Hello

The easiest way to see if the error occurs due to the memory card is to remove them and restart the unit. If the unit works properly without resend memory.

I found what RAM modules are compatible with your device:
256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
1024MB (PA3313U-1M1G)

All modules of this are tested with your laptop model and they should work fine.

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro 4300 - memory upgrade problem

    Hello

I know that the issue has been already discussed several times, but it seems that none of the solutions or suggestions posted earlier apply to my situation.
I recently bought an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300. The laptop has a slot filled memory of 64 MB module of the system's total memory was 128 MB.
Because in my opinion, the system has worked to slow down, I decided to buy an additional memory module. I bought 128 MB - module TOSHIBA PA3005U k and placed in the slot B

I was very surprised when I found that, after the upgrade, Windows showed that the total memory is 192 MB.
When I put the 128 MB in the slot module is and the old module of 64 MB in the slot B - the surprise was even bigger, given that windows showed only 128 MB.

I first thought that the slot B is defective, but in this case, it would be impossible to get in the first place the 192 MB. Then I thought that the new module of memory was either defective or it was 64 MB instead of 128 MB, but this option is also likely, according to my observations. Furthermore, I checked with EVEREST software system and it recognizes the new module as 128 MB module, but does not see the old 64 MB module.

The situation is quite strange. Does anyone has an idea whay happens?

    Kind regards

    Sebastian

To my knowledge, the 4300 Satellite Pro can be upgraded to 320 MB max.
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=5769&ft=m&St=3

64 MB module which was fitted with your laptop should not be removable.
So in this slot ONLY this 64 MB module could work properly.

I know it's strange but the computer world is sometimes strange ;) you know :D

  • Sat Pro A60 - screen backlight turns off after the connection with the Vodafone 3g data card

I have a Sam Pro A60 which took a mounted Vodafone 3g data card. It connects OK data card but then the screen becomes 'empty' you can see the icons if you get the light from the window in the right direction, but permanently unusable.

A reboot and the screen comes back. Are there keys, I can try to put light or ideas to test if it's a hardware or software problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It s a very strange problem. But I'll try my best ;)

I noticed a similar problem on my second book. The display light didn't stop but the blue screen of death (BSOD) appeared and I could not continue my work.

After a lengthy investigation, I found some useful tips.
Someone told me that I have to disable HT technology (Hyper-Threading Technology) in the system BIOS settings.

    It's a key!

As I remember the Satellite Pro A60 also supports this Hyper-Threading Technology.
You can disable this function in the Toshiba HWSetup tool, in the CPU tab.

Check it out and maybe it's a key as in my case.

    Dude good luck

  • Satellite Pro 4600, memory upgrade

I have twice had problems trying to upgrade memory to my Satellite Pro 4600, so I decided to ask directly if Kingston KTC-SO133/256 MB is compatible with this machine?

It's the SODIMM I'm about to try next, but I have to pay for it first.

Problems were that the SODIMM modules is not compatible with the wonderful piece of memory or it won't work at all with Toshiba.

Is there an availave list what type of bars of memory are compatible?

Sorry, I can tell you that I use the Original from Toshiba 'PA3069U - 1 M 25' memory (its a KIT of MEMORY of 256 MB)

    works great!

    Hello

    I have a Satellite Pro L10 Celeron M Processor 360 1.4 GHz / XP HE / 256 MB / 40 GB / 15TFT / DVD-CDRW / OneNote. I wanted to upgrade the RAM, and I noticed that in the manual it says:

Before installing a new module memory 512 MB do not forget to remove already installed memory modules.

Does that mean that I can not install a 512 MB module and more the 256 MB is already a total of 768 MB?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Luis

    Hi Luis,.

The specifications of your laptop indicates that it can accept up to 1 024 MB of RAM. If you have 2 RAM slots, so you can use any combination of modules of RAM as long as you do not exceed the maximum quotes. Of course if you have only 1 RAM slt then you must remove the original 256 MB module before insert you new 512 MB a.

Hi, I have a Satellite A60-793 and I want to upgrade the memory by adding a 512 MB of memory currently installed.

I have already updated my BIOS, I here something more, I can do to make it work?

You simply used bad, faulty or not fully considered supported modules.

  • Satellite Pro A60 - memory problem?

I have a machine at 3 years which became progressively slower, especially at the start. I installed original specification and use the installed MS Firewall and Antivirus it.

Opportunities, with more than 1 window/application open, the screen freezes during use. On other occasions, I get an error message (something like) "Out of Memory Line 56", press OK and then displays the information.

I wonder if an upgrade memory will solve these problems? Thank you

Hmmm, you can simply test the memory using the freeware as Memtest86 +.

    > was wondering if an upgrade memory will solve these problems?

Upgrade memory always improves the performance of laptops.
But the question is whether this problem is related to the fault memory or to of memory performance.
For me, it looks like a malfunction of memory.

Try to remove a module, and check if the same error message using that one module of memory.

  • PC133 is suitable for Satellite Pro 4600 memory upgrade?

    Hi all

I'm looking for an extra 256 MB memory module for my Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600. The specs say one module of memory PC100 is necessary, but I was wondering if the PC133 modules would work as well. If so, are there problems with the mixture of the modules (PC100 and PC133)?

    Thank you for your attention.

According to the information on the site of very useful memory module, it should be possible to use the PC133 144 pin SODIMM modules.

I found this info on this site:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=5778&ft=m&St=3

In addition I don't recommend mixing the different modules. To my knowledge the lower speed module will decrease the performance of the memory. The two modules will work with the operation of the lower module.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 memory upgrade

I don't have a model of toshiba satellite pro 6100: PS610L-04NVN of Singapore and it currently has 256 MB of pc2100 memory installed and I am wanting to install another 256 so I have 512, but now I would like to know:

    1. If I get the memory of a vendor of kingston, it'll work with this laptop, it is has 2 different types of memory, because there KTT3311 (333 mhz) & KTT3614 (266 mhz)?

    Hello

The memory module manufacturers are not very important. But of course the modules of memory "no name" performance not as good as other modules such as Toshiba or Kingston.
Module properties are very important. This unit uses PC2100 DDR - RAM modules.
    I found compatible modules:

    PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
    PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
    PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

If you use the same modules and only the speed is different so the laptop will use support at reduced speed.
In your case a module supports and other at 266 MHz 333 MHz. The laptop will support at 266 MhZ.

  • Satellite Pro 2100 memory upgrade

I want to update my sp2100 with additional 512 MB RAM, but the online manual and online technical specifications contradict each other.

The online manual says (on page 1-3) for the celeron
memory models max is 1 GB (CSD) and for the P4 512 MB (DDR) models
Online status product specifications up to 1 GB (DDR)
When I take a glance on the extensions page 'by 'model' on the site of toshiba 512 MB modules are available for my laptop.

    My laptop: SP2100 P4-1700/256 / 30 G, 15XT, CDW, LM
I guess it's the same as 'Satellite Pro 2100 P4 - M 1.7GHz/256MB/30GB/15"/DVD_CDRW/L/XPP sort' since that looks like mine more

Maybe 2 same-capacity modules need to be installed?

  • Sat Pro 2470 memory and BIOS update

I recently received from Win XP SP 2 installed on the laptop and the free memory is very low (64 internal, additional 64 installed)

I would like to add 2 x 128 MB to 320 MB total authorized under the current BIOS.

After doing this, the manual says in Chapter 8 on page 7 that some files must be removed by following these steps:

Click Start, and then turns off
Brand to start the computer in MS-DOS klik OK

    Write to CD\Windows - renterb]
    Write the output - enter

With XP, I can't find the option to choose start in DOS at the next startup. Is this also necessary when I add memory?

Question: why should the battery be taken out when changing the memory? Isn't out enough power?

    Hello

I don't think that you should remove all files with Windows XP.
Simply insert the modules of memory and power on the machine.
Updated the BIOS normally does not increase the available memory.

  • Memory should what upgrade I buy for my Satellite Pro A60?

Hi, I have a Satellite Pro A60 PSA65E, who currently has 192 MB of RAM and 2.8 GHz Celeron processor.

My problem came when I tried to install Adobe Creative Suite 2 on it, but it would not allow me to do so because he needed 384 MB of RAM to run it. I was wondering if someone could tell me what RAM upgrade is compatible with my machine and if it inserted in another port or if I have to get out the old and replace?

    Thank you
    Donald

    Hello

your laptop is 256 MB internal memory, I'm not sure why it shows only 192 MB. This internal memory can be replaced only by a technician. But you also have a currently unused memory slot, in which you can place a maximum of 1024 MB of RAM.

Here are the modules from Toshiba lets you:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Just want to confirm really what I got caught once before buying the bad memory. I read another thread, so am sure I'm ok with that.

OK, the RAM, I need for the upgrade of the Satellite A60 Pro is:

512MB 200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC2700 upgrade for the Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 Series notebook

I don't think that 1GIG RAM is needed for my daughter :-)

Note: On my main PC, I got defective Crutial Ballistix memory, but Crutial were very good replacing it for free.

Thank you and a Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you on this forum.

Ah, just another thing I'm not clear on.

The NEW RAM replaces the existing, in other words I have remove the 256 and replace it with the 512? Reading the user manual, it is not clear and talks about expansion module. Probably, it would be obvious if I opened it to the top, but I'd rather not at this stage.

    Thank you

  • Upgrade memory on Satellite Pro A60

I upgraded a Pro A60 with a memory of 1 GB upwards but the general tab panel /System/ watch still have 192 MB of RAM. This limits me downloading some software of safety of BT Yahoo.

Someone can advise on how I can make the machine to recognize the new RAM or is the 192 MB RAM memory different the new upgrade memory note?

If you use the incompatible RAM module, it is logical that system cannot recognize it properly. I don't know who is the manufacturer of this RAM 1 GB module, but if you want to use a consistent pick up some info on 1024Mo PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G) or check web page of Kingston.

Recently saved this PC of my friend tries to throw it. Everything is fine with the PC. It works perfectly and there is no material visible failure wihtin the PC either. He just bought a new and had no need for this one.

Before turn me this into a House mutli-purpose server, I decided to upgrade the RAM.

So I did some research and found this page: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01883661

DDR3 240-pin DIMM 1333 MHz non - ECC, Max 4 GB per DIMM slot, Total Max 16 GB module.

I went and bought RAM Corsair. Link to the product: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cmv4gx3m1a1333c9

I decided to get 2x4gb and upgrade later if I felt the need.

I was happy to install in the PC. one in DIMM 1 slot and the other in the DIMM 2 slot.

    BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I thought that maybe the slots are wrong, maybe they have to odd numbers then numbers.

So I changed the RAM of DIMM 2 DIMM 3.

    Once again, the annoying ringtone.

I even tried leaving just the 4 GB DIMM 1 and tried to start the PC, but nothing helped.

I tried a lot of different combinations with the end result is 5 annoying beeps.

After that I thought that maybe, just maybe, an update of the BIOS can change things.

So I installed Windows 7 (I can't stand Windows. Arch Linux FTW) and performing a BIOS update.

I then installed the new RAM again. Yes... frickin 5 beeps AGAIN.

I am extremely disappointed at this point. I spent already $ 70 on a computer with free access.

I read the forums here, but I couldn't find a thread with a solution for me.

Is there anyone on this forum who could lend me a helping hand?

Any information would be gladly appreciated.
