The upgrade of CS5 options

I got PS up to CS5. When tried to open upgrade your mounts have changed and do not know, I understand. I'm a hobbyist who uses PS often for scrapbooking and photographic projects personal I don't need all the features of specialty that some professionals might need. So, what are the options I have for the upgrade? Then if I do not update for CS5 will I encounter problems because of this? I now use on a regular Mac Book pro and the Mac Air. Ideas and suggestions?

You can upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom by joining the Plan of photography CC. https://creative.Adobe.com/plans/photography

If you do not upgrade, the system you have now, assuming it works, can continue to work.

CS5 is not coded for the yet-to-be new OS updates. It is these updates in the future that could potentially break some of the Working Group current feature CS5. In a way - update of the OS at the risk of CS5 to stop working in the future.

The current versions of CC 2014 then will support all current operating systems.

    I'm not a programmer, but look at my own files, here's what I think is happening:

    If you copy your shortcut in the folder of the CS5 file, you will lose all the CS5shortcuts that are not included in this one. For example, there is a shortcut to select the Gap tool in CS5, and it isn't in the shortcuts in CS4. So, if you use your shortcuts in CS4, you will lose these keys.

But if you start from a set of shortcuts in CS4, you will lose some of the default settings. Thus, you need to start with a set of shortcuts CS5, and then add or replace your own shortcuts.
