  (4) then, I opened the picture of the blue sky and named the sky of the layer.

  (5) then I went to windows, arrange, 2 vertical space to get two images on the screen.

  (6) using the move tool and I spend clicking to align the image of duck in the center of the image of the sky.

  (7) next I layer sky move towards the top of the layers stack.

  (8) then I loaded my selection of the duck.

  (9) next I clicked on add a layer at the bottom of the Panel.

  (10) I then painted with a black brush to reveal the duck under sky.

  Everything seems to work well, but rather than get a picture showing just theduct across the sky, it appeared that the selection has been

  no work and he selected the entire image with duck and its background.

  Can you plase advice why and how can I fix my proceadure to get the correct result?

  I have one of my exercises of the trial correct or I am just barking the wrong tree and missunderstood how masks!

  You have a lot of steps here: some useless, some confused. I suggest you just starting from scratch.

  Bring up the image of the sky. Evoke the image of a duck and drag on the image of the sky as shown below.

  Select the duck and with the mobile dotted lines showing, click on the symbol of the mask at the bottom of the layers panel.

  This is due to the extension of the masking Agent, sending deliberately incorrect sites on the browser you use. I don't know if the extension allows you to make an exception for youtube.com and ytimg.com in order to work around the problem. If this isn't the case, you may need to disable the extension.

  You can manage on the page extension modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then find Agent masking and check for that option button. This is also where you would turn it off.

  (Often a link appears above an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click on the last step.)

  As far as I know, your default search engine is invisible to Web sites, so this probably isn't a problem. Or do you want to make a change here? This article has the steps: use the Firefox search bar.

  Make sure that the flow is set to 100% as well. Also, make sure that you paint with true black: R - 0, G-0, B-0 and not 100% K in CMYK.

• Need help with the use of masks

  I tried to use the quick selection tool to select areas of a photo in an adjustment layer, but it is not put at the disposal of the adjustment. The selection is done on the photo, but not in the adjustment layer box, as the selection brush only. I find that the selection brush is rather hard to use that you can't see exactly what you select as it only indicates in the layer box not on the photo itself.

  I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but I'm not.

  It would be really useful to be able to use the quick selection tool, or one of the other selection tools to isolate parts of images for extra work, or to keep separate work on the rest of the image.

  You must select the box before making the adjustment layer, on the one hand. To change the area of the layer afterwards, you paint according to the instructions in Chapter 10. Selections have no effect on an existing adjustment layer.

  First of all, it is easier in After Effects. That said...

  Possible? Yes. The use of masks.

  Create masks? This can be difficult.

  If the person stands out from the background in a way that you can create a mask based on a combination of the cache of transparency and the luminance values, you might be able to use the levels to create a forground black and white background or vice versa. Then use it as matte.

  But it's not easy, and most video is not out in a way that will work for you.

  Most of the people like rotoscoping the person away from the background, image by image. A very time consuming process.

  Depending on what you really want to do, you may be able to apply a collection of masks and feather them so that they cover the person enough in General, covering about.

  Instead of using the date picker, showing only HH24 and reduction in size of the datepicker, why do you not use timepicker plug-ins that would be easier to use.

  Turning off graphics acceleration. Go to preferences-> Performance tab and uncheck the box there.

  As Lina said, v9.1 FP4 included improved functionality of mask.

  Another option is to key in Cmd + Opt + shift + E to make an image composite without losing the different layers. Then create the fade on the composite. If you find later that one of your silhouettes should work, just delete (or click the eye off) the composite layer, twist the layer needed and enter Cmd + Opt + shift + E again for a composite revised...

• Case 'not the same subnet mask' - WRT54GL

  I recently bought a WRT54GL router and tried to feed it with data from my ISP.

  I entered these data to my Windows system as well as my older router and it worked fine.

  These are:

  IP: 213.211.57.xx

  Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  Gateway: 213.211.56.1

  However, I get the error "not the same subnet mask" described here .

  If I run "ipconfig/all" to the machine which can be used to connect to the net, I don't get any additional useful info that I described here, (he is also in Czech :-)

  And there is no obvious conclusion in this forum thread.

  Any suggestions?
