• How to change Windows 7 product key

  Windows recently told me that my copy of Windows is not genuine. I got this copy for a little over a year and a half now with the problems. So I bought another key and any of the other options seem to be working. This includes: Enter system properties and then clicking on the 'change product key' (option is not there), the use of slmgr.vbs in command prompt (command not recognized) and using "activate windows" (does not open).   Update: my slmgr.vbs has been disabled (slmgr.vbs.disabled) so I used the command line method, and it worked.

  If you managed to 'activate by the normal procedure', then you have an installation of counterfeiting.
