The unwanted "major updates" in Windows 7

The update of Windows constantly presents me with 5 important to install updates, 3 of them are for Office 2003 programs that has been uninstalled (I use the 2010 version) and 2 for the 32-bit version of Office when I operate the 64-bit.

Can I deselect each time, but it keeps bringing them upward, so I can't let settle automatically or never, he manages to do it!

I hope you can help

    rivercitylady,
Usually with the code 646 error, if you download the update and install it manually that will fix the problem.
Go to the Microsoft Download Center and search for the number of the update has failed.  Download on your PC, then run it from there. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

    Hi AndraP,

Since these are updates important, even if you hide updates, you may need to install the update at some point.

You can try to perform a clean boot and try to install the stand-alone package containing the updates.

    Step 1:

You can perform a clean boot state.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished with the installation of the update.

    Step 2:

Once you have placed the clean boot the computer, try to install the stand-alone package of updates from the links provided depending on the version of Windows that you are using:

My computer has been downloaded updates to Windows 7 for several hours. He says still 0 Kb Total and full of 0%. I checked the download history and he has a list of downloads that everything has failed. Thus, not installed. What should I do?

    Windows Update process: July 2016

I've seen this many lately.  This is what works for me and I did it on a large number of computers in the last 2 weeks.

    1. Change Windows Update settings to NEVER.

    2. Type services in the text box that appears when you click on the globe to start

    3. Select and open the services window

    4. Find and right-click on Windows Update (service), choose stop

    5. Close the Windows Update window.   If she will not close, start the Task Manager (right click on the taskbar) and end of the task.

    6. Now go to: http://wu.krelay.de/en/2016-07.htm

    7. Download 5 all updates are listed in a folder on your desktop.  Choose the correct column for your computer.

    8. Double-click on and start each one, one at a time.  Don't be surprised if one or more respond with already installed.  It may take a while to process.  This is probably one or more of them will install.

    9. You should not restart after each one ends, if there is more than one installed.

    10. Restart and wait for the Windows Update process to complete and automatically reboot your computer.

    11. Open Manager tasks again and wait until you see the percentage within the reach of the bottom and stay below 10%

    12. Now start Windows Update

The Windows Update process happens much faster that it would otherwise have.

  • Error in the installation of the new iTunes update. Windows 7, 32 bit.

    Hi all

After download and save the last iTunes updated during the installation I received the message "Service"Apple Mobile Service"was able to start. Make sure you have sufficient privileges to start system services"pressing retry, I received the same message. Pressing Cancel, the installation of the canceled update. Ignore pressing them, I got a successful installation message. Then, by double-clicking on the shortcut for the program, I received the message "Itunes is not installed correctly. Please, reinstall ITunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 126).

I followed the whole procedure to uninstall ITunes, update the software Apple, Apple Mobile Device Support, Hello and Apple Application Support.

I restarted my computer. I ran the apdate as administrator and I'm done with the same message that icudt49.dll is missing on my computer.

I received, in addition, the message MSVCR80.dll is missing on my computer.

I went to the Services section and tried to start 'Apple Mobile Service' (it was my first error during installation). I received the error 1053, the service did not open on time.

I tried sfc / scannow without error message. In fact the screen in the command line moved up very quickly.

I visited the Itunes support page with the same results.

I apologize for this very long document.

Any idea to solve this problem? It seems that the update is incorrect. Do you agree?

    Thanks in advance. John Kanellopoulos

It shows very bad programming when Windows cannot recognize even when it is not necessary and simply start a never-ending loop of the installation and uninstallation, without explanation. It of time for Microsoft to show some leadership and is "repair Windows 8" or give him the "heave ho" like Vista. "."

    However, thanks for the information.

The last update of Windows Defender is substantially the same; in other words, it says it must be installed and when it is administered to the "go ahead", he displays an error and wrote its need not.
