  I tried to check my plugin and all are enabled. I found here where it was suggested to delete and reinstall Firefox, but that did not fix problem either. I tried to change the Viewer for video, but still no luck. Not sure why Quicktime does not work. Note that when browsing videos will not open, but everything else works fine.   Suddenly unable to display any video on Firefox. Can see on other browsers. No idea on the extensions or plugins.

  You can check for problems caused by a recent upgrade from Flash 11.3 and possibly upgraded to Flash 11.2 or 10.3 or off protected 11.3 Flash mode.

• Made the switch from the Firefox chrome; now, meeting places and a few videos does not work

  Salvation; I'm wanting to get away from chrome, but in firefox, I can't get the 'hangouts' working in gmail, even if I do not have the googletalkplugin installed on my pc. Another issue I see is that, on some pages, video does not work; in the latest version of chrome, I understand that the flash thing has changed and I guess that firefox has not changed in the same way. I hesitated when downloading a plugin, as shown on the screenshot for fear that it will mess up video in chrome, I would use chrome. I would rather not switch back from firefox to chrome to phone or watch the video. Help, please.

  I asked for help on the hangouts thing before, but your suggestion 'install plugin' was not enough, so I request further assistance on this now. on the video thing, please just tell if I should download the plugin and whether or not it will affect the reading in chrome. Thank you

  Working! I had the talk plugin set to always turn on but I had disabled the video because I only use the phone, but apparently, they both need to be addressed to always activate... Please mark this as resolved and thank you!

  From one day to the next video (youtube, Vimeo, etc) stopped not working in Firefox. I checked my plugins/addons and discovered the plugin Adobe "primetime content decryption module" which I had not noticed previously had been installed. I've disabled the plugin and found that the video playback was still functional.

  I realize the Primetime plugin is intended to facilitate playback of certain content (DRM), which would not otherwise play with Silverlight/Flash plugins, but unless that I turn it off it's actually prevents me from normal video content playback.

  As this is a Firefox/Adobe plugin suggested I prefer it to work as expected rather than disable/remove it.

  A quick update to my problem noted above (maybe I should try this first)

  I ACTIVATED the plugin once more see if it would cause video playback yet, but everything seems to be ok now (IE, Primetime plugin is activated and all videos play normally)

  Will report if the problem arises again

  I use Firefox with 4 profiles. One of them had problem work mp4. When I opened http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4 mp4 it says "Video cannot be played because the file is corrupted.".

  After I compared the two profiles prefs.js files, I saw that "media - media.windows - foundation.enabled" was false. I opened Subject: config and reset "media.windows - media - foundation.enabled. After restarting Firefox http://www.quirksmode.org/html5/videos/big_buck_bunny.mp4 works perfectly.

• Youtube videos do not work.

  Some of the YouTube videos (not all) do not work for me. videos currently does not work, it's just an empty space.

  I have Firefox 16.0.2
  I also have Flash 11.4 (was 11.3 and both did not work well)
  I also get off at 10.2 and it did not help ether.
  I also turn Firefox mode safe mode with all Addons/Extensions disabled and did not help also.
  I also installed the latest version of Realplayer.
  I tried to turn on/off Hardware Accelerator.

  I just tried to reset to factory settings Firefox, and that did NOT solve the problem.

  All the videos that don't work on Firefox work on IE9 on the same PC at the same time without problems.

  The fact that you get mixed results is a little confusing. Are you using the trial of YouTube HTML5? If so, maybe HTML5 videos work but Flash videos do not work.

I understand that you're having trouble playing videos on your iPhone from your post, 6; videos from several sources (Netflix, your own library, etc.) will show the subtitles, but you do not see the real picture.   I have some troubleshooting I can offer to you. Before you begin, create a backup of your iPhone using iCloud or iTunes, following the instructions here: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  Once you have your backup, try the following steps, in order. A video test after each step and will stop when the problem is resolved.

  1. Restart your iPhone by following the instructions here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
  2. If this happens on a Wi - Fi connection, try restarting the network you are using from the router or the modem (if possible). If it is a private (for example, your home network) WiFi network, try to remove all the devices on the network, then by simply adding your iPhone.
  3. Try a different network (including your cellular data network).
  4. Reset the network settings on your iPhone in settings > general > reset > reset network settings. This will affect all personal data (like your photos, contacts, calendar of events, etc.) but it will remove saved passwords, and Wi - Fi networks one previously used settings APN or VPN and all paired Bluetooth device.

     Once the restore is complete, configure the iPhone as a new device (i.e. without using the backup that you created earlier, at least temporarily). You can sign in iCloud, iTunes and App Store, iMessage and FaceTime with your Apple ID test then a video.

     If the problem is resolved, you can restore your backup by the information here: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

  The last review of the user of this extension mentions that he does not work in Firefox 35.   On Linux Adobe ceased support Flash for Firefox.
  There is only security update of Flash 11.2 available.
  If web pages requires a newer version of Flash then they will not work with Firefox and you would have to use Google Chrome.

  Did you check if the player has a volume slider?

  You can see the issues with cookies and 'Delete the Cookies' from sites causing problems:
