TMS - automatically check updates question

Hello

I tried searching online but that isn't a direct response to this problem, with what I am currently blocked, he has been mentioned here https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11251221/telepresence-managem...

I have followed the instructions but still have the same issue where the MSDS cannot automatically download new software.

My TMS version is 14.2.2

When the automatic software update is set to Yes, TMS tries to download the software and then I got an error message (see below)

Event log
29/04/2016 14:25 - created event
29/04/2016 14:26 - events executed by XXXXXXXXXXX
29/04/2016 14:26 - check for software updates began. Connection for the update service.
29/04/2016 14:28 - checking for updates failed. Please see the logs for more details. Note that MSDS must have access to the internet to communicate with the software update service.

The server is connected to the Internet, even when you try to use a proxy TMS still can not download a new software.

Someone else maybe solved a similar problem to mine.

Concerning

Starting with TC6.1 and later, TMS will download is no longer automatically TC software, this is due to a change in the verification procedure and download of these versions of the software.  When the new TC software is released, you will need to log in to Cisco.com and download the software yourself and then transfer it to your TMS servers.

    Re: HP Officejet 4620 e - all - in - one CZ295A

    Called to 800 HP technical support (800 474-6836) and they were uselss. Had no idea what I talked and asked me to download the software, then don't worry about updates, because it works just fine today. {very frustrating}

    My question is:

I would like to set up my printer to be able to automatically check for updates. Insturnction manual says to do, you must:

    1. On the printer control panel, press the button of the HP ePrint, and then press the Setup button.
    2. By using the buttons on the right, select update of the printer, select AutoUpdate: Off, and then select the.

My problem is that when I press the button HP ePrint my screen remains the same as if I had pressed the Home button. All I see is copy - Fax - Scan options on the screen.

I expect that when I press the button of HP ePrint I see something on the screen that refers to HP ePrint. I don't.

I activated HP ePrint, when I install the printer and have been using it regularly. So I know it works.

Anyone has an idea why when I press the HP ePrint button, I don't get the good screen?

    Hello

The biggest problem here, I would say is that your ePrint button does not work as it should not take you for just the home screen. If the printer is under warranty, you may be able to get it replaced.

Regarding your question, I can tell you that if the web service is enabled, the printer automatically checks an update once a week. The option of automatic update you speak and which is selectable from the printer is actually referring to the automatic installation of updates. There is no way to disable the automatic check for updates on your printer model when the webservices are enabled. Even if the automatic update is turned off, the printer will check for an update once a week and will inform you on the interface user to install the update. If the auto-update option is enabled, it will check once per week and will automatically install a mandatory update. Please note that this will automatically install a mandatory update. It will not automatically install an optional update. The majority of the updates we release is optional.

If you don't have active Web services, you can access the ePrint Update Setup via the integrated Web server.

    1. press the 'Wireless' button on the printer and choose option 1 to see your IP address. For example, mine is 192.168.1.13.

2 have a computer that is connected to the same router as the printer and enter the IP address in the address bar of a Web browser, such as Firefox, internet explore, Google Chrome or Safari.

    3. at the top of the embedded web server, press the tab "Web Services".

    4. install web services.

    5. There is also an option on the left side of the screen to search manually for an update of products too.

I'm sorry for your ePrint button does not, but I hope that the information above helps you.

  • disable disk automatic check at startup in Windows Vista

How can I disable disk automatic check at startup of windows vista?

    Hi HowardGarlinger,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

He would be grateful if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. you have to make the full scan?

2 did you a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

    3. are you able to start the fine of office?

Let us try the following steps to disable automatic checking.

    Method 1:

You can try the steps to disable the autochecking.

    a. Click Start, and then type regedit in the box start the search.

    b. right-click regedit.exe , and then click "run as administrator".

    c. develop the '+' for the following keys.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

    d. There is a value called here BootExecute. If bmssldr is listed in the data section and then remove it.

Otherwise follow these steps, the default value of the key is autocheck autochk *, * means every drive is checked for consistency.

    e. just add /K:C at the end before *. /K switch will disable autocheck on C: drive at Windows startup. If the final value should look like this:

    autocheck autochk / k: C

    > If you want to add more drives, the key should look like this: (by disabling the drives C and D)

    / k: D / k: C autocheck autochk *.

    > If you want to restore all default, just replace the key with the default i.e.

    autocheck autochk *.

Important:  The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information, see the article:

    Back up the registry

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, try running a disk of Windows receovery environment check.

Try running the disk drive check WinRE using the full version of Windows Vista disk and check if it helps.

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

    c. When you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    d. Choose your language settingsand then click Next.

    e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt

    f. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

    chkdsk /f /r X: (drive letter)

Note: when you run the disk check, there is a risk of data loss you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

    g. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.

If you need further assistance, please answer and we will be happy to help you.

As I understand it, InstallShield Update Manager checks for software updates in the same way that the MS Updates program works. I'm not really sure what he's looking for.

    I have two questions:

    1. what programs on my computer check InstallShield Update Manager?

    2. my InstallShield Update Manager checks the updates on Thursday evening. It is set to check for updates every week. How can I change the time of day, check updates? The update settings window does not all options for this. It only allows options to check monthly, weekly or daily.

  • Updates Windows 7 - stuck on 'check updates'...

I have a HP desktop computer.  Running Windows 7 Home Premium.  Recently upgraded to the 10 Windows (while it was free).  Discovered that even after the analysis of compatibility says 'OK' I had to call Microsoft for more help and told me that my computer was not compatible.  Asked why the analysis said it was.  No real answer not followed.  Little has been said to restore to Windows 7.  After that I have known issues.  Before the update of window 10, this computer has been running great!

in any case, I noticed recently that my computer is not updated.  When I go on ' check for updates ', it just stays on that.  The status bar does not move, but just on the 'check updates' for days.  The only way to stop it is to restart the computer.  But I know there are updates because my other computer is up-to-date (did not upgrade Windows 10 - but is currently running Windows 7).  So, I have sen the videos and articles on remove and clean up the folder "Software Distribution".  I did it several times and it DOESN'T WORK.  At one point, I decided to do a factory restore.  Took the computer to update 1.  At ran Windows Update and found 16 available updates and other things to seem to be good.  But noticed once the "Service Pack 1" has been downloaded and installed the Windows Update is blocked again.  So, I'm lost here.  What can I do?  Is there a solution?  Or should I trash this computer and buy a MAC?  Questions please ask.

    Help, please... Thank you!

  • Windows Update stuck at 'Check updates'

    Original title: Windows Update stuck

I had to recover my laptop windows 7 back to out-of-box state system. Once presented to my office, I immediately went to Windows Update to install all of the updates that I needed. After installing SP1, and restart the computer, windows update to update the update agent, so he could get some more updates. He said he would close and re - open Windows Update, which she did, but now it is stuck on "check updates".

The update that broke the update of Windows was "Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320"

I have since made a recovery of the system to the State out-of-box three times and each time "Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320" installs Windows Update is stuck saying "check updates".

I did tons of attempts to solve this problem, but it won't find more updates and I can't install more updates.

I have also experienced problems with Windows Update still looking for updates when Windows Update 7.6.7600.320 has been installed automatically after the system update to SP1 (it was after doing a clean install of Windows 7).

    The following worked for me:

    1. manually installing KB3083710

    2. manually installing KB3102810

    3. restart the computer

    4. run the Windows Update Diagnostic tool to reset Windows Update (support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058)

5 restart the computer again and search for updates

Recently, I started the download for Windows 10 using 'media creation tool. When the Setup program is started, it got stuck on "check updates", it's over an hour now and it is still stuck at 0%. What am I supposed to do?

There are actually two options in creating media tool:

    • Update this PC now: Automatic Download, Installation. You don't need to do anything. You try this option.
    • Create an installation media for PC:Download an Installation file. When downloaded and opened, you find a setup.exe to run the Inplace upgrade. Make sure you only download the installation media according to your system.

Use method 2 from here and follow as said.

Then after the download is complete, you must run the Setup program to upgrade your system. This is the guide:

  • Windows Update does not end: "check updates".

Today & yesterday I tried to run Windows Update on my 2 computers Win7 (64 bit), a desktop computer (as a HTPC) one and the other a laptop ASUS.

Other software (Adobe, Skype, etc.) on these 2 p. Update OK.

These 2 PC updated successfully at the beginning of the month, 7 & 8 April 2016.
For operational reasons, both of these pieces are set to be updated MANUALLY (not automatically).

    The laptop is used rarely.

My main pc (Pro Win10, i7, 64-bit Office) is updating OK. Update runs automatically.
In other words, my internet connection is fine.

I tried MS Fixit (two options) but NOT the aggressive option.
I also run the Update Agent - the file wuaeng.dll version 7.6.7601.19161 poster.

I have not yet run the system update readiness tool, but may do so after I have let the laptop mode 'Check updates' for a few hours.
