Hi GlenBrettargh,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community.

What happens when you try to save the settings of the tactile mouse of hold?

Do you have an error message when you try to save the settings of the tactile mouse of Wedge?

Have you checked in the Device Manager if there is no error message?

Method 1: steps to go to the Device Manager

1.right - click on the start screen, and then click applications.

2. once the scrolling of screen applications, or drag to the right until you see the topic Windows system .

3. press on or click on Control Panel, located on the Windows system.

Windows 8 will bring up the office and automatically open the control panel.

4. press on or click on mouse and other pointing devices.

Note: If your control panel display is set on large icons or small icons, you will see mouse and other pointing devices . In your case, just type or click on Device Manager and then go to step 6

5. in the mouse and other pointing devices window, click or tap on Device Manager, located under the keyboards.

6. click on the arrow and check if you see an error message/code.

Method 2: Update the latest version of the touch mouse of Wedge drivers.

See the link to download the drivers from the mouse touch of Wedge.

  • The touch mouse settings

When MS will come out with a more precise adjustment of the touch mouse? Specifically setting the sensitivity of touch. Boost rarely picks up the movement, laying my hand on the mouse active options of two fingers with any purpose of me. These two get rather frustrating, one does not work when you want and others work when you don't want it.

It is not MS that controls the touchpad, it is manufacturer of the touchpad that provides the driver for it.  The controls are in the mouse control panel applet.  I am convinced that the touchpad is a mosochistic device created by evil demons.  :-)

A small investment in a real mouse is not a bad idea when you can buy them for as little as $4 these days.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • How can I get my mouse to grab things without having to click on the buttons, if I have the touch mouse on my laptop?

How can I get my mouse to grab things without having to click on the buttons, if I have the touch mouse on my laptop?

You will need to go to the control panel > hardware and sound > mouse and see if the settings for the mouse pad have a function called "Tap-to-click" or something similar in the description.  The exact name of this feature differs depending on the manufacturer of the software for the mouse.

If you do not see this option to be available, you will have to probably go to the support site for the manufacturer of your PC and download the latest drivers for your model computer mouse pad and install.  Once installed, go back to the mouse settings in the Control Panel, where you will most likely available additional settings after the driver installed.  I hope that the "Tap-to-click" function will be available to turn on or off.

If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Premium, you should have a recovery if partition:

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    ------------------------

If the recovery partition is damaged or does not, you can then use the downloaded Home Premium as an alternative.

    Hello

Visit your local computer store, box store/wholesale office supplies store and check out them.
By their very design a tactile mouse should have a quiet click.

    I hope this helps.

  • Sculpt the Touch Mouse: mouse and keyboard not fully functional Center

I bought and installed a Microsoft Sculpt Touch mouse. The Strip in the center of the mouse has three buttons by default assigned to the previous Page, click Middle and Page Down. I installed the mouse and the keyboard Center (v 2.3.188.0) to reassign these buttons but it allows to assign the button in the middle of the band. How can I redirect the other two buttons?

Documentation for the mouse and the keyboard and mouse Center also says that I can assign macros to keys, but the mouse and keyboard Centre does not appear to include these options. How can I assign macros to my mouse keys?

  • Location of the bookmarks on an old hardrive that is not Windows, running but the old hard disk files are accessed through another hard drive.

The old hard disk does not run Windows, so access to the usual file through Windows Explorer or Firefox has not worked for me. The old hard drive is now a slave drive and all files are intact and accessible via the new Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

You have Windows configured to display the hidden files and folders? If not, do it as soon as the first. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=Windows-7

Then, what version of Windows do you have on the old drive? Your profile folder must be on the way there:

    Windows XP and earlier versions:

    \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

    Windows Vista and later:

    \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

If you find multiple profile folders, see the recent order. You find a subfolder named bookmarkbackups. This article describes how to restore the .json files, you will find: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer.

    A little luck?

I still have the download Windows XP UNC file.  Is it possible to convert this program or import this program for recover my settings in Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hi Johncon,

Thanks for posting. There are third-party applications available that can help you with this. Also call 1-800-Microsoft can help because they have a tool as well.

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
