  Hello

  I was able to create a modeless window using the crib of Popup plugin on certain actions in my opinion. The purpose of the popup is to view the progress of a task. Once the task is completed the popup updates the status.

  I created the popup using mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication as the parent object.

  Popup opens always and given listed status, I am able to navigate to reach other views of the web client UI.

  For example, then click on the 'Home' button in the web client, I can still see the popup. That's because I used mx.core.FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication as a parent object when creating popup.

  Its kind of interfering with the user interface of the web client.

  I want to reach Next:

  I would like to limit the popup in my plugin views. While I can navigate to different views in my plugin and see again the popup to check the status of the progress. Also if I navigate to the user interface of the web client, I don't want to have the popup parasites.

  Sorry, this is not possible and you are not allowed to add a modeless popup for this reason.

  You can only display status inside your own point of view of plugin.

• Tips for creating a presentation simple iPad

  Hello

  I was wondering what are my options for a document created in InDesign on an iPad? I read up on top of the DPS, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there according to the when it was written and by whom.

  Basically, we do a lot of presentations and tar in my agency, so far, they consisted mainly of boards and printed documents. What they would like to do now is give the presentation at the end of the session on an iPad for later viewing. These presentations are usually being developed until the last minute, so any version of the iPad should be as simple as exporting a file, connect the iPad and pressing a button to download.

  A few questions:

  1. they would like the presentation to appear as an icon on the screen main iPad, as opposed to a document in a standalone player application. Is this possible?

  2. the method of DPS to organize files and synchronization with servers online seems not ideal in my case. Do I have reason to say that there is still no available local sideloading functionality?

  3. the 'stack' and 'article' method of sorting the separated files seems very difficult to handle in my case, there is a way to have just a long document (for a simple presentation and printing) and then have it scroll sideways like a magazine on the iPad?

  4 lack of all this, have other options?

  To enjoy your own icon, would go through the process of building a custom DPS Viewer and send your application to Apple. It usually takes 5 to 20 days to accepted him. Therefore, no last minute change.

  kglad and Mohan, thanks for the help. I found what was wrong. I had the text of the rule too high DPI screen. I lowered and the mouse works on everything except that it's harder for me to see.HA apparently it was causing a conflict with the mouse. Maybe this will be useful to help someone else down the line. • First Pro CS 6 and Windows 10 - projects do not play in the timeline

  I bit the bullet and upgraded to Windows 7 Professional, Windows 10.  I had heard people say that first Pro CS 6 worked in Windows 10, so I was anxious to make the upgrade, but I was sure that it works ok.

  Boy, I was wrong!

  I can open previously created first Pro CS6 projects, and everything looks good on the timeline.  But the project will not play!  The "play" button on the changes in preview to the "Stop" button, but the current-time indicator does not move forward and the video does not play.  I can rub very well through the timeline.  If I press the "Stop" button, it won't come back on the 'Play' button, as it should.

  I tried to create a new project, import a video file and try to play it, but the same thing happens... it won't play.

  Any ideas?

  I realized that I had no sound at all... no windows sounds, nothing. My Realtek

  High Definition Audio sound card on my motherboard did not work. He has been

  selected as default in Windows playback device, but not sounds were

  to come. I selected another audio device and then switched back to

  the Realtek device and I had sound. Just for fun, I opened a project

  First, and he's now come back normally.

  Now, if only I could get all the 5.1 speakers, it would be

  large. It seems that I currently have audio '3.1' now! Realtek web page is

  not very useful to provide drivers. The configuration program for the

  sound card think it has side speakers, but they make no noise!

  That's what I thought would happen but my Youtube app has no 'default' and it seemed to have played in the player then maybe if you go to [settings > Applications > manage applications] and select the "all" tab, scroll down to browser and select it to see if there are default values. (See if the button "Default is clear" is grayed out or not)

  Hi - I suspect that this will be the cd burner (burners on laptops later model do not appear to be a stain on those allows us to get in office more than 10 years computers back) while the disks I burned my laptop play OK in WMP - troubles begin when I read on my Sony CD player. I've seen this on 3 mobile different CD burners - up to about 40 minutes OK - thereafter, useless!

  I suggest to a previous poster that if she was likely to want to burn regularly that she needs to invest in an external USB recorder - she did and now fortunately Burns decent discs again. It is a relatively small investment and depends on your likely usage level.

  Another point that I always do; buy a small pack of CD - RW so that you can test different options (and also to test burn projects) without losing write - once discs. Don't expect results without error on their part: they are not as stable as CD - R, but can save burn a lot of roller coasters!  -Cheers, Ric.

  I have been creating static ads for Google AdWords etc for a while but I would begin to create animated pools. • Tips for creating an application with web services please?

  I created a simple application for a client who interacts / monitors a device VISA with LV 2009.  The architecture is essentially a state machine with a timeout for VISA calls that retrieve the current state.

  The client asked that the app will also be controlled via the web and asked me to set up a demo with one or two simple functions.  I have the experience to bring charges against the Server Web LV7 model, but not with web services.

  So here's what I did...

  (1) added a line to my application that would inject actions in the state machine.

  (2) created a simple VI pushes these actions in the queue and plans to use it as the Web Service.

  And then I followed the examples for Web Services, thinking that the Web server is running in the same program as the development environment, such as the version LV7.  This doesn't seem to work.

  Could someone give me a quick overview on how best to do that, or to report an article?  I have simple working WS, but here are a few questions...

  We met this difficulty with our web app (LV 2009) as well.  Because now we feel the solution the easiest way is to activate the VI server in your main application (EXE) VI and place calls to its hierarchy of web services in the open Application > VI Open > call by Ref > close VI > structure to close the Application.

  Although we try to minimize the use of the present in web services, it makes sense for some resources shared and accessible throughout the world as references to database, configuration globals, etc.

  I also note that there seems to be an instability that we have not been able to identify which may (or not) be attributed to the use of this technique.  The symptom is LabVIEW from memory immediately at some point.

  I am currently looking into migration towards 2010 LV, and it seems that the same constraints between instances of the application are in place.  I expect that, but I was expecting some more simplified with the next version of LV interprocess communication methods.

  I want to produce animations with a hand drawn feel. What is the best way to go about this?

  What products Adobe would be best suited for this - I'd like the animations to run websites produced in HTML5? Would draw individual frames in Adobe and then export it to Flash and then export as HTML5?

  I would use a pen to do the drawings. Does this mean I have to buy an ipad and stylus or the surface pro? Are there other options? What is the best way to produce illustrations hand-drawn in the following Adobe?

  Some of my answers have 1 line, some have 2, some even 3 lines. Any recommendations on configuring my Quiz slide so that the boxes to resize automatically?

  (1) I need layout manually each slide where one or more of the answers takes more than 1 line. It takes some time.

  I try to avoid long sentences in MCQ, but if it is necessary to have several lines (you can also reduce the size of the police) and I want to shuffle is my workflow:

• Tips on how to make Windows Media Player DVD playback are not the player of Tosh

  I don't want to use the Toshiba Media Player pre-installed to play the DVD, I want to use the Windows Media Player installed. I can't change the default to WMP in the Panel DVD player as the only options are Player Toshiba or Nero.

  WMP can play CDs, MP3 etc but cannot even play DVDs in the drive. Anyone got tips on how to change this?

  VLC Player is much better than WMP.
  This small utility of s dealing with almost all possible formats and not stress much on the hardware.
