the upgrade of my memory of g6-1306sa

Put Ive updated my laptop 4 GB to8gb memory on my g6-1306sa, its great race but ive noticed hp recommends only a max of 6 GB will this cause of the damage in the long run?

Hello

No idea why they put it on his page. The machine has 2 slots and we cannot find 3 GB RAM parts anywhere. There are 4 and 4 as in a normal configuration. I don't think that it will hurt your machine, no reason for this.

Kind regards.

  • Aspire e1-472p-6860 details on the upgrade of RAM memory

Hello.  I just bought the e1-472p-6860 at Costco and am interested in upgrading the RAM of 4 GB at least 8 GB.  Is this possible?  Worked on many laptops in my career, I don't want to remove the back cover together until I know more.  If I can improve, does anyone know what would be the replacement of chip memory?  I guess that 8 GB DDR3L 1600 MHZ sodimm.  Fine thanks

Yes, you got the type of memory is correct, but I'm afraid you need to remove the back cover to increase the RAM.

  • The upgrade of a memory of VMs.

I received a warning about the virtual machine becomes unstable when I added more memory, are not supposed to add memory to a virtual computer?  I pulled it down until I added.

This is no problem at all. You can basically change of parameters of all virtual machines at any time. For some of the settings you do not even need to turn off the virtual machine (once again, this can depend on the guest operating system).

  • Since the upgrade to Sierra MediaLibraryService is causing a memory leak

    Hello.

I upgraded to Sierra, since as soon as Itunes is launched, the com.apple.medialibraryservice is originally a large memory leak, it keeps in ram more until she takes all (16 GB) and significantly slows down the computer.

I tried to reset the nvram and smc memory, doesn't change anything.

Does anyone have an idea on what is causing this leak and is there a solution?

Yes, I noticed this also. After that I opened iTunes, it's just a matter of time before all the memory gets used up and all departure is wobbly. In particular, bluetooth really gets bug after a certain time, and as soon as I quit iTunes, that's fine.

  • The upgrade for the SR1750NX memory

My old SR1750NX is still up and running (since ' 05!) and I want to squeeze some more memory in it.

    However, here is what I know of research in the past on this computer;

Win XP - The original OS - shouldn't you put in the full 4 gigs of RAM (there are 4 slots for 4 gigs), and I believe that the Web of Compaq site even warns against this.

I currently have 2 GB in there.

I guess this, or you install the memory sticks in PAIRS for this computer?

So, is it good to put in a stick more than 1 single gig,... or could I put in two 512?

Any help appreciated.  I use it for 3D renderings, and it's pretty slow, so any speed I can get is great!

    Hello:

Everything you have written that I agree with.

This is the product for your PC specification page.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00572530

You can see that the upgrade info memory says exactly what I informed you about installation 4 x 1 GB of memory.

No, not all will be available, but it will work without problem.

If you want to install/3 GB, you can install 512 MB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 1 GB more.

You can not install it in the order of 1 GB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 512, or visa versa.

But if you just want to install 4 x 1 GB more memory and remove the 2 x 512 GB which will be just fine.

Personally, I think that you should just add 2 x 1 GB in free slots.

  • Pavilion DV6-2140ED: Pavilion DV6: 10 Windows does not start after the upgrade memory (4 GB-> 8 GB)

After I upgraded the RAM in my HP DV6 from 4 GB to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB Kingston KTA-MB1333 / 4G), Windows no longer starts. I get a blue screen and it keeps restarting.

I think that the memory specifications are similar to the Samsung M471B5673EH1-CH9 original memory: Ghz 1333, non - ecc, 1.5 volts, case latency 9 etc.etc.

    It's a laptop DV6-2140ED HP with a processor Intel i5 - 430 m and Intel mobile chipset HM55.

The bios detects 8 GB and it also passes the check/test of memory. As far as I know that I have also installed the latest bios firmware: F.1D. Reinstall my Windows 10 64 bit does not work either: with 8 GB I also get blue screens, after I try to boot my Windows 10 bootable USB drive.

I read other people having the same problem, but I have not read a solution yet. What can we do about it?

    Hello:

Please see this discussion.  You buy a very specific memory for any HP laptop with Mobile Intel 5 series chipset.

  • Satellite L30 does not start after the upgrade to 2 GB of memory

I bought 2 GB Crucial memory for my L30. After removing the 512 MB module and adding two modules of 1 GB the L30 wouldn't start. With only 1 GB start ok ok, with the other boot only 1 GB.

Either 1 GB modules and module of 512 MB with start ok. The two modules of 1 GB boot not together. Crucial gave up and offered a full refund, but I'd rather have a solution if possible.

At the BIOS level is 2V30, that I understand to be the latest version available.

    Ideas please, John

    Hello

You're right, this problem seems very strange and I wonder why this happens.
Satellite L30 certainly supports the 2 GB of memory and you should be able to upgrade with 2 x 1024Mo modules!

It's strange, but it seems that these two modules are not compatible together
I found Toshiba recommend module on options and accessories site.
DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G) maybe you could try this one...

In any case, I don't think that you will be able to solve this problem in another way. The modules must be replaced.

  • What is the maximum amount of memory in a Pavilion P6020 - Win8 upgrade?

I can't find what the maximum amount of memory can be placed in the Pavilion P6020.

As it is necessary to do a re-install of the operating system supplied with the system (Vista), I would check if it makes sense to improve the Win8-64 bit system and increase memory to 3 GB to 4 or even better of 6 GB.

Currently, the system has 3 GB of memory (1x1GB & 1x2GB), the way in which he indulged.

This configuration really makes the relative system slow lately.

    Peter

    Hi, Peter:

There are several variations of the P6020.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?cc=us & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 228 & sw_lang = & Tool = & query = P6020

I think they all have the same specifications which indicate the maximum memory you can install in the PC is 2 x 2 GB memory (4 GB).

Before you "sign on the dotted line," to buy Windows 8, go ahead and start the download and it will first run an Upgrade Advisor to check your PC and report incompatibilities.

Your PC is more than likely won't be supported by HP with windows 8 drivers. My main concern would be the video card, do not have drivers available.

I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it.  I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!

    Apple says the following:

    General requirements

    • OS X 10.6.8 or later version
    • 2 GB memory
    • 8.8 GB of available storage

For best performance, I would say not less 4 GB and preferably 8 GB or more.

Your i5 is well able to support properly.

    Hello

1 USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 for a laptop is a change that is very expensive because it will affect to the motherboard to change USB card and even the motherboard itself.

2 RAM: Yes, you can jump to 8 GB of RAM:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02575528

Please use Crucial tool, it will scan your machine and tell you RAM adapted. You can buy here or use the information to buy elsewhere:

3 SSD: Your current HARD drive is very good. If you want to upgrade to an SSD, you can go to her but interms performance/price, that's a little overkilled.

  • Questions about the upgrade memory for gateway P55C-200

It comes from an old computer from 1997. I'm trying to update and upgrade for the treatment of text and with older games who have worked on it, even if a bit slower that I liked. MDK is a favorite. I add that a little more RAM will help. It has windows 95 on it. He is currently in good working condition. I have a perfectly good printer and a scanner that I can't use it on my other computers with operating systems newer, but which works well on this one. The computer has a card? IRE 32meg with a spare slot, CPU Pentium 200 HZ and a 4G IDE hard drive.

What type of card m? IRE this computer accepts it and how can I add? The existing memory card has no info about it. I visited the manufacturing sites of memory several, and they come in white for this computer only. I think maybe it's SDRAM PC66, but I don't know. Any information would be appreciated.

I just ordered two 128 meg sticks, clock 4, CL3, PC66. Who will be my max at the limit of my system to 256 meg. I still don't know whether or not the card memory factory was PC66, as there was no label on it, and my manual is non-specific, because it covers a group of computers that use the same series of motherboard. The seller did some research and said the Board recommended will work for me. He gave me a link http://panam.gateway.com/s/motherbd/intel/m00260/m0026023.shtml that my Board is covered by the listed series. I guess in a week or so I'll know. Thank you all for your help.

Yes, you can install 4 GB of memory (maximum is 2 x 2 GB memory PC2-6400).

If you have a 2 GB chip in your PC, simply add another.

It is the memory that I use:

You can move to the 64 bit OS now because the specifications of your PC it comes with 2 GB of memory, but it will work better with 4 GB of memory.
