  • This program runs as miniclip games .exe files?

In addition, this program can be installed on a Mac?

I downloaded a few files that claim to be an Application (.exe) file on my Windows computer and I wonder if I can play them on my Mac.

    Hi Ellaslogin,

You cannot install an application from the file .exe on a Mac. .exe files are dependent on windows, they require windows libraries to run. . exe are executable files that are designed to be installed and works only on Windows-based computers.

You can contact Apple to check which file types and their extensions that can be installed on a Mac.

    Link to contact Apple:http://www.apple.com/support/

    It will be useful.

  • Help! A registry cleaner/duplicate file remover program deleted my file extensions!

Help, please! A solvent cleaner/duplicate file registry program removed nearly all my file extensions, and I can't open any files excet a .pdf file. Several weeks ago, I went online looking for ways to increase my memory on my Windows XP Professional. I had no business playing with this stuff. I'm not tech savy. For some reason, I thought I knew what I was doing. I downloaded several different free programs, which were supposed to increase the memory on my hard drive. I don't know what program was the culprit, but she deleted my file extensions. Is there a free program that fixes / replaces all the typical file extensions? Please, please advise.

Use system restore to return to a time before your error - this should restore the registry to its previous state and resolve the problem.

  • unused file extension

CCleaner has found several times a file unused ext.   . It's just a simple point.  There is no place or hkey, just a point

It cannot be removed and is the only one who finds it and has for a year (when I downloaded)

query, if the point is followed for example. exe or somethng else is is more than a position of unused file is. Since everything is.    tracking something there at - there a way to remove this point without affecting other programs that CCleaner has tried and it doesn't work.

It is no file not found and no information other than (file unused ext.)          .) nothing more to do.

    What a clever virus...

    Hello

I wouldn't worry at all here Ccleaner find unused file extensions. I suggest to ignore these, because that it happened a lot such Ccleaner found on my system where the file extensions actually has existing or were used.
In some cases, Ccleaner has problems with the list of file extensions properly (list), so this is another reason why you should ignore this. After all, 'used' file extensions in the registry does not affect anything / harm at all. It would be worse if you have Ccleaner remove this so-called unused file extensions (which happens a lot btw), while extensions are not used. It would break their file associations.

So, fix it when it is not broken :)

  • In "set your default programs" under Win7, file associations of Firefox are altered.

"Set your default programs" in the control panel of Windows 7, Firefox appears in the list of "Programs" on the left. But its icon is that of Windows Media Player.

After I click on the name of the program (Firefox) to see the details on the right, I noticed that Firefox icon becomes that of Windows Media Player, also. And "Mozilla Corporation" becomes "Microsoft Corporation".

If I click on "Set this program as default", files of these types are opened by Windows Media Player, no Firefox:
    htm, html, shtml, xht, xhtml.

So I must manually associate these file types Firefox to "associate a type of file or Protocol with a specific program.

To resolve this problem, should what registry entries I change?

You can try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, perhaps as an administrator.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • Adobe Type Manager problem with Windows 7 and DIN fonts file extension appears not

I have Windows 7 and for some reason, I can't install Adobe Type Manager on my computer.

I need ATM to install the DIN font but I'm having no luck what so ever.

I can see the police DIN in my Dropbox, but it appears like this: - ._DIN-"BOLD", no file extension. what I am doing wrong? What is Mac?

Adobe Type Manager absolutely cannot be installed on Windows 7. In fact, even to try to install it may corrupt your installation of operating system and its ability to make properly Type 1 and OpenType CFF fonts. The latest version of Windows for which ATM was compatible at all was Windows XP, 32-bit only!

Adobe Type Manager is not at all necessary to install fonts, fonts, Type 1 on Windows 7 systems. Right click on the file of fonts for TrueType of OpenType CFF fonts or the. PFM file for Type 1 fonts and select the installation option.

You try to install the font file is for MacOS. It cannot be installed on Windows.

  • Do I need a program like file Cure by parento LOGIC will correct all types of file extensions? This program is a scam or works? Is there something better?

Is DriverCure by parento LOGIC a scam? It work? This program addresses all types of file extensions? Or is there a better program I could use?

If you have mutiple file extensions that have been changed, you were probably victim of some malicious programs and your best choice of action (as malware rarely comes without friends and other riders) is a complete wipe and the new installation of the tracking updates and restoring your file system and personally connected since the last known good backup applications you did.

  • run missing files rundll32.exe missing. Unable to open many programs

Infection Trojan horse on Sunday, McAfee detected and removed on Monday.  run missing files missing rundll32.exe can't open most of the programs without having to 'open with' quick screen.  Have tried the solutions to similar problems, without success.  Cannot use the restore system or clickfree. AM running xp service pack 3, any suggestions?

    He hides on your part.

The dllcache folder is a hidden system folder (normally).

The dllcache folder is where XP keeps copies of important system files.  Windows file protection monitors these files when your system is working and if it happen never disappeared, PAM quickly and quietly replace it using the copy in the dllcache folder - this is why you put the rundll32.exe file in both places...  One in the dllcache folder is the backup.

If you want to use Windows search, you need to go to the Advanced Options section and select the search system folders and enable folders and files hidden research.

If you use Solution Explorer, while you're looking in the c:\windows\system32 folder, you must:

    Click on tools
Click on the folder view tab Options
Enable: Display the hidden files and folders
Disable (uncheck): Hide extensions of known file types
Disable (uncheck): Hide protected operating system files

Then, you'll be able to find and navigate in the dllcache folder.

When you are finished, you can set your options to view back the way they were then you don't have an accident one day in one of these folders.

  • None of my programs will open or run, cannot run the files downloaded from the internet, either to try to resolve it.

I am running windows XP Pro and am unable to open any programs at all.  I was uninstalling some programs add and remove applications in Control Panel and I think I deleted a necessary program, file or something because right afterwards none of files or programs would be open. I get the error the file extension that is not associated with this file. I can't open the system restore program to restore the computer to an earlier configuration. I tried to get a regestry cleaner to fix regestery errors, but none of those I work. I am able to get on the internet and e-mail but am afraid the computer because it cannot be started again. I tried to load a regestery cleaner from the internet but nothing will load or run it. Help!  I also tried to change the program that opens files, but went wrong, and now all files are associated with windows internet explorer 8. I have no idea how I did all this and come back to this computer from the place of the computer because the old hard drive died on me and they put in another. It was working fine until I felt the need to clear up disk space and delete some old programs. I'm sure I messed up and deleted a file that was necessary to open others. I don't have the XP disk to try a fix and nothing in the pages of microsoft download will run. Oh please I don't want to take that back to the computer type that will charge me an arm and a leg. I just made him pay $ 200 last week. Any help will be great.
