This computer is not running windows 7, but wants to install wins 10
I get the pop up that I'm not under a genuine version of windows 7. I tried to check the properties of the COMPUTER in the start menu it says activated. Can I run windows update, and he keeps trying to install Win 10. It's something that I don't need right now. What gives? I bought the computer new August 2015.

I got sick of it. I don't have the possibility to reactivate windows under computer properties. And I didn't want to make the phone call to explain why I am reactiveting windows. So I drove back to a file image of seven and until there were now questions being a valid copy. At this time in my life that I have too many things to deal with, so I'm happy, I had an image file to fall back on.
I wish MS would get their act so that what made their operating system. It is not valid, but it is also valid if you please upgrade to Windows 10.

0x8004fe21 - "this computer is not running Windows" - KB3024777 update does not resolve the issue
Hello
My Windows 7 has been giving me some problems lately. I get messages that "this computer is not running genuine Windows" (0x8004fe21). I'm running a genuine version of windows, and when I check the properties of my computer, it tells my that I have in fact validated my copy of Windows 7.
I also had a problem when new updates to Windows Update settle not and after a few google searches, I have concluded that this must have been caused by bad KB3004394 update.
It has been suggested that I deleted this update, but it did not show anywhere under installed updates.
It has also been suggested that I downloaded the patch of "quick fix" KB3024777, which is supposed to remove the faulty update.
I did, and since then, the issue of windows updates has been resolved. Again installing the updates of windows, but I still get messages I'm not authentic Windows. In addition, I tried all sorts of things, I found in online forums, but I don't remember exactly what those who were, because most of them were things that I didn't understand.
Maybe you guys can help. Thank you in advance!
I was told to run MGDiag and post the results here so here go us:

This computer is not running windows genuine with error HrOffline: 0x8004FE21.
Original title: this computer is not running genuine windows...
So, I had this PC for about 3 years now, and even more. Since this computer was bought so long ago and not even by me, but my mother, I don't know where all the CD or have papers for it. However, I know for a fact that this computer IS running Windows. I've never had this problem before. It started to appear about 4 days ago. I read everywhere and I'm not entirely sure what I need to do about it because it seems that there are many different solutions to this problem. The only new thing I added to this computer was wifi. I added a TP-Link 450 Mbps Wireless-N dual band PCI Express Adapter. TL-WDN4800 model number. I had to open the computer, put it in and install the stuff that goes with it. I did about a week or two before this message starts to appear. I don't know if this could be the reason for the message «this computer is not running genuine windows...» "is displayed.

I've recently updated my old WD Scorpio Blue HDD(640GB) format tip of Hitachi 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive.
When I entered the serial number at the back of the laptop, it has not be activated and so I opted for the path of phone activation. (this was happening before too and I used to activate the phone, but never I had windows is not an authentic message).
Windows has been activated successfully, and then, suddenly, after two days, I get a message "this computer is not running genuine windows.
It's strange, because I formatted and reinstalled so many times before in the past on the old HDD.
As far as I know, the serial number is related to the motherboard of the system and not the HARD drive right? So I don't get as to why is - that say windows is not genuine. The features of Windows Update is disabled for me...
Details of the laptop:
Acer Aspire 5740 G, intel i5, 4 GB RAM.
Installed antivirus: Avast Internet security (under license).
Is could someone please help me solve this problem? I really need your help...
I ran the diagnostic tool and here are the metrics for your info:

This computer is not running Windows genuine - help please
I use a HP Pavilion 6675, I've had for a few years - it has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Home. Now I get a pop-up message of Windows Activation Technologies by saying that this computer is not running genuine windows. If I click on the link to solve online now, he takes me to a page that whirles around for a certain time and then trying to make me buy Windows genuine (which I already have!). It seems because of this problem, I am currently not able to install updates for Windows. At rang HP support, they want me re - set the computer to factory settings - seems too drastic for me. Surely, there must be a simpler solution? I saw the diagnostic tool mentioned on a couple of other threads, so I ran it. Here are the results. If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.

Bought the disk online, worked great, I had a few computer breaks down and built a new computer. Many worked on the new computer for months... then the message "not authentic" began to appear.

I get the message of Windows Activation technologies "this computer is not running Windows" for the last few days. When I click on 'Set online now' it takes me on the Microsoft site and offers I buy the new sofware. My Windows 7 is genuine and has been installed on my Sony Vaio again, so obviously I don't want to buy it again. After reviewing on community support area, I saw that MGADiag generates a report that could help solve the problem and it is copied below. Any help would be welcome.

2. right click on CMD.exe and select "Run as Administrator"
3. type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)

5. type: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat
6. type: cd %windir%\system32

Help... This computer is not running genuine windows
Hello
In the last week, I started getting a message "this computer is not running genuine windows. I don't know, but it seems that the problem started after the update. I have owned the computer for a while and bought new from Tiger Direct. When I check the status of my windows software it says active. Help, please.
Windows 7 Home Premium (x 64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601
Mr Cameron G, a SOLUTION MUCH more SIMPLE: SIX CLICKS AWAY FOR WINDOWS GENUINE
I had exactly the same problem for several weeks until I found the answer here or on the? Help and Support in Windows 7 button start on my (and your) desktop. It is a very SIMPLE FIX and it worked for me, I really hope it works for you.
Left click on the Start button. Type to activate Windows. A list appears at the top of your Start menu. Click on activate Windows. Windows will then "enabled". a pop-up will appear. Left click on it where we can read: "learn more about the benefits of genuine Windows online. This will take you to microsoft.com/en-us/windows/genuine.
Scroll down on this page where you can read, "is your genuine Windows?
Left click where you can read, 'validate now '.
Another Microsoft web page is displayed with instructions.
It will be this one:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Validation status: Action requiredThe validation process cannot continue because your web browser may not be configured to run the script required. To continue with the validation, please try the following:
- Click on validate now to start the validation process replacement (optimized for browsers unable to perform the initial validation script).
- When you are prompted, click Save or run this program from its current location.
It will read 'Validate now' (here on this page in PURPLE LETTERS)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The instructions on this page that I copied and pasted above will be told "when you are prompted, click Save or run this program from its current location. . But the run option did not have when I clicked on "validate now". I left simply clicked on the option granted to Open.
I was so happy with only SIX LEFT CLICKS, my original 'copy' of Windows 7 that was preinstalled on my (that)! PC has been ACTIVATED and authentic! Because this REALLY, REALLY made me great stress and anxiety, because I can't afford expensive Tech Support or Service of the store, and I use my PC for good more than simple entertainment.
You will be done and your copy of Windows to be "Genuine" and your Activation will be confirmed.
Yet once again, it worked for me, and it seems that it happened after a very bad attack of Mal-ware on my PC. So I advise you to run free online Scanner from Microsoft security, for a thorough search and Mal-ware removal, virus (s), and or spyware.
Best of luck, please BE SURE to let me know if this "fixed" your problem.
Sincerely yours, not a tech, lived but that and much more.
Jim Colvin

I haave had this since 2008 HP Pavilion desktop computer. It came with Win 7 Home installed, and Office Depot had upgraded to Win 7 Pro. I ran it without any problem of validation for more than three years now. Tuesday I'll be back for an appointment and the computer went to sleep. When he woke up normally, I found a 'Windows Activation Technologies' popup saying "this computer is not running genuine Windows". I tried the link "pay online now", but he ordered me to have to pay for a new facility. I do not want to do because my Windows has already been purchased and is valid for more than three years.
Then run Windows Genuine Advantage Diagnostic tool and it came true.

SSDT HPQOEM SLIC-CPCI ran full virus and malware scan with Avast Pro and Malwarebytes Pro and a complete diagnosis with Advanced System Care Pro tools that have always kept this system clean and stable. As expected, no malware, regular maintenance tasks only were delivered. It's been several days since the last time that I made no change to the system (I upgraded a utility) and the system has been rebooted at least four times after that without problem. The only other change was an update of Windows. Interestingly, after that same Windows Update on my machine Vista, it refused to start (BSOD) and I had to go back to a two days old restore point - that fixed it. I always had a mysterious problem with Win 7 Pro machine that it creates restore points, but I can never find, so I can't have this option on this computer.
I'm trying to start a new business and cannot afford to be without my computer, or do strange things, or buy a new copy of Windows and take the time to restore a careful configuration of three years. I when I recently bought a new laptop from Office Depot, I also bought a Windows 7 Pro upgrade kit and installed myself. When I did, I realized that the update CHANGES THE PRODUCT KEY and I knew not when they improved the office... they give me new product key for the Pro upgrade, so all I have is the original OEM key and apparently going to lose my Pro upgrade if I need to reimage from the disks in the system or the OEM partition. This is not acceptable, either, and I have no idea how to go about face. The transaction took place three years ago!
Please help; I'm already running on the razor's edge with the launch of this company. This error is likely to destroy me financially. I can't do what I need to do on the laptop - it is a low-cost, minimal machine and specifically, has no office and the ability to perform graphics... things cutting-edge software that I need to be able to do.
Click Start
in the search box, type
System restore
and press the Enter key
Once the system restore is displayed, click Next
Now put a check mark in the box "Show more restore points.
What points appear now?
If there is a just before your problem, try this.
If this isn't the case - as I say, CANCEL any act performed by ASC and uninstall it.
Then run another MGADiag report and post it.
