This computer is running is not Genuine Windows
I started getting this message about 2 weeks ago and it seems (but I don't know for sure) that this is an unfortunate consequence of the installation of Visual c# 2010 Express.
Since getting this error, I sent e-mails back to MS customer who asked me to validate and Service a few methods to do. Also, I was on the phone with some MS in India customer support employees who were super useless.
My copy of Windows is valid and active (new Toshiba from Best Buy), but I still have the error message and cannot download the updates of Windows.
Anyway... After reading some of the similar reports in this forum, it seems that my problem was returned in the report of diagnosis as follows (I am only the file match reports and altered to produce statements):

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655-S5305 application, running Windows 7. I made a few cds of music there are chandeliers and that they will not play on this computer. They do not play on my computer of husbands, good girls. I think that they are MP3. My cd drive is appearing and showing to work properly, but just read it as a blank CD. To go with this... I am a legal transcriptionist and use a program called FTR player. I downloaded some MP3 audio files and who won't play in my FTR player either, so I think it has something to do with. MP3 files, in the form of .wav files play in my FTR player very well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Jodi
Red flag. CCcleaner. If you used to "clean" your registry database, which can cause problems. CCcleaner is also a good program, but registry cleaners do not help and remove what they think are "unused" entries in the registry that can cause problems later.
Try to download the Real Player and see if that corrects your problem, but if it is not, you may need to restore your computer to the factory settings by your user guide's instructions.
When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. External hard drives 1 TB are about $85 these days and a very good FREE backup program corresponds to the Easeus todo backup free of charge that you can download from
http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.
Good luck.

* Original title: windows 7 download
I have a laptop dell M4400 with windows 7 pro OA. HARD drive crashed and I replaced with a new one. How to put Windows 7 on the new hard drive without boot cd? How will I know if 32 or 64 bits? This computer yourself running windows 10?
It has probably comes with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
You can download a copy of Windows 7 Professional using the following instructions (update of Microsoft recovery software supports downloads with the COA key):
How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?
Make sure you scroll down and read the section:
What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?
You can also use Windows 10 too as you have the right to it as a free upgrade:
- Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
- Reboot several times, and then try again.
- Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
- If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
- Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
- If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
- If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
- If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
- If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
- If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

REMOVED FROM WINDOWS VISTA AND NOT GENUINE WINDOWS 7 INSTALLED
Hello
What is the best way to go to solve the following problem? My brother downloaded a non-genuine version of windows 7 to Utorrents. My laptop had Vista originally. I can't find any trace of Vista anywhere, and now it's a problem when I set up my wireless internet connection.
Have to buy an upgrade to a real windows 7 or what? Vista is obv not terrible as it sounds. Just want a normal work :) laptop
Thanks for your help
Mike
In this case, you have two options.
(1) buy a copy of the full details of which edition of WIndows 7 that you want to use (this one sounds, basic home edition can be sufficient - if not, Home Premium) and reformat/reinstall using them.
(2) buy an edition upgrade of WIndows 7 for which edition you want AND get the discs of recovery of the manufacturer - reinstall Vista and then upgrade to WIndows 7.
(3) - ONLY possible if the COA sticker is present and correct for a qualifying operating system (that would be) - buy a complete upgrade to Win 7, and use double-install method to install it clean.

I want to install a new HARD drive in a tower of the mine to a friend. It was initially created as a RAID 0 configuration with two 160 GB HDD. The replacement is a single 1 TB of HARD drive. I get the message "this computer's hardware may not supported booting to this disk.» Am I missing an approach from a RAID 0 for a RAID configuration, no?
Hi RegularPencils,
I suggest that you check in the basic input/output system (BIOS), if you find an option to disable the RAID. If you find, disable the RAID and try to install Windows vista, check if it helps.
Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk
I get the error message "this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk" when you try to install Windows Vista on a Western Digital Scorpio 640 Gb SATA hard drive in my laptop Q320. The laptop works very well with WD Scorpio 320 GB hard drives. I formatted the disk in the installation procedure and use Diskpart to create a partition/format etc, but still no luck. I have only one disk in the machine. Can someone advise. Thank you
Are you sure you are using the correct bit size on the disk (32-bit or 64-bit) depending on your computer? Download and check things with the Vista Upgrade Advisor:http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Vista-Upgrade-Advisor-Download-40277.html (although I suppose that it is is not possible if you have already formatted the drive) and at least check the different devices and installed the software in Vista Compatibility Center: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/.
Here is an article on this specific problem with recommended solutions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925481/en-us. Note that it says may be a problem with the BIOS (the installation or version) - so you should check the settings and then contact the manufacturer of the computer for the updates that you can install.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

I also have a recovery disk (that came with the computer) which can reinstall windows 7 {last resort}
Before you say it could be due to an update of windows, but I do not run updates unless necessary [Yes that would make my computer windows more vlurnerable but I can't have a update to mess up the computer which it is once]I am at a loss of what to do next might have to reinstall windows...
First, install the latest Windows updates. I noticed that your installation is Windows 7 Service Pack 1 RTM - 7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119 - 1850.

See if you are able to change the product key.
If this is not the case, try the following:
Click Start, type: CMD
Right-click on CMD
Click on run as administrator
At the command prompt, type the following commands:
slmgr.vbs - ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (to replace the specified in the current product key)
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - represents your product key
Press enter on your keyboard
Leave the command prompt
Restart your computer
Try again activate by phone.

Computer crashes to 2 or 3 minutes after startup, sometimes said "not genuine Windows".
Hello!I have a Toshiba Satellite L750D. Windows 7.Everything works fine when there is 3 months, I bought the laptop.A few days ago, it started to happen:The computer starts correctly, Windows starts up, watch the user login screen. Everything works well so far. This desktop computer, runs Windows as usual. Two or three minutes later, it becomes terribly slow. So slow that just try to open Explorer takes like 5 minutes... Then the situation becomes unbearable, it's as if the computer crashes. Then I have to stop it manually (by pressing button On / Off for 5secs).In another time, share this problem, it appears at the bottom right of your desktop that the copy of Windows is not genuine.I know that it is authentic, I bought the laptop and I have activated Windows correctly. But hey, this is a minor issue and only happens 1/3 of the time I try to start the computer. The main problem is that Pseudo-gel of infinite of Windows.Start in Safe Mode does not change the problem at all. It starts well and like 3 minutes later, becomes terribly slow.I can solve the problem somehow (running antivirus, etc.) because I can't throw soft...Appreciate your comments on this issue,Best regardsJoel MolleringHello!
Thank you for the comments, but since the computer is a Toshiba, it has a default System Configuration that allows me to restore the laptop in fabric, without having to start windows.
I did, I lost a couple of files, but now everything is ok.Thank you -
I sent my laptop for a repair by the TechGuys @ PC World long time but now I keep the message that my Windows is a counterfeit.
The TechGuys insist that they not have installed corrupted software and refuse to do anything more on this subject

I tried to remove the sp1 that I saw on another post but that he has received the following message: "Setup has detected the error: 0x800736b3.» The assembly reference is not installed on your system. »
The problem is that I have the disc of Windows 7 OS because it was already installed when I bought the laptop, so I find myself with this problem and no way to fix it other than spend more money buy a new OS and I simply do not have it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated so thank you in advance if you can help.
