date of the transaction.

    Question: How you can force the HFM to reject the ICT workload without the transaction date file?

    Kindly help please

    Appreciate in advance

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

    We encountered this problem during the test of HFM 11.1.2.3.000 and connected to a dispute in the Support of Oracle. As a result, it has been fixed in HFM 11.1.2.3.100. We are now about to go live with HFM 11.1.2.3.500 and it works. What version are you on?

    EDIT: as a "factory setting" HFM date of transaction is voluntary information so I don't think it's possible to set it mandatory in any easy way.

    See you soon,.
