The Windows error log team cold call?

I was contacted by a "team of Windows error" trying to fix errors on my computer. Will it be authentic?

These scam calls are usually of a person representing Windows rather than Microsoft, but in any case, the call was nothing else than a phishing attempt! Do not give any information. Not to follow their instructions or advice and not to provide ANY information to them.

Because they use the internet lines and/or phone to complete their fraud, there may be federal agencies in your country who are interested in discovering their calls. Their report directly to the appropriate agency if you feel you can contribute to their arrest and the charges.

Microsoft do NOT pick up the phone and start dialing customers and never phones/e-mails asking for personal information or asking them to visit a web site! Please do not take into account these calls and hang up immediately.

Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently

    I suggest running Disk Cleanup and selecting Remove all the Windows Error Reporting log files by selecting the checkbox and then click OK:

  • Vista 64 Windows - stuck in the windows error recovery loop. don't go to safe mode, does not recognize the recovery disc.

    If this does not work, then try F2 to enter the BIOS.

    Either yourself or a store should remove the HDD and it slave in a system that works to see if the data can be recovered from him. The error message indicates a corrupt installation volume rarely, this can be fixed without deletion and recreation of the volume (and doing so will lose all data currently on the disk).     Whenever I try to check for solutions in the Windows 7 Action Center, I get the following error message: problem connecting to the Windows error reporting service. Some of the reports can not be uploaded to the Windows error reporting service. Please try again later.

    This problem began to appear a few days ago, even if I did not any changes to my computer. I do not have any firewall (with the exception of the default Windows Firewall) and all my other programs work very well on the Internet.

    Any ideas what could cause the problem?

    I actually had to purge all existing reports by using the disk cleanup utility.

    Log Insight is able to ingest a Windows Server logs in the Windows event log format?  Or do I have the event logs Windows can be converted to syslog so that Insight Log to treat them?

    Or - the Windows Event Viewer is not really a format - it's more of a database. LI ingests events event viewer, but it does not convert in syslog. The result is similar to what you see on WIndows - see attachment.

  • Get the 1097 error when trying to call a Labview DLL

    I had to write a wrapper DLL to use some functions in the DLL to a third party, and I'm having a few problems. I created an executable to test my code and it works fine, but when I try to execute the same function in the DLL that I created in Labview, I get error 1097. I read through most of the posts on this forum about this issue, but none of the proposed solutions are working for me. I'm sure this isn't a question of transfer settings to COLD LAKE because I changed the function so it only accepts a single entry (a number he obtains from a Subvi, which came from the third-party DLL, this entry is working with a bunch of other functions, so I don't think that is the question).

    I have attached the C code that creates the wrapper, but I don't know how it is useful without familiarity with the functions of the original DLL. I hope that someone can spot something basic I am out of my code, but please let me know if I need to call something else.

    I use a Labview 32 bit version 2012 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

    You should read the documentation on LoadLibrary() and understand. Essentially if you provide a full path to LoadLibrary() the DLL MUST be present at this place so that LoadLibrary() will succeed. If you pass only the name Windows DLL will ONLY search in these places:

    (1) if the module (the DLL) is already loaded it will return a handle to the loaded module and increment its reference count

    (2) if the referencing module contains a manifest (either incorporated into the image module or in a separate manifest file in the same directory as the executablemodule) specyfying a version number for this DLL will load this DLL with this version of the SxS (side by side) location and failure if it is not present

    (3) if the executable load contains a manifest (either incorporated in the executable file or in a separate manifest file in the same directory as the executable file) number specyfying a version for this DLL, it will load this DLL with this version of the location of SxS (side by side) and fail if it is not present

    (4) it will search for the DLL in the same directory as the directory where the current image of the process is loaded. It is NOT the directory of the DLL loading the DLL, BUT the directory where the EXE file from which the process was created.

    (5) in the system directory

    (6) in the Windows directory

    (7) any directory in the PATH environment variable

    (8) the path of current directory which is a location managed by windows by process and changed the two explicitedly when the application calls the API SetCurrentDirectory() but also implicitedly by things like the file selection dialog whenever it is rejected by other means than the undo operation.

    Essentially putting your dependend DLL in the same directory as the wrapper DLL does NOT work when you use the name of the DLL only UNLESS you place the two DLLs in the same directory as your executable file. If you don't want this restriction and want to be able to move these modules together in different directories, you don't have to create the correct path in your wrapper to LoadLibrary(). Basically, you must have the code to determine the location of your DLL wrapper path and then strip her own name and add the DLL name wrapped in it and then move to the LoadLibrary().

    There are several ways to determine the path of the current module. The simplest if you don't mind having the name hard-coded in your code DLL would be to ask GetModuleFileName (GetModuleHandle ("yourDLLname"), buffer, size).

    When I present reports of error and asks me to send additional information, I get the above error. I have read and tried all the solutions already asked for this problem except for the removal of error reports (because if I do that, how could they be downloaded for analysis?)

    Just to confirm, I have:
    Restarted with a clean Windows with only Microsoft services running and no boot entry and retried the upload.
    A ran the SFC system without any problems.
    Insured to the logs and alerts are allowed through the firewall and temporarily disabled my virus scanner traffic analysis

    The persistent questions seem to be Google Reader goes down, and several accidents related to my AMD video driver.

    Did you do any change in software of hardware on the computer before this problem?

    You can read the following steps and check if it works.

    Method 1:

    Check if error reporting is enabled.

    For do I suggest you check if error reporting service Windows has stopped working. Try to start the service by following the steps below:

    a. click Start> type of search in the servicesbox, press enter > find windows error reporting service in the list of the list of services > right click , and then click Start.

    (b) also to run the service as Auto, please follow the steps below.

    c. right-click on the service from the list of windows error reporting services and then click Properties > there will be a pop-up screen > check for startup type and select Automatic under drop down menu and apply the settings.

    Note:

    The purge will remove the existing report but if the problem reappears to collect the reports again and you will be able to move forward with the process of reporting errors.

    Purge all existing reports by using the disk cleanup utility, and then see if you can send information to the server of problem reports.

    Whenever I connect to my PC I get a Windows error message saying that the Sonic Solutions DLA driver is blocked due to compatibility issues.  Apparently, it's an error message associated with Roxio Easy Media Creator.  This program, I uninstalled it from my PC.  I went to the Roxio website and tried to solve the problem by using the patch and the instructions to get rid of this error message.  I even went and looked for the name of the file removed manually from my PC.  And I still get this error message all that I connect my PC.  It drives me crazy.  Is there a way to remove this message from my PC?  Any help and assistance would be appreciated.

    I use Windows Vista Home Premium on my PC.

  • Windows 7 computer all of the time, among the freezing error logs.

    When trying to install the update to windows security get message cannot install.  code 0x80070005

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. update you are trying to install on the computer?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    The error message 0 x 80070005 is an access denied message.

    Make sure you have logged in as an administrator and try again to install updates.

    View update history to know which update is not installing.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click view update history.

    (c) to view more information about an update, double-click it.

    Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the box search, download and install the update manually, check to see if it works.

    I'm not sure how it works 100%, but I am pretty sure is that these Exceptions in EventHandlers are intercepted by JavaFX itself inside the thread of JavaFX. They must, because if they let the exception to the top bubble, the thread of FX would end (and with it, any response in the user interface). It's probably taken at the level where the events are fired somewhere (my guess is within the QuantumToolKit).

    Anyway, these exceptions are printed to System.err - if you can redirect the flow to a log file or you can have them all in one place. The error stream can be defined in your application simply by calling System.setErr ().

    Note also that exceptions that occur in a task are stored in the exception property - sometimes, they can be difficult to find because they are put there in silence - you'll need to check your tasks for exceptions and print them.

    -Where you download Windows Installer from?

    Possible causes of this error are:

    -The file is corrupt, missing, or bad.

    -The file is not designed for your version of Windows.

    If the file or program you are trying to run is damaged or missing, Windows will be unable to run the file correctly and generates this error message. Re-download the file install the same.
