ThinkPad tablet charging 2 or power problem

I was on vacation without my Tablet for several weeks, and since I came back, I was unable to turn on the tablet. I assumed that the battery had drained while I was away and plugged in, but there is no indication that he is in charge. When I push the power button, the Green led blinks 1-3 times, but it does not turn on the tablet. By pushing the reset button does nothing.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

Make sure that you use the charger in stock, I couldn't get the initial charge with something else

The problem occurs only once I have start the load the laptop after that I used the battery for either a small or for a long period of time.

The battery will begin to charge and the laptop runs from the power supply for 5 minutes at a time. After that 5 minutes, the laptop switches the power source primary battery mode, even if the laptop is plugged.

Another 5 minutes after that, the primary energy source to switch back and the battery will begin charging again. It will constantly continue to do that, even when the laptop is turned off.

This is asif that is defective, however, is the second adapter I used and the same thing happens again. I tried looking in the power settings as much as possible and can't seem to find anything that can cause this problem.

Just today, I noticed that the battery light flashes sometimes white when the laptop has its power as the main primary energy source. I don't know if this has anything to do with this problem. I looked through the manual and support documents as possible and impossible to find a solution to this problem.

If the battery is low, when I start the laptop loading, that means I have to stop using my laptop, that this process will continue to arrive and finally the battery will stop and the laptop will be extended even if the plug is connected.

    Help, please!

    Hello

A friend of mine had a similar problem but on non-Toshiba laptop. The reasons because it is a dysfunction of the taken power there was a loose contact between the socket and the motherboard

The technician said that the motherboard needs to be replaced because it would be too difficult to solder this Jack once again

If the mobo was replaced, but it was a costly affair

Don't know if this could be the case even, but this looks a bit like the issue of power supply...

  • Issue of ThinkPad tablet 2 Factory Reset reinstall Windows

Please help me. I have problems to reinstalling windows on my thinkpad Tablet 2. I have a long enough thread explaining my problem here, http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/lenovo-ibm/62633-thinkpad-tablet-2-factory-reset-reinstall-windows.h... if someone could help me I would be very grateful. I'll copy and paste the thread here, if I have to, but it's just easier to copy the link.

    Fastest salvation,

I had similar problems to you with a number of our TPT2s. They are really picky when it comes to boot from an external support. Here's how I got mine to (possibly) regularly start on external media. However, one thing to note is that, in order to recover Windows 8 on it, you're either going to need disk recovery Lenovo or an installation of Windows 8 of your own disc. I have no idea if the drivers listed on the Lenovo site will work with anything as old as XP, although I remember some Windows 7 see so if you have a Win7 disc you might try that.

    1. disable the Secure Boot UEFI in the BIOS. [BIOS |] SECURITY | SECURE BOOT | [* Change the secure startup flag ' disabled]

2 get some kind of separator/hub USB so that you can plug your external DVD drive with a keyboard (Microsoft still require you to "push any key to boot from CD" and touch the screen does not count).

    3. with the drive and the keyboard is connected, set the boot order in the BIOS so that the CD/DVD drive is the first boot option. I also push the Windows boot manager at the bottom of the list if it is there. Do, but I'm a superstitious Guy and save the changes.

    4. as long as the DVD drive has adequate power (need an external power supply. He cannot draw enough power from the USB port of the tablet to run) and you have a Windows disc 8/7 in the drive, you should now receive the message "press any key to boot from the CD-ROM. Press a button and it should... Finally... it takes much longer than any normal device... starting in the installation menu.

Each step of this lasts longer than you expect. For example, it takes an age for the message "Press any key" is displayed. It just sits there with a black screen and the DVD blowing away.

That's how I got mine to work in any case, best of second chance.

  • 1 BATTERY ThinkPad Tablet

As the title suggests, I think that I need a replacement battery for my Thinkpad Tablet 1838.

I went for 3 months and came home to a dead tablet. It does not take a charge, used to power over everything.

    Replace the battery an option?

    Thank you in advance!

I suggest that you call Lenovo support and ask if they propose replacing the battery and if so how much they charge.

Be sure to tell them why you think the battery is dead. Although it is unlikely, perhaps they can offer a way to revive.

  • Recommended solution for Thinkpad Tablet and VGA projectors?

I ordered a Thinkpad Tablet hoping to use it for a teaching tool, but I face a common problem: most classrooms (and indeed, most conference rooms for business) are projectors VGA.

I know there are a variety of converters HDMI / VGA (using Active electronic components, of course), but I was wondering if Lenovo recommends a solution or if anyone has first-hand experience (perhaps with the Ideapad tablet, or perhaps with a review of the Thinkpad Tablet model) connect to a VGA projector.

An extra (a little more specific question), it's the mini-HDMI output provides power to work something like the HP-HDMI-VGA connector. If not, are there drivers to support a USB output device / VGA (which are available for Windows, but uncommon on Android).

Thanks in advance for comments or suggestions!

The HP adapter works without external power supply with a warning: the output resolution is the native resolution of the Tablet, which seems to cause distortions on 4:3 monitors and slight overscan issues at least a part is watching 16:9. For my purposes (conferences mathy things), it seems it will work fine, although I will take a piece of chalk tomorrow just in case.

  • Satellite Pro L20: battery not charge when the power adapter is connected

    Hello

    all advice appreciated.

I had a Satellite Pro L20 for about 18 months. Recently, battery does not charge when the power adapter is connected. The battery light starts yellow (which means more liberated, I think?), then will both green, the machine sat for awhile. However the ACPI often said that AC is "offline."

There are two recent occurrences that coincide with this problem, I try to eliminate:

    1. my friends rat chewed by the feeder for pets! Power is Mobile OK insofar as he fled sector - the rat seems to have simply chewed by the outer cover (I see some threads, but I think that is just a shield, although I'm not an electrician).

    2. I put the laptop in hibernation for the first time. That seemed to mess up the system a bit, which was what initially drew my attention to the problem. This question is a bit complicated because I'm under Linux (Xubuntu).

I updated the drivers etc from windows when I bought the laptop. Never had any problems until now and have been running linux for centuries. Also, I have mainly the laptop the power supply turned off, but do not remove the battery (is that really a problem these days?)

I obviously need to replace the adapter, but is - it is likely (and how I can check) that the battery was borked until?

    see you soon
    Chris

First, please check if the other are lit.
If the AC led and power led are on the adapter sector is ok and it provides the power to the laptop.

    > The battery light starts yellow (which means more liberated, I think?), then will both green, the machine sat for awhile
If the battery LED is yellow, this means that the battery is not fully charged and if the Green led changes then recharging is caught and the battery has been recharged.

So I really don t see any problems with the charge process.

Maybe the battery is old and so you cannot use it for an extended in such a case only the replacement of the battery could help.

  • On the Satellite P30-131 power problem

I have a power problem and I tried the process of elimination, but could do with help, I gave as much detail as possible and appreciate any help or advice.

This started a few weeks ago and seems to be deteriorating slowly.
I turned on the laptop and all 3 lights before the main power on fully charged battery light and light green...

I started noticing a few times when my power cord is plugged into the laptop that, without warning, the laptop switches to the battery power and also turns off power light, battery light turns off too but which may or may not happen, in any case the laptop is still on but now running on battery.

I then out of the supply cable and reconnected it hoping that power is restored, but it has no effect, I have to close then low laptop unplug then Pug back in and I get all 3 lights and then I can start.
Now, when I boot it does not always solve the problem and I can finish on a few seconds of starting battery.

Its certainly not the battery because it has a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

The reason I think it is perhaps one of them is when the laptop going to battery, lead that is always plugged into laptop, I moved, and this can cause the return of t lights and also the laptop back in, power once again, but if I let go then it goes to the battery again one the light turns off. I also took the battery out and kicked and the laptop works but has lost the power sometimes when I moved it turned off my tour so I'm sure that it is related to the lead, but do not know if its internal or external.

    Any help or advice appreciated

    Thank you

What kind of help did you expect exactly?

    > Its certainly not the battery as it was a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

It seems you have tested everything that could be tested using common control procedures, I think that more is not possible
I can provide also a few suggestions and I m coming to the conclusion that neither electronic power supply is not ok or your power adapter.
But I would tend to the first; electronic power supply.

As you can see that these are only suggestions

  • Satellite L300 - battery not charging but the power is to reach to the motherboard

    Hello

I gave up the laptop and after that not get battery. Laptop works fine with battery only. I opened the laptop to find if it is something dislodged. But everything was fine. I checked the power comes up to the motherboard. But do not charge the battery.

For more information, I opened only Panel keyboard and down to reach the power supply cord. I can see the top section of the motherboard page where I checked that power is reached.

    Any body can help?

    Thank you.

    Abir

    > Can any body help?

I think that the material must be scanned for potential problems.
I can only speculate on the defective parts
It could be the power problem or something is broken on the motherboard, but its most of the time impossible to say what's wrong here
So get in touch with a local Toshiba authorized service guy to check this.

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2 BIOS: I can't change the list of boot devices. Help, please!

    Hello community,

I need to restore Windows on my ThinkPad Tablet 2 via USB. But I can't change the list of boot devices in BIOS. The F12 option is not available. It is said: "F12 key is used to call a pop-up the boot devices list. This option is available only when supervisor enters setup. »

    What can I do?

    Kind regards

    The problem is solved!

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2

Lenovo ThinkPad tablet 2 does support Linux? Fedora running on it would be cool.

It should because it's x 86 platform. There are mixed reports as the graphics chip, I believe that atoms in TPT2 have VR graphics, not the intels so support driver so that it is not very good.

Screen touch supprt improved lately too so it shouldn't present a big problem.

I'd go with something lighter than fedora.

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2 set button pen

Hey all, I have ThinkPad Tablet 2 with the Wacom digitizer and an active stylus. The stylus a button on the side which the manual says is for screenshot. I would like to configure this button to be identical to a right mouse click on the button (I'm not a fan of the tap water then hold list drop-down functionality of the right mouse button trigger). To make this I:

    -Search 'calibrate' in Win10

-went to "calibrate the screen for pen or press ENTER.

-On the dialog box opened, I clicked on the tab 'other '.

-J' clicked on the link "Go to Pen and Touch" under "configure your pen and tap Settings in pen and touch.

-An open windows error dialog box that says:

"Tablet and pen settings is not available. For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your tablet PC. (error = 0). »

So here I am and here are my questions: why these settings are not available? Is there another way to configure the associated stylus button action? Thank you!

Problem solved. I uninstalled Windows 10 and reinstalled and the pen settings are now available and more screen auto-rotation, now working as well. I find this strange because I makes no other changes to the Tablet and I was running any other software before, during and after my first upgrade of Windows 10. I guess an update has been published or there was a quirk in my initial upgrade of Win10. In any case, all's well that ends well

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2 random Crash of the common OS.

    Nice day.

    I have a new Thinkpad Tablet 2 with windows, Non-cryptage, 32 gig.

I have only one question, random os crash so far.

It happens anywhere, usually once a day.

While it is plugged in or on battery, or offline.

It happens on different application, desktop, browser, email, to the login screen.

The only thing that seems to be constant memory, is that it occurs when the on-screen keyboard appears.

All updates are done, I do it manually to keep track of it and ensure that it is done correctly.

I love this product, I do not understand this bug are expected on new devices.

Whenever it happens, I'll post in detail. I am in the island this will help Lenovo is the problem earlier.

Any ideas on how to solve this or if any information that someone thinks that it might be useful to find the problem, please let me know.

  • ThinkPad Tablet 2 - error 2201: UUID of the Machine is not valid

I just unboxed my "nine" Thinkpad Tablet 2 and got an Error Message 2201: UUID of the Machine is not valid.

Network card, sound card, USB camera don't work at all. They said that I have not installed drivers for these devices. Because I can not connect to the Tablet, I'm unable to install a driver for them.

Can someone guide me to solve this problem?

    TKS you all!

Yes, you will need to send the machine back for the service.

  • Availability of recovery for ThinkPad Tablet A310 or update.zip?

Is there a way to completely recover a ThinkPad tablet as I can with my LePad A1?

I'm unable to do a full factory reset... since, even after this the tablet takes 10 minutes to start and start throwing errors Launcher when it is started.

    ThinkPadTablet_A310

Yet Android 3.1, because no update is already not come across

The problem has been resolved, but not with the help of Lenovo. Update to 4.0.3 ICS should be a simple update, but it seems not all the TPT is equalized and Lenovo does not provide complete recovery images (only incremental patches). I could reflash my device using nvflash and ClockworkMod. Restore a nandroid image provided by the people of nice at xda-developers. It seems that the script of update in Lenovo update ruined my EBT boot to partition of the device 4. It was restored by myself finally. I am very disappointed that Lenovo does not provide a complete recovery image. Hopefully Lenovo will consider the lessons learned from the TPT for future products, but after dealing with several Lenovo tablets already with similar maintenance problems, I'm sure I've learned my lesson.
