• How to limit the size of the transform tool box?

  I'm working on creating composite images, import of small picture elements that must be positioned, scale, distorted and sometimes inverted to match the lighting of the larger background image source. For example, import a picture of a car in an enlargement of the city - scape.

  Since these elements are quite low compared to the bottom layer, when I convert the layer element into a smart object, and then use the transformation tool, the bounding box is available to match the size of the large image in the background. The control points of the area of transformation, especially in Warp Mode, are often too far apart to be effective in this little piece of fine adjustment.

  Is there a technique I use to limit the processing area to cover simply the object I want to transform? Thank you.

  It doesn't to me with a psd placed in an another psd as a smart object. What file format you place? Do you need to use the dynamic object, it does not really help if you resize the bitmap images (unless you go back from smallest to largest).

• Is there a way to disable the handles that appear when the move tool is selected in Photoshop CC?

  I can see how it may be convenient, but sometimes I work with very small elements and the little square handles block my view. I know that I can just zoom in, but I'd rather have these alleys handles.

  I watch a tutorial on how to make a target in photoshop. I use windows while the guy in the tutorial uses a mac so some shortcuts are the same under windows. Anyway, here's where I'm stuck. First of all, I made a circle with the selection and then inverted and filled Rectangle tool then the layer of white. I then reversed back again. I use the free transform tool and I scale down to make a circle and then fill it with white. I try to repeat the process rather than leave the image as it already is, he is constantly changing the circle that I've already been working, but I want to reduce a new circle, so I can fill that one. I hope thsis is sensible. I was able to do it correctly the first time, but for some reason, I can't produce the same result.

  Make sure that the second circle you make should be on another layer, if the two circles will be on a single layer the reduction will affect the other.

• Empty space that surrounds a layer by using the transform tool

  Hello, I met a strange thing in Photoshop, which is probably start my fault, but I am struggling to find a solution. Basically, I have a layer, and when I want to convert/resize, there, there is always a box with an empty space around him. I tried a lot of things trying to get rid of the box and just being able to select directly around the object in the layer, but not luck.

  That is to say that the layer contained out in regards to the handles.  There is no need to be a single pixel to 1% opacity, and free transform it will include.  The solution is to make a loose selection around the central object > reverse selection > and delete.

• Stuck on site during the transformation tool!

  Help! I'm trying a simple transformation of the content of the layer image, and no matter what I do it is stuck on the hand tool and will not move or the effect of art somehow.

  What is going on? I tried a new file and the same thing. Never had this happen before.

  It seems that you are on the rotation tool to display that is nested with the hand tool. Use the hand tool and see if that solved the problem.

• How to set the slider tool to select the tool when opening acrobat XI 11.0

  I need the tool to default to the Selection tool and NOT the hand tool slider when you open Acrobat XI 11.0

  Once you select the "Select" tool any subsequent launches of the software should keep the 'selection' as default tool.

  If this isn't the case, you can specify the parameter registry here:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11.0\Selection

  Change the data of aDefaultSelect to Select or by hand as requires it.

• CC Illustrator crashes when I click on the transform tool

  Hi, did anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix this? I just started using illustrator CC and realize that when I have the button clcik Transform tool, the program crashes. It shappens even if no document is open.

  Try the following (you may have tried / some of them already) and see if that helps you (the following is a general list of things, you can try when the question is not in a file specific; 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted preferences):

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) to move the folder with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  ((5) browse and try the relevant among the other options (point 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

• Sampling of color using the 'Option' key while the Brush tool is selected (CS6)

  I'm used to 'Option' by clicking on a color, while using the Brush tool, to set the foreground color. In CS6, it updates the color background instead, even though the Panel clearly said 'Info' 'Click to choose the new foreground color' when I hold down the Option key. Which setting I'm missing?

  Manually select the eyedropper tool and click on the option, updates the foreground color. Simply clicking, updates the background color

  Look in the color Panel. The shade with the Untied border shift around it is one that will be changed by Opt/Alt-click when you use the Brush tool. Click on the one you want.

• Photoshop program error when the text tool is selected

  I tried to use the text tool in Photoshop and I am able to select the tool, but as soon as I place the cursor on my document, I get a program error. From there on, I have to force quit the program out. I downloaded an update of safety for my mac yesterday, but since I was not using the text tool in photoshop recently, I'm not sure if that had anything to do with this issue or not. Someone had the same problem?

  -What system, what version of photoshop, the error message says, have you tried using a different font (maybe you have a corrupt font), you reset your tools, delete your preferences, etc.

  Uncheck the box "Show transform controls", which appears when you select the selection tool.

  If you have the tool move on automatic selection, and you begin to drag inside the canvas... It will not work as you expect that it is not selectable area unless the point where you click to start the drag operation (such as a locked layer or transparency)

  I have a bone to pick with the AdobeIllustrator CC race Committee.  Before, I thought I knew everything there was to know about this Panel.  But now, I hit a road block, it seems that no one else in the internet faces.  My question has to do with how the traces of the pen are treated by the race Committee and (I guess) if they are recognized as "smart shapes.

  Here's the problem: normally when I create a path with the pen tool, I can immediately afterwards, select it and transform it using the Panel forms (especially the transformation Panel).  This means that I can choose the width of profiles, create dashed lines, etc.  However, something happened to illustrator between yesterday and today (I don't know what) and now when I create a path with the pen tool and select it, the transformation panel reads: "no available shape properties." Or something between these lines.

  I am currently using Adobe Illustrator CC as I already said, my operating system is Windows 10, and the only thing that has changed in the way that I use work is connect with the intuos pen tablet.  (Not plugged in now, I'll perform an exorcism on her.)

  That's all for now, I don't have screenshots, but once I get off work in 8 hours, I'd be happy to give them.

  If not more specific/bright suggestions appear, you can try the list:

  Sometimes, (some) things may fail or stop working for no apparent reason. When (other) possible reasons/remedies do not work, it is perhaps a kind corruption (temporary or permanent), or even preference settings which disturbs, which can be cured with something on the following list put in place in order to provide a catch-all solution for otherwise intractable cases. It starts with a few easy suggestions and safe) 1 and 2) for cases less serious and goes two ways 3) and 4) to reset the default preferences (easily but irreversibly and more laboriously but more completely and also reversible), then follows a list 5) various other possibilities, and it ends with a complete reinstallation 6). If no other suggestion doesn't work, or if no other suggestion appears, you can start on the list and decide how to go or who can apply.

  The following is a general list of things, try when

  (A) the question is not in a specific file,

  (B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and

  (C) It is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).

  You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted/inconvenient preferences); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

• Any way to disable Navigation (red box) when you use the hand tool?

  I work mainly on page 4: technical data sheets and find it easier to move using the hand tool to jump to another location. I'm embarrassed by the ceaseless appearance of what seems to be a (Heavy Red Box) Navigation frame that appears by pressing the hand tool to select a new location. Is it possible to disable this feature?

  You click and drag IMMEDIATELY to use the hand tool. There is no way to change this behavior.
