I started getting this message about 2 weeks ago and it seems (but I don't know for sure) that this is an unfortunate consequence of the installation of Visual c# 2010 Express.

I'm beginning to suspect that this series of incompatibilities of file is the result of an update failed - Please download and install Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com) once it is executed, look in the section Windows updates and see if there are marked as being broken.
Also, look in the history of the versions of Windows and see if the updates are marked as having failed
post the output of your return.

In the meantime, please try to use the System File Checker to repair the files - it may work with some, but I highly doubt it will work for all.
    System - Instructions File Checker
    Click the Start button
    type in the search box
    CMD. EXE
Right-click on the single file that is
    Select run as administrator
-the elevated command prompt window should appear
    At the command prompt, type

    SFC/SCANNOW

    and press the Enter key
Wait for that analysis at the end - make a note of any error messages - and then restart.

run another MGADiag report and view the results.

  • "This computer is not running genuine Windows", but it is

The Windows Activation Technologies message saying "this computer is not running genuine Windows", but it came from a major manufacturer (Dell) with the current operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) preinstalled. I swap to a new HARD drive, but it was several weeks ago and it only happened in the last days. After that reading other threads here I downloaded and executed MGADiag, here is the result:

  • I cannot perform certain functions because he says that I'm not an administrator, but it's my computer and I'm the only one who uses this computer__

I cannot perform certain functions because he says that I'm not an administrator, but it's my computer and I'm the only person who uses this computer

What are the functions? More global changes (changes to the system, software installation) require an elevation in Vista/Windows 7.

Changes to the built-in Vista administrator account

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=942956

User - recommended configuration (Vista and Win7) accounts

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all other Windows 7, Vista, and modern operating systems are operating systems multi-user with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it may require more work you want to do. Better not to get into a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Build 7601 a copy not genuine Windows. Problem is that it is

I have a problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 computer laptop I've had for a good 2 years now since March. It came with Windows 7, and I know that it is authentic, because he never had the message at the bottom right. However, today, a message saying "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine", but it is! What should I do? Excuse if this is in the wrong topic, I don't know where it goes into the subject.

Well, I did said the comment. The analysis said that. I hope that I copied it correctly.

    Is anyone know now?

Wait a second! I noticed, after I did the analysis thing the message saying that it is not genuine is gone! What on Earth is happening?

the report shows no problem. There are a few characteristic heal self then maybe that fixed it...

If it happens again after a new report.
  • All of a sudden not genuine Windows 7 OEM

Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, OEM

Have been running this copy of Windows for years, I am running a cloned disk because my original HD failed. All the time that I started to have problems with the original drive that I started to have the popup that my copy of Windows is not genuine, so I think I might have some corrupted files and no idea how fix it. When I right click on my computer and look at the properties, it says that Windows is turned on... but I get the popup.

Report of the diagnostic tool, it lists a bunch of files 'doctored '... I have no idea how this could happen:

  • Installed a version not genuine Windows 7 and can no longer connect to my wireless network.

REMOVED FROM WINDOWS VISTA AND NOT GENUINE WINDOWS 7 INSTALLED

    Hello

What is the best way to go to solve the following problem? My brother downloaded a non-genuine version of windows 7 to Utorrents. My laptop had Vista originally. I can't find any trace of Vista anywhere, and now it's a problem when I set up my wireless internet connection.

Have to buy an upgrade to a real windows 7 or what? Vista is obv not terrible as it sounds. Just want a normal work :) laptop

    Thanks for your help

    Mike

In this case, you have two options.

    (1) buy a copy of the full details of which edition of WIndows 7 that you want to use (this one sounds, basic home edition can be sufficient - if not, Home Premium) and reformat/reinstall using them.

    (2) buy an edition upgrade of WIndows 7 for which edition you want AND get the discs of recovery of the manufacturer - reinstall Vista and then upgrade to WIndows 7.

    (3) - ONLY possible if the COA sticker is present and correct for a qualifying operating system (that would be) - buy a complete upgrade to Win 7, and use double-install method to install it clean.

Running older Acrobat Pro 9 on laptop v.  It crashed.  I do not have access to inactivate.  Have a new laptop and have taken the serial number when he asks the trial version.  He rejects as it is an outdated version.  Called service and they continue to direct me to the cat «get help»  I only stay 7 days before the crashes of the trial version and would like to help.  Without having to spend $400 for a new product.

Just before installing the new Acrobat without buying it. Your serial number will only be for 9.0.  And there will be no support, it was long after the end of life. Use your original disks.

Quote your full version of Windows (for example, WinXP SP3;) Vista SP1; Vista 64 - bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64 bit) when you post in a forum or a newsgroup. Please do it in your next reply.

What problems do you think that reinstalling Windows can solve?

Did you do a repair installation, or you format and do a clean install?

  • I am trying to rebuild my old iTunes library (hoping to keep notes, play counts, playlists, etc.) on a new laptop of an old PC, even if the only files I have to use the old are the .xml, .itl.

I am trying to rebuild my old iTunes library (hoping to keep notes, play counts, playlists, etc.) on a new laptop of an old PC, although the only files I have to use the old are the .xml, .itl and current music files. Is this enough information to do it, and if so, how should I do?

I lost the other information by following the instructions found online of other attempts. I have unfortunately seem to have lost all that concerns my old library with the exception of the foregoing. I have been using an external hard drive to make this attempt. When iTunes opens it is empty, and when you try to import the .xml I only get playlists, although there is nothing inside of them. It would not be the end of the world for me to start all over again, I've not lost music files, but loading in my all of my old info is much, much, much more desirable. Thank you!

I'm sure that the sides are stored with the file of 80%. (wav mp3/4 whatever)---> or at least the should be!

    Just install itunes.

Copy the contents of your old folder in the itunes directory and start itunes--> it will do the rest.

    PS...
However, I wouldn't bother with itunes more... windows media player is pretty cool in 7, does all the same things.

Personally I stick with the purchase of CD (mp3 downloads are a rip off)

'Cool' apples, however, is not it... and what would we do without our podcasts (what happened to the embedded html objects I don't know) computer nerd who serves the grannies
