Time zones and reversible functions

Hello

I need return information of zone on time stamps and dates, then they will be properly treated by the appellant. I added the use of the fn: adjust-dateTime-to-zone schedule, that works correctly for read operations. However, this is not a reversible function, and update plan is generated with no mapping for the corresponding attributes.

1. is there a reversible way to return the zone information
2. is it possible to cause ODSI return information zone in all areas, on all the attributes of type date and dateTime... or at least on a level of data service?

I tried to write my own inverse functions of dateTimeToString and stringToDateTime in java to do. The get operation worked properly, but the update operation fails because the value supplied is already a dateTime value and not a string.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Jeff

Hi Jeff -.

There is an associated patch to keep zones on sql types DateTime - that could satisfy your point 2.

Patch of the private sector: HGRD / PS7S1FJW for ODSI 10.3 - you should be able to retrieve/apply this patch with BEA Smart Update (or equivalent Oracle). Bug is 8862313. A note on this bug (or bug basis) says

"the patch causes all dates/times, created from java.sql.Timestamps to have a zone explicit
(previously they had implicitly zone "current"). When these dates/times
are serialized, the serialization will also contain the time zone. »

    Here are the outstanding issues:

    1 CalendarEvent.setTimezone needs a database id.

where can we get this list?

I have not found any method.

QTimeZone class has ids(), but QTimeZone does not exist in the Cascades

at present, no one can know that, e.g. for "Eastern Standard (-5)", you need to define ' America/New_York '.

    2. it must be possible to obtain the UTC offset for zone an and specific data

3 InvocationFramework - to create the calendar event time zone requirements and the location - the two is missing

good news for the zone names you want to assign to CalendarEvents as I do

Here's a response I just got from Mark Sohm:

    ----------

For the time zone, we use the standard time zone id Olson now not the zone names specific to Microsoft as "Eastern Standard Time" (even though in some cases, we are able to translate between the two), or previous BBOS time zone identifiers.

These codes can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones

How API works now, he assumed that the start and end times correspond to the zone local device and that you also assign the id of the Olson time zone that matches what you want the event to take.

    -----------

Have fun with the zones now - a powerful way to create CalendarEvents for another time zone, then your current zone

  • Time zone and date of creation of PDF

    Hello

I have two questions which I would like to please your help:

-Can the date of the creation of a pdf file be changed? What is strong evidence that the document was born in effect on that date? I should specify that the document was created with the pages mac application, and the date of creation has been consulted by checking the properties of the document on the adobe reader software.

-I am located in France/Paris GMT + 1, will be the creation date poster/converted in my local time zone (GMT + 1) or is it possible that the document seems to have been created later it should be because the creator or sender (later than the sender said) was in a different time zone?

    Thank you for your help

The date of the creation of a PDF document can be easily changed by using Adobe Acrobat or many other third-party PDF viewers. There is no hard proof when in fact the file was created.

  • I have problems with my computer with the time remaining after I reset the clock and made sure it was on the correct time zone and summer time has been check the battery has also been replaced

and it will not keep the exact time it will keep accelerate at least 5 minutes or more.

I don't know what else to do about it. You can someone help me?

I still find myself make too many assumptions.
First of all, I guess your derivative of clock occurs during the time when the computer is running and not during the period where it is off (or immediately early)?
Second, I'm assuming that when you run the command "w32tm/Resync" above, the clock made it back to the correct time and no errors were reported?
Third, you say that your clock drift 5 minutes or more, but you do not tell us how long this gain occurs.  It is two times more win if you wait twice as long to check?  Is the gain gradual or sudden?  Keep he wins or if he stops wins once it arrives before?

Conditions of default for a computer connected non-member of the field, the time will be updated network-time only at the start and then once a week.  If you are winning too much too quickly, you can adjust how many times your computer asks for time.  Computers in the domain must be more precise and one every hour for a default time synchronization.  You can set your W32tm to that of a computer in the domain to resynchronize your computer more often (SpecialPollInterval).  Here are two articles that describe the clock settings:

"How to synchronize the time with the time service Windows in Windows XP"

  • Time zones and daylight saving time

    Hello

Does anyone know how to handle DST on BI publisher?

In the winter my system (MS - SQL database) records the dates as "2008-02 - 24 T 00: + 00:00 00:00.000" i.e. GMT; during the summer to account for daylight saving time, it records the date as "2008-04 - 04T 00: 00:00.000 + 01:00"-Note the + 01.00 at the end of British summer time / daylight saving time. (either way, the system records a date instead of a date and time).

My problem is that the first will always return with February 24, 2008, while the second will come back with April 3, 2008 on the model and it does not seem be a switch or a code to take account of DST in the part Administration of BI or OPE / format masks.

I'd rather have a solution for all of the BI, rather than an OPE solution so I can implement in the whole patch, but I'm open to suggestions.

    Thank you

  • time and time zones

I have two children that I manage accounts on 4 different computers: 2 desktops and 2 laptops.   We live in one time zone but periodically they take their portable several time zones away to visit their grandparents. While they are gone, I want to make sure that the rules that I applied work in the zone they have. What I have to change to change the time zones as part of Windows Live?  I guess it has to do with their individual laptops, either the time zone that think that the laptop its in or its real time setting, but I have had trouble where it does not appear to be properly applied for both portable and when they come back.

    Hi Angry_Panda,

Windows Live Family Safety follows the time and date on your computer. The time zone must be set manually on the computer clock settings so that the settings of your rules to work in the zone. To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. click on the time and date located on the side of the taskbar righmost.

    2. click on change date and time settings.

    3. click on the time zone Change.

    4. Select the appropriate time zone, and then click Ok.

    Thank you!

  • vmtools and time zone question

I have a question regarding the vmtools and time zones and the host.  When you use the feature vmtool time, regardless of what the time zone is assigned to the host?

Which means that if the VM is Oriental and the host is Pacific time, vmware will keep the vm that is synchronized with the time of the East or it syncs to Pacific?

    It does not matter.

  • How to configure time zone information in the failover database

    Hello:

I'm confused on what to do with a failover system time zone information. Here's the situation:

My application has tables with timestamp columns. When the application wants to update a record he questions the recording (and part of the record is the time it has been updated), changes the record and trying to engage. If the user spends an hour of last updated with it's update request. A stored procedure will check the current value of the lastUpdateTime of this record by doing a query on this line and compare this value with the one that the user provided in the update request.

Given that the installer, if my failover database is in a different time zone and traffic is automatically routed to the backup site, these comparisons are going to fail? They will fail only depending on whether I'm using CURRENT_TIMESTAMP vs SYSTIMESTAMP? No matter if the column is of type Timestamp which factors in the zone or not? Do I need to have both systems to be set to the same time zone (UTC, for example)? I'm afraid that even if I record it without time zone info, Oracle will try and automatically transform the time somehow. Perhaps my concern is not justified.

    Thank you.

    Here is the difference

The current_timestamp function returns the date and time in the current time zone of the SQL session as prepared by the ALTER SESSION command. It returns a value of TIMESTAMP WITH time ZONE SCHEDULE.

The systimestamp function returns the date current system and time (including fractions of a second and the time zone) on your local database.

If your application needs to update by using the time zone of the date.

  • AirPort Extreme - set time zone

    Greetings:

I have seen a lot of traffic on the change of the parameter of time zone in an AirPort Extreme, but I can't find an answer.  It seems that it may be impossible.  There is debate if even a hard reset of the device clears the set time zone and allow it to be reset.  It also seems to be no access to the device to terminal implemented a manual correction.

I left US mountain for the Eastern US time zone time zone.  I have an AirPort Extreme running firmware version 7.6.7 and use version 6.3.6 AirPort Utility.  My AirPort Extreme needs to operate in bridge, because of the way the Internet is provided by our service.  I use the 'access control Timed"to limit the time that my young children are able to access the Internet.

It should be a simple matter to define the time zone of my AirPort Extreme to my current location (or so it should automatically and reliably).  I don't know if the bridge mode interferes with the ability of the device to find its time zone.

Can anyone offer advice (other than to apply an offset from my control access timed two hours time difference)?  Can the Genius Bar at my local store to fix?

    Thank you in advance,

    WILX

Unfortunately, Apple has removed a number of parameters that they feel that the users do not need. Setting the time is one of them.

Finally, your airport will have the exact time, but it usually takes about 6 weeks for that to happen.  Until then, you will need to manually adjust the access delay settings to compensate for.  When the time of the correction is made, then you have to adjust again timed access.

We have seen some reports from users who claim that resetting the airport to return to the default settings and then setting them up again will fix the issue of the time, but it has not always worked when I tried it.

If the 'genius' can solve this problem quickly, then he won the title.

  • Calendar entry for flights crossing the time zones

I fight to find the right method to enter a calendar event that starts in a time zone and ends in another.  It is often the case for the flights of the airline.  Example: My departure is from New York (JFK) at 12:00 noon Monday and arriving in Seoul, Korea is at 16:24 (local) Tuesday.  I cross the road to the International Dateline. With Support for time zones "lit", how to capture these moments so that they are accurate, once arrived in Seoul?

Even more difficult: due to cross the International Date line on my return, I arrived in New York earlier that my time of departure the same day.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be appreciated!

    Paul

If you enable support for time zones, each entry includes the time zone setting. Select the correct time zone for each. Move real time you you include an entry in the "travel time" drop-down menu. Otherwise enter time manually and identify the zone in the title.

turned on my tab 2 A10-70 for the first time - it shows the screen of "set the language and time zone, but I do nothing that do accept the choice that I have selected.

The only thing that looks like a button is the small blue dot at the bottom, but nothing happens, no matter where I touch or swipe.

It allows me to change the language and time zone, and when I do, the lenovo logo down inside a little bit, but still nothing.

  • How to get the time based on the time zone?

    Hi all

I try to get timestamp based on the time zone I assign in the computer... for example right now I m CA, if I change the time zone of the computer IS, and use time get Sec.vi, I always get time to CA.

and not the ACC at EST time... How can I get the time according to the time on my laptop?

Think I remember vaguely that LV reads this parameter when loading, then try to restart LV after changing the time zone and see if that helps.

  • Time zone offset problems

I use a system where I have a Linux server and Windows clients.  The software is running is for security cameras, and it compares between the server and the client time zone offsets to determine what time to display for the recorded video events.  The problem is that Linux thinks I'm in GMT - 05:00, which is correct, and Windows think I am GMT - 06:00, which is false.

Both are set up for Central time, and the two report the correct time despite the different offsets.  I'm assuming that Windows maintains the offset based on the time zone, and then applies in addition an advanced time of savings (DST) offset because if I turn off the DST, the offset is the same.  In any case, something is wrong.  He is not much of interest to mention the system that I'm under because it is obscure and who will not help.  But the time zone difference time lags is the problem.

For what it's worth, this happens on several Windows XP and 7 computers.  An Android client works correctly, but is based on Linux, so not a surprise.

Anyone know what the problem is with Windows time zone does not properly?

  • BlackBerry Z10 change time zone in one place.

My BB Z10 automatically changed time zones so that I don't have.   I live in MST time zone, and I travel to the United States in CST time zone.

While the CST - and not move not, my BB is evolving at EST time zones.

Only a problem when I put the alarms and time zone changes - mess really my day upwards.   I guess that I could turn off the automatic time zone option - I wanted just to see if anyone else has this problem.

PS I you LOVE my BB - is a user since the first BB...

My suspicion is, as says @keithbergoff , it's a mistake not to the device and network.

For what it's worth, I see this from time to time. Sometimes it's once, sometimes several times. I have a colleague who almost missed a flight for this reason, when his clock iPhone turned back an hour.

My advice is set your BlackBerry to get to change the time zone. It will be only a drawback when you travel and, as you say, will prevent the change of time zone and you will not be aware.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones change time zone

I live in the Central time zone and my phone keeps flipping between Central and Eastern.  Usually it does only when he is in charge, but today he did so out of nowhere.

Under Options, Date and time, there is a selection of Auto update time zone. There are three settings, Off, and fast. It seems you want to be or invites.

I guess you live near the border between Central and Eastern Europe, and your phone connects sometimes to a tower in the Eastern time zone.
