  Disable the option Preferences > General > process files Next To Raw files as separate Photos JPEG.  Then again an import.  It appears that, in this case, LR consider a TIFF image to a file "gross".

  I'm having a problem saving a chart of tif to jpg.

  I'm doing a small copy of a chart to MS Word for a report, I have a tide and waves of the ocean to study for an oil company (my client).

  When I choose - Save as, sometimes I have the JPEG option available and sometimes I did not.

  I don't know why. Could someone please?

  I use photoshop cs3 extended.

  I suspect that you can work in one mode other than RGB, CMYK or grayscale when save as JPEG is not available.

  In addition, it is possible that CS3 requires you to manually convert documents 16-bit and 32-bit to 8-bit to save in JPEG to be filled.

  Look in the menu Image > Mode to see/change modes.

  I have the HP Photosmart C7283 all-in-one printer scanner copier fax. It worked fine on my old Vista laptop and now I installed it on my Windows7 desktop. The only thing that does not work properly is the scanner. It only lets you scan files bmp, jpg & tif, but not one I mainly use namely pdf. If someone could help. Thank you very much.

  The PDF function should be available using the software of HP full feature.

  If you just plug in the printer and used the printer in OS driver is ecpected behaviour.

  For this scenario, you should unplug the printer, remove any installed device, then install the full feature software:

  1. Disconnect any USB cable connected to your printer.
  2. Enter the control panel > devices and printers.
  3. Right-click the printer icon, then select remove device.
  4. Restart your PC.
  5. Download and install the full feature software below:
     http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL30662/MP-76036-1/PS_AIO_02_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe

  However, if you have installed the full features software and you use HP Solution Center to perform a scan, PDF file type should appear.

  If it does not appear, you have selected more likely not to install the OCR software that required for scanning to PDF:

  1. Start the Installation of the complete software functionality.
  2. Click Add additional software
  3. Select the Iris of the reading or the OCR Application and complete the installation.
  4. Restart your PC and PDF should appear in the dialog box, scan a Document.

• I have a work of art I want to transform a draw for a nursery, but when most of the sites require a tif or jpg format.  When I change in tif, my preview seems odd, that it shows everything on the pasteboard, not only my work plan.  How can I fix it?

  I have this problem with the squiggles cardboard be exported too! If you export the file, the dialog box includes a box that says "use art commissions", it saved me a lot of time! You can export several juries of art at a time! Works great for .png export, but it should be able to do the same thing for .tiffs.

• Impossible to get a glimpse of the tif to jpg files in Win Explorer 8

  Before installing Design Std CS6 (not CC) and Acrobat Pro XI, I was able to preview jpg and tif files in the Explorer Windows 8 in one of the viewpoints (extra, Large, medium-sized icons) and in the preview pane. However, now I see that the icon of the program, no matter what application (P'shop or win a photo viewer) I associate it with. PDFs fine displays in preview win.

  I know that I can listen to extracts in Bridge, but how to get back the ability to preview files jpg and goals in Win Explorer as well?

  Well, the problem was solved: installing Adobe changed two Windows Explorer folder Options (view > Options > Folder Options: View tab)- always show icons, never thumbnails and icon file to display in the photos have been verified after installation, but not before (I hooked cloned HD I had done prior to installation to verify). I can now see the pictures (instead of program icons) in Win Explorer in various points of view (large icons, medium icons, etc.), as well as in the preview pane. Hallelujah!

  Can't imagine why someone would want the icons of programs instead of the thumbnails - or why in $&! ^ % Adobe would cause this change to be made on the installation, but everything is back to normal and I'm a happy camper once more.

• Windows 7 64 how to save tif to jpg to use Adobe etc filters?

  Does anyone know why I can't save hair as jpg? I would like to compress my hair jpg so I can edit them with filters in CS5. Or

  is there another way to use filters on hair?

  Not need to record made it in a different format. Try the Image > 8bits/channel Mode

  and also the RGB color. Some of the filters do not work on 16 or 32 bits/channel

  images.

  I'm coming from AVID and try to learn this CS6.  I wanted to resize my file .tif on track 2 with a piece of film on track 1, I can't find the resizer to resize or repsotioning my Tif on my track. I right click (I'm on Win7 Pro BTW) did follow and have a lot of options I clicked by what I thought, obviously. Yet the bars support darn never appeared. Is there yet another small surface hidden, I need to finish the steps?

  Everything is complicated in this software. I watched 5 tutorials that look more like tutorials to interface with half of the information. Where are the "Real tutorials?  Like those that you take end-to end creating a project that teaches tips and tricks. Such as the creation of a sudden with a Tif or creation of a police anti-terrorist brigade for a Tif or Jpg to move on a time line. The that I find are like a vector Illustrator file import, but it only shows a file type to do it with and without exceeding any other type of files to mimic or do the same with. Really a frustrating piece of software. < / rant

  All clips (and active) in first have a number of "fixed effects" attached to them, when they come to the timeline (sequence)

  Sign your tiff on a video layer and go to the effects window to see fixed effects... Motion, opacity, etc.

  (A fixed effect is an effect that you don't need to apply separately for example a blur, CC,.. etc...)

  The user help manual is worth a read.

  Want to watch the fixed movement across effect.for and postioning.

• Conversion to DNG in Tif and exporting of bridge

  I focus of stacking for micro photography and the software that I use works with jpg or tif only. As I'm doing now is to import the raw files in Bridge convert to DNG as I then go to Lightroom and select all the DNG files and export to tif. Lightroom does it well, but have been until the end of the files on my hard drive is something of a crap shoot sometimes. I stand by that inside the bridge. I have used what we call the help file, but it seems to have no useful information on the subject or give me answers for almost all programs that Adobe puts. So the question is can I do this in Bridge or not? It is pretty much the only reason why I keep Lightroom autour.

  What you want is the image processor in Bridge.  Image/Photoshop/tools open processor.  Here you can batch convert to tif or jpg format.

  You can select the folder you want to save in, and you can also perform an action at the same time.

• Out of RAM issues - record jpg

  I had this problem start happening and no idea what to do.  put 12.0.1 update.  Snow Leopard.

  8 GB ram

  NVIDIA 9400 m

  NVIDIA 9600 m gt

  Under Preferences-> performance PS it shows that 2100 MB of available ram (was in 32-bit mode... all the shows of the ram in 64-bit)

  trying to save 600 MB tif to JPG... not enough RAM error.

  I tried 32-bit and 64-bit.  Turned off OpenGL drawing...

  I'm running out of options.  Well thanks for the help!

  I recently updated my computer fron 32-bit to 64-bit. Operating system Windows 7 Home premium.

  Since the upgrade I can only find TIF, BMP, JPG, PNG file for scanning worms and not PDF as types previously. I have downloaded the driver concerned after the upgrade.

  I see by your post that you no longer have the ability to save scanning to PDF format, since the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit.
  I would like to help.
  
  Drivers are a Hostbase Plug and Play drivers. It is not a software driver to full functionality with additional scanning software to save the scans in PDF format. You will need to use a third-party software.

  You can download a scan to PDF software, by doing a search on the internet.

• OfficeJet Pro 8500: Scan to PDF Format

  Hello.

  (1) I don't know if my OS is 32-bit or 64-bit. Should give a bit of a clue as to how much I know about computers;

  (2) my Officejet Pro allows to analyze in *.pdf; Now he doesn't. I tried everything, including the update of UN - and reinstalling drivers.

  (3) the installation disk supplied with the appliance doesn't list Windows 7 on the face (XP and Vista). I don't know how much difference that, given that the computer came with 7 and, even once, worked fine until he decided to do not.

  (4) after updating drivers, I can scan to tif, bmp, jpg, and png... but the pdf, it is what is wanted.

  (5) I can see and print pdf files, scanning is the only problem.

  (6) any ideas, before I reprogram this machine with a fairly large axe?

  Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

  I understand that you do not see an option to scan in pdf format, even if you have installed the full features software. You see only jpg and tif.  Here are two links that I think can help. • How can I keep the photo files id3 tagging? (And video files?)

  This question is about id3 tagging files photo (and video?). Probably, it revolves around managing the media too.

  I have tif and jpg files that I took of the old and the new point and shoot cameras. What I'm trying to do, is to have jpg and tif of the originals. Make some changes and have a jpg and tif amendment. So I have 4 files for each image (2 independent is the original and 2 Edition). I want a lossy and lossless for each file.

  I've bothered to fill out somethings in the id3 tagging. When I tried some changes in batches to get the files, id3 tags was empty.

  I use Windows XP SP3 Home Edition 32-bit. I tried to use FormatFactory to an export batch. I use Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X 3 also, who gave the same results.

  In Windows XP: I right click on the file, the Properties tab, I think it's the details. In my view, title, author, subject, keywords, comments. It's the id3 tagging which not copied.

  When I right click and COPY a file, it keeps the id3 tags.

  I really think there's a way to deal with this. Anyone use? Nobody cares? Need scripts and a certain program? I don't think that I would have to pay for it. How professionals and more or less experienced people do it?

  I don't want a markup that is recognized by some programs. I can do that already, but it is too advantageous. I won't tag id3 4 times. I don't want a watermark.

  Are the methods or rules identical for Win Vista, Win7 or Win8? I have 32-bit and 64-bit Vista Home Premium, but have not tried it on there. I have to start the migration of files again. Vista is choose with id3 tagging anyway from what I tried. I keep said that Win7 is similar or the same.

  A place to start...

  When a photo is copied... a new version of the file is created.
  During this process, some software will remove metadata
  in the file properties.

  The only insurance that I can think of would be to make a backup of the
  metadata, then restore the metadata if it is deleted.

  The following freeware has not been updated in a long time, but is
  a proven method to backup metadata.  Also the site
  suggests other alternatives.

• scanning with a mx892 Cannon and windows 8

  I'm trying to scan a document to multiple page in a single PDF with the Canon MX892.  I think I need the driver, MP Navigator Ex Ver 5.1.  It will download but not open on my machine Windows 8.  All solutions?  Currently, without this driver, I can only scan each page individually, and only as a tif or jpg.

  Create PDFs of the analysis can be done using a software as well. Usually, if a scanner works very well with a PC (that is to say, scans a document/image can be saved) and it means that it has TWAIN driver installed as well.
