  Hi, I had family security to work by removing the local account that I wanted to monitor and adjust it upward with a hotmail instead of just local account. Family safety has started working immediately and exactly as expected. I always think that theres a problem when people are trying to implement local accounts.   I bought a Newegg L655-S5111, which was on sale, put an SSD, and then installed a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, I got from my current employer (I'm a computer scientist). I've updated to the latest revision of the BIOS (1.70), and I have all the updates installed Windows, all drivers installed, including the correct drivers Conexant HD Audio and ATI HDMI Audio. Unfortunately, the sound does not work. Sound works briefly during my first install of Windows 7, then I cut it up until I could get it set up with a helmet. When I disabled it, she had stopped working.

  This laptop is less than 3 weeks at this point, old and I get no audio on headphones or speakers, even if Windows displays clearly no problems with the drivers, they have the latest version on a new installation, and I can see the audio mixer game. The laptop built-in microphone captures sound as well.   Can you please do a test and install original recovery image Toshiba, that you got with your laptop on this new SSD, just to see if it will work with the original image.

  Recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and OS is perfectly configured so each piece of hardware in your laptop should work correctly.

  Thanks for the reply, sorry to hear that doesn't quite work!

  I recommend that you follow this document of the progress on the Installation software stops or stalls bar . This is assuming you have the old model 8500 A909 versus the A910 series. If I'm wrong, please let me know and I'll find a document for your model 8500.

  Since you are able to use your TouchPad before restarting your computer, I recommend that you follow this document on How to perform a boot in Windows. This should help

  If the problem persists, I suggest to restore your system to a restore point when you first install the drivers for your TouchPad. To do this, please follow this document on using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).

  Once you have restored your system to when the pilots first TouchPad installation, please follow this resource on how to activate the update or disable automatic so only with the help of HP Support Assistant (Windows 8). This should help to disable automatic updates and check to see what firmware to download individually. Please install each update individually, taking note of update causes incompatibility of software with your TouchPad.

  I just bought a HP p6803w CPU which runs on Windows 7.  When I try to connect to my HP LaserJet 1022 it won't work.  Apparently, I need a compatible driver downloaded.  When I tried to download the drivers on the HP site, it seems that one of the two was not installed.  Help!  I am an online student and desperately need my printer to work.

  On my win7 64 bit system, I tested the drivers posted on the hp.com site and they load and print a page of test as well as Word and Excel.

  Steps to load:

  1. download the driver

  2. click on run

  3. click on the "I agree" box and then the next button.

  4. Connect USB cable when connecting via USB port screen displays. You should get the pop up in the lower right screen that says: "install the software device driver".

  5. what pop-up disappears, drivers have been loaded, cancel on all other screens and the pop - up asking if you know you want to cancel.

  6. go in the devices folder and printers

  7 find the HP LaserJet 1022 printer (must have a green check mark on it)

  8. the driver has been loaded successfully.

  Make sure that all previous attempts have been removed from the device and printer folders AND you have restarted your computer.
