The actuator gets ceased to be on the media to a ramp where there is inactivity disk of typically 0.5 s FYI, the actuator contains a control arm where the read/write heads are located at the end of the arm. The noise you hear is the trigger to achieve a magnetic catch. The heads are removed by the media. This reduces the amount of energy that consumes the hard drive and in turn, it improves the reliability of the HARD drive. Moreover, it is a good idea to back up your computer regularly!

• After the export project from FCPX thud in QuickTime

  I have looked for a solution all over but can't find any solution. I really hope someone here can help me.

  I have produced a song myself and now want to add some video clips and then send the final product on YouTube. The music file I imported to FCPX is 48 kHz, 16 bit Wav. Everthing sounds good in the FCPX scenario. In addition, the music file sounds good in iTunes.

  The problem occurs when the final product is exported from FCPX. After export, the sound becomes deaf. Other things also happens to the song. For example: in the intro, I have a trap of working capital. At the end of each measurement, I a harder drum hit. When that hit the drum, the volume of the snare is declining. What is happening not in iTunes. This destroys the sound and is a bit frustrating.

  I tried to export with all the different parameters, that I can find. The same issue occur in iMovie.

  The noise level is not above 0 dB and are never in the Red tip in FCPX.

  I also tried to put the level-12 dB and export the project. Subsequently, the overall volume is too low and the problem persist.

  Hope someone out there have a solution.

• Thud just by listening to the track of game hearing

  I recently installed Adobe Audition CS6 and Ive used Audition in the past, but its been awhile. What I noticed is that if I record myself, or pull audio from another track, the sound still sounds muffled, like sound coming from the inside of a box.   I have a tecra A4 and began to experience problems starting after a stop. the laptop takes 15 minutes to allow me to restart it if I started right after that I stopped him.   It's really not easy to say what the problem is here. My first thought was overheating. Tecra A4 is pretty old model of laptop and is perhaps stops down due to overheating.

  Award-winning Music maker 17 is not known to me and I can't say anything about this request, but you should check if this issue can be connected to the laptop or special software. Perhaps you need to test it with other software.

  Like Stefan said, sounds begin because of certain activities of HARD drive. It is a normal question, but if sounds become stronger, then you should take care. It could be a HDD headcrash. So you should always back up your data and important files if you n t want to lose.
