  Try restarting/resetting the router.

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  I have two switches, as follows:

  Switch #1 is a SG300-20, L3 mode, *. 254.
  VLAN3 is 192.168.3.254.
  VLAN10 is 192.168.10.x.
  VLAN20 is 192.168.20.x.
  1 port is a port of access on VLAN3.
  2-10 ports are the ports of access on VLAN10.
  11-19 ports are on VLAN20 access ports.
  20 port is a trunk, PVID VLAN3 untagged VLAN 10 and 20 are marked.
  A cable connects port 20 to port to another switch 10.

  Switch #2 is a SG300-10, L2 mode, peripheral IP set to 192.168.3.253.
  VLAN3 defined as same switch #1.
  VLAN10 is defined as same switch #1.
  VLAN20 is defined as same switch #1.
  Port 1 is access ports on VLAN3.
  2 to 5 ports are ports of access on VLAN10.
  6-9 ports are ports of access on VLAN20.
  10 port is a trunk, PVID VLAN3 untagged VLAN 10 and 20 are marked.

  The question that I have is that any PC on any port on any switch, I can browse any of the VLAN IP to *.254 and access management SG300-20.  However, if I try to go on any IP of the VLAN to the *. 253, it expires and can not access.

  The only way I can access the SG300-10 management is by directly connecting a PC to the switch 1 Port 1 or switch 2-port 1 or 10, setting the PC to a 3.x IP IP.  I can then navigate to *.253 and it works.  How can I ensure that I can access the management console from any PC to any port?  Thanks in advance.

  Either way, everything else works as it should.  The DHCP and DNS server on the switch 1 Port 9 to 192.168.20.1 works very well, and the Internet connected to switch 1 Port 2 to 192.168.10.1 is accessible on all three VLANS.

• Problems accessing the HP Recovery Manager after the installation of new copy of Windows 7.

  I have the HP Pavilion dv6 (2043us) originally with Windows 7 Home Premium. A recent storm crossed in my area, which seems to me to be the cause of a corrupt hard drive file that prevented Windows startup. My extra fathers using copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (is a prominent IT guy for his company, he has a lot to lose) I decided to install it from that rather than using the HP Recovery Manager in order to save my files (Windows Startup Repair and system restore failed, and to restore the default factory was not desirable) as I mentioned it because of my desire to save my documents) I have installed on the same partition as the original windows, allowing files to be viewed in Windows.old.

  However, after all that, I came to the will to restore the default settings. However, after you press (esc) and (f11) to access the Recovery Manager, it is bring up the Windows Startup logo and the login screen. Is it possible to access the Recovery Manager and restore the default settings? If so, how should I do this? As I said, I left all the original parts intact, so I do not think it is possible after some research, but I'm not sure how to start the process.

  This method to get the active recovery partition was first introduced to me by Cheryl here on the site. It may or may not work.

  Right-click on computer and click Manage > search in the list on the left, and then open disk management. You should see the recovery partition it. Click right and whether it is active and the next time that you start it up, it should boot into the recovery partition and restore back to the factory.

  I just bought a new wireless router, hoping that I'll be able to more easily print with my p1102w.

  Internet access works ok desktop and laptop (wireless).

  However, I had bookmarked the IP address of my printer, and before, I've always been able to access it by clicking on the bookmark. I checked the range of IP addresses for the router, and the IP of the printer is outside this range, so I don't know why I am no longer able to access to this. I can't access the web interface, whether they come from my laptop or desktop (wired). However, the printer is capable of printing from the desktop without problem.

  How do I enter this? I would like to restart the configuration wireless configuration, but I thought I needed the web interface for this.

  I should just insert the CD? I made a tweak or two and would prefer to keep all the settings of the printer even if I can, but I can start all over again if I have to.

  I just deleted the printer on my laptop computer, reset the settings of the printer default and then run Setup from the wired desktop wireless utility wireless. Seems to have worked, I can now access the web interface via my laptop now.

  Click in the table of your Web Service deployment.

  Scroll down to the section modules and components. Here, you should see a tree that contains Web Services.

  Click your web service

  Click on the test tab

  Open the tree and here, you should see the link to test client.

  If you have the location of the WSDL file, you can also add: http://adminserverhostname:7001 / wls_utc /? wsdlUrl = forward, for example,

  OK, I think I understand what you're saying. The problem is that it does not show the left pane with a smartcut.

  Here's a tip. Add a button of 'Service '. Add "Information Toggle Pane" as the service.

  When you click the button that will open the left handle in HTML view panel. You will then see row and column and you should be able to switch the dimensions as needed. I just tested and it works.

  Using Win XP Home, everything on PC is in excellent working condition.

  Click on one or more Extensions, Plugins, or appearance in the left column of the screen of the Add-ons Manager. Do so only once corrected the problem for me.   Recently, our site is accessible outside of our network. Can access the House, phone etc but not at work. I am just welcomed with "cannot display page" site is hosted by an external company. We run server 2008r2 in an environment terminal server. I tried to disable the antivirus, firewall and could not see anything on the cyberoam firewall that might prevent the site to connect, even if I did have a lot of experience with the cyberoam. I can't ping on the website of the local computer or servers. Hope someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

  Thank you, its all right, was able to solve the problem. I discovered that it was a DNS problem. Created a new record and the site is now accessible.

  I can't to any microsoft Web site.

  Sounds like a DNS issue.   Use nslookup to check.   Use ping n 1 w 1 to attempt to cache a browser search.  Use ipconfig/displaydns to check if the search is cached.   A problem with many Microsoft research is that they have several alias and have very short life values.   It is very difficult to take any advantage of cached searches.  An alternative is to substitute the search using your HOSTS file, but then the IP addresses of host Microsoft tend to be transitory.  In fact, this point suggests something to check first: make sure that there are no replacement of microsoft in your HOSTS file.   Remove them and do an ipconfig/flushdns, if there is.   ; )

  Hi Anhinav,

  Because the reader is not 'extended' Web Services will not work on the drive.  They are, however, (as you noted) work in Acrobat, which is "extended".

  Web services to work in Reader, you will need to purchase the LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

  One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
