  Okay so I recently bought a blackberry 9800 torch of my friend, its not in poor condition but it has a few scratches on it. the phone also worked well for her.

  This morning, installed an app to rename my files of music, called MTagz or something like that

  Regarding your question as stated, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   Maybe I'm a little confused, but I can't restore the old behaviour of my home screen, namely the functionality of the tab.

  More explicitly, in the past, when I hit the "blue band" in the top middle of the screen, it would switch between views with all applications displayed and a view with a tab "reduced" displays only one row of icons.

  Now, when I do this manipulation, I get the home screen with all the apps either a blank screen or empty (just with the image of the desktop) - which means no icon line at all!

  I'm getting just old or have I missed something?

  In other words, is it possible to restore this toggle the display between "full screen" and 'a line' display instead of just completely disappear from the screen?

  Needless to say that I've explored the options screen, has done a battery pull and searched the Internet but I have not found an answer to this 'problem '.

  When you are in the home "in white" screen, you should see a small arrow ^ at the bottom, Center. Using your finger, you can drag upward to display lines 1, 2 or 3 icons. This isn't a problem, it's the built-in functionality. ~ ecm

  I've unlocked my device on a previous network and now use it on another. However, every time I start and turn off the device the old network logo and splash screen are on the screen.

  The 'stock' of flash start screen IS the initial seller. You cannot change this, it is hardcoded for the firmware of the device. No upgrade of the OS to OS another carrier will change that.

  Just ignore it. This is no big deal and is considered only for a few seconds each time you turn on. Personally, I have never even turn off my BlackBerry. I perform a battery pull reboot every two days and see this screen, rarely noticed.

  Each blackberry screen is specified for a model with a serial code for all blackberry devices.

• Screen blackBerry Smartphones BB Torch 9800 freeze

  My mother and I have upgraded to a BB Torch 9800 about 10 hours ago from Wal-Mart and so far the screen froze on me six times, and the only way I can understand how to solve this problem is to give the phone a hard reset.

  What is happening is that we are in the middle of something, as the alarm setting or by choosing a wallpaper, and the device cannot return to the previous screen, or exit from this screen at all. We can change the parameters of the task that we do, but we can not save or return. The keys are block.

  OK, this sounds like faulty software in this case.  It is possible to reload the operating system if you want to try it, but if you would rather simply exchange for another, I could definitely see that as well.

  I just got a new unlocked AT & T PRIVATE today on Amazon, and the screen makes a rattling noise when they are hit.  On the web, there are a lot of people reporting a similar issue, suggesting turn the phone to try to fix it.  This has not worked for me.

  Is it just a matter of getting a bad or a phone that has not been produced recently? Or PRIVs all will have this problem, even if they are not immediately, because of poor design or manufacturing?

  Am I the only one having dirt/dust accumulate on my screen.  It started as one or two particles little, but now, there are at least 30 or 40.  It's very embarrassing when you watch videos or you to browse.

  Hey, there.  Had the same problem with mine on my first storm after only six weeks.  Resume and get a replacement/new storm.  There is no way to fix it and it will only get worse.  Transfer your data and settings of the new storm is easy with the switch device Wizard in the Desktop Manager software.  If you are beyond your grace period of 30 days to return it and get a new storm, don't be afraid of the refurbished replacement.  It works as a 'new', but it does not come in the fancy packaging.  Oh, and it will not come with a battery.  No big deal, except that it makes the transfer process a little longer.  You will need back up all the data and settings from your old storm, take out the battery, put in a new, wait as it starts, then connect the Storm replacement to your PC.

  From your home screen, go to your Messages folder.  Press the menu button, and then select the display folder.  Two likely candidates to look at would be browser Messages and WAP Push, even if it might be in other folders as well.  See if you can find it in these cases.

  This Council has worked for some and did not work for others.  This icon seems to be quite evasive as to its origin.  It's probably a third-party application by pushing the message on your phone, but nobody seems to be able to identify it.

I use the "Phone lock" key but when ever part of my hand touch the screen turns on and remains on until fade out. so I was wondering if there was a way to make the telephone only answer by pressing the lock again button? and if not dose one know all third party apps that will do that?   to be fair, there also a very old version of the firmware, not sure how up-to-date is your operator. with a more recent firmware, you are likely to find better battery life anyway more since I've updated fom.141 (already more recent thanyours) the device is much faster too.

  I live in a bad reception area and even though I'm a light user I get 4 sometimes 5 days standby. Its the best Ive had, by "BOLD" lasted 2-3 days in the same conditions. A Nokia N80 maxing out at 2 days as a P990i Sony did...
