120W adapter dv6-7014NR?

The HPShopping site lists #aba as an acceptable charger for dv6-7014NR 120w ve025aa.  But when you look at the map page that the series dv6 is not listed.  Sellers told me that the 120w is NOT acceptable on the dv6-7014, but I'm looking for someone on the side of techniques to confirm that.  This laptop has a 1080 display, bluray, discrete videocard and core i7, among other things, and I think that the configuration can in fact be accepable to the adapter 120w.  Can someone confirm please one way or the other?

Thank you.

Just to add, that the size of the adapter can vary depending on the model, a computer laptop dv6-7000 series will not necessarily be the same card of series dv6-6000. Rest assured, your dv6-7014nr will work with a 120 W adapter.

I just put a 840 EVO 250 GB Samsung in a HP Envy m6. Without checking, I am almost sure that your machine supports SATA III, no new laptops will not have that. Even if he has not a SATA SSD will work with SATA or SATA II even I have.

You reason that 2.5 "is what you need. One thing to check is if your machine is really thin it may need a smaller height z. Some readers are 9.5 mm high (especially mechanical) and some are 7 mm. I know that the Samsung drives are 7mm while a former 520 Intel, I bought was 9.5 mm.

As far as I know, there should be no maximum size that would support the laptop. Given that 1 TB is the maximum size of 2.5 "SSD and I don't think that 2 TB will soon happen, you can get any size. The only reason why it would be same as a limit would be something artificial that HP has added as blocks of material that they use.

For ability, it depends on your needs. I have several computers and keep most of my media on USB 3 external drives and the main server that has a lot of disk space. If you plan on using this system and you want to download music, movies and images, you may want to look at 500 GB being the minimum. Hell, if your budget allows, you can enter a 750 GB Samsung SSD EVO for less than $400. While this seems like a lot, keep in mind that you can pass on to your next laptop, a desktop computer, or purchase a chassis and use it as an external USB drive in the future.

  • HP DV6-7014nr wireless card replacement

    Hi all.

I currently have a HP DV6-7014nr with Windows installed 8.1 and parts of stock out of the box.  I noticed that the stock is an internal wireless card is not dual-band.  It is a very large problem with my current situation, in which I can't take advantage of the possible bandwidth to my ordinary place almost as well as if I had installed dual card.  The warranty is already in place, so I am not concerned by the cancellation of the warranty, I just want to know if the card that I'm looking work inside the laptop.  I was going to buy a wireless card Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 HMWWB for my laptop, and I need to know if this card will work correctly with inside my laptop.  Thanks in advance.

Well have the driver on the hard disk or on a key USB available for install after you pass cards. You can't install the driver before the material is present in the computer.

Also, you will probably find that Windows 8.1 has built in the driver of the Intel card.

Otherwise download here for Windows 8.1 Intel driver and he is ready to go:

  • Dv6-7014nr sd card

Maybe you can help me, people. My 4 - month, dv6-7014nr, under Win7 Home Premium on a drive hybrid 750Go, has a bad habit: if I leave it unattended for a period of time, the screen turns off (most likely the screen saver, I get it). If I shake the mouse, I have about 50/50 chance either get my back of the screen or a BLACK SCREEN!

There is one way I found to get back on this BLACK SCREEN: put the laptop to sleep, then back outside tool, connect to any new.

That is this stupid BLACK SCREEN and how to I get rid of him forever? Thank you!

We can mark it as RESOLVED.

In my frustration, I finally called HP Technical Support, dreading the call. But Ann was patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She took me through the steps to remove the driver for the SD card reader... whose Windows 7 immediately replaced by itself. FACT! SD card reader reads SD cards!

  • Replacing the dv6-7014nr autour former hard drive - it'll work?

    Here's my dilemma:

My new dv6 7014nr, customized by the dealer with performance 12 GB of RAM and a disc of hybrid SSD 750Go (best decision I did!), has a bad keyboard: the 'C' button keeps jumping off the power. They offered to replace the laptop.

Problem is, I have sensitive data on my hard drive and I want him to stay here. So, here's the plan:

I'm very comfortable in pulling the hard drive and leave it here. The dealer will build me a dv6-7014nr, 12 GB RAM, SAME performance all the same and ship it to me without a hard drive. I've happily jump in my 'old' hard drive and rock on.

Which will work? Or the new material causes non repairable conflicts?

    Thank you!

Welcome! And thanks for posting your question.

If the machine is, like you say, identical, there should not be any conflicts. In theory, any SATA hard drive should power be removed to any machine and placed in another computer SATA or external drive Bay. The only exception would be if your drive was encrypted. What suite of Windows is installed on the hard drive? (7 or 8? Home Premium or professional?)

  • problem adapter dv6 - 7095ca

So I purchased a DV6 - 7095ca and when I plugged it in, I was told that I needed an adapter stronger. So I took the rear adapter (was a 65w) and they gave me a replacement 90w Hp card. However, I just plugged and got the same message again. Is there a setting I need to change on the laptop? Or should I buy a more powerful adapter yet?

ruruliu is correct. The list of product specification the power supply as being 120w. You will need to get one of these adapters 120w to get rid of the error message. Here a link to the HP parts store where you should be able to buy the piece. I hope this helps!

  • AC adapter dv6-3143sa light always on?

Hi, I recently got a HP dv6, I noticed that the ac power light is always on, even when the laptop is turned off, is this normall? The light turns off only when the power is off.

Sorry just to clarify, the LED next to the power socket adapter stays on even when the computer is off?

If it remains on the AC adapter unplugged there is actually a problem. If the laptop is under tension and the power adapter is connected the led stays on.

I want to get an AC adapter, and I found that the chargere:

PIN Smart Dongle AC adapter 90W KG298AA

    is compatible with the service:

    DV6-2100 Entertainment Notebook PC series

    Best regards

    Aya.

Two things may happen: it is a genuine adapter 120W or mislabelled as a 120W adapter 90W Adapter.

More than likely, it is a 120W adapter.  However, I suspect the damage was done as it would have already been long apparent before three years ago.

If it was the other way, too low on watts, then he probably wouldn't have charged the battery.
