To pause an excerpt in prelude to stop Media Encoder encoding

I get nine clips in Media Encoder from the prelude function ingest.  When I type 'K' to stop to set an In point - on a clip in the preview window of the prelude/Ingest, it also stops the Media Encoder.  This slows down the encoding process and if not noticed, could stop him for along period of time.  Is it possible to lock this point, so 'stop' does not work on both applications at the same time?

Hi trigs.

Thanks for trying the Prelude workflows and highlighting the problem.

I got your message, I tried the following:

  • Transcoded clips to ingest as a prelude. SOUL would begin the transcoding.
  • Reopen dialogue to ingest as a prelude.
  • I tried JKL keys on any clip to the previewed image and click on the K button.
  • Observe current transcoding in the SOUL.

I found no significant difference. Maybe I'm missing something here. Please highlight if I need a few different steps.

I also checked key hotkeys SOUL and found no shortcut for K -key, so I don't think it should stop transcoding.

Can you cite the following to give me a better idea on the problem:

  • version of prelude you are working with the help--> on Adobe prelude
  • OS version
  • The problem occurs with only specific file types? If so, can you share these files?
  • This happens all the time or sometimes?

During this time, do not use K key to the shuttle stop. You can directly use I or keys O to starting with the J/L keys points.

I hope it helps.

Thank you

  • Media Encoder has stopped working. Need urgent help.

I have a project that I'm trying to make. There are a lot of clips of old DV camcorder, I managed to copy mpg2. They play very well, and I can put a few together and make it very well. I put them all together in a final movie of 2 hours. Whenever I try to make it I get the message "Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 has stopped working" and it closes. There are no model when it arrives, as 15% and sometimes more than 50%.

I try to restore to the format h.264 with all default settings. This setting works very well with some clips so I don't think it's a problem of encoding/formatting.

I tried some things that I found on the removal of preferences and cache cleaning and also turn off encoding GPU, and it makes no difference.

Help, please. What is the problem or what I am doing wrong?

Sorry, I forgot to answer that. I managed to make it work by pointing a fan of the vents on my computer. Then it must be an overheating problem. I guess I should do an interview

  • Install the Prores presets in Adobe Media Encoder. Will not be shown in prelude

    Hello world

I installed presets for Prores in Adobe Media Encoder.  Follow the instructions to import the Media Encoder presets.  But when I go to transcode in prelude I don't see these options.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

I have had no trouble to create a setting preset in Adobe Media Encoder and have it appear in Adobe prelude. Please try this: Ingesting media clips

I do not know the legacy presets, that you try to download are actually functional in the current versions of Adobe applications, or not. I guess not. If they do not appear, you can seek to create new ones, as described in the help.

    Thank you

  • I can transcode my AVCHD to DNxHD files in Media Encoder, but when I ingest through prelude, Media Encoder fails.

I'm more educated long form of student projects to transcode the AVCHD material in Quicktime using the codec, DNxHD (which is installed and then loaded into Media Encoder preset).

I am doing this since it is the workflow suggested in this article:

Video and audio glitches. AVCHD video

He worked many year the CS6 last, but this workflow doesn't work at all in CC2014.

When I transcode directly through Media Encoder, the process works well, but if I ingest using Prelude (where students choose to transcode files, set destination, etc.) Transcoding fails and we get an error of SOUL. Don't know why it would be different right transcoding in Media Encoder...

We work on computers running Windows 7.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    HI -.

There should be no need to transcode the media. Premiere Pro and Prelude should be able to manage the native format very well.

But with regard to the question of transcode: can you please let me know exactly which versions of the products you use? Also please specify exactly what SOUL preset you use.

    Thank you-

    Michael

  • Prelude CC sees no presets in Media Encoder CC

I am new to this, but get help from someone who put it in place and it works in an earlier version of the software (s), so we are all two a baffled!

I have set a preset in Media Encoder CC, but I when I go into CC prelude to use, it does not appear in the list of options.  However, I am able to see and access the pre-selection in the first CC. No amount of deletion/relocation/cursing helped, and I see nothing in the software that would turn it off.  I'm running a Windows 7 box.

Any ideas out there?  (stupid computers!)

Unfortunately, I only know on a Mac workaround, but it might help as long as you can follow directories and could help the Mac users who suffered the same fate.

For some reason, SOUL puts the presets in a new location without prelude to know about.  Communication of the patient.  Basically, Prelude is looking in one place for the presets and the new Media Encoder is put it elsewhere.

The solution is to find where SOUL is placing them and move them to where prelude is looking for them.

On a Mac, the solution is to take the user presets - Documents - Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder - 8.0 - Presets and move to where the prelude has always looked for them and where SOUL always stored the.  User--Library--Preferences--Adobe--Common--AME--8.0. on some machines, Adobe has created an alias inside of here to point to the Documents folder and that solved, but for some reason it is incompatible.

  • Do not stop media service

I have a problem with the press service on my R6250. Thanks for your help Dexter, but I think it's the solution. I only need genius to diagnosis anyway, so having its closure as the standard seems to be the sensible option. It will also save you time.

I have Windows XP Media Center Edition and some time around Christmas, the Media Center Guide stopped updating.  In turn, the recorded tv has stopped working.  It's been over 3 months later and it still does not work!  It all started when my computer updated.  It's updated several times since then and has still not solved the problem.  Help, please!

    Hello Jen_1918,

I suggest that scan you SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

    a. click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box and then click OK.

    b. at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

Note: Could you prompt to insert the Windows XP CD.

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • WMP 11 - How can I get rid of the long pause every time before opening of the media?

Whenever I start to play a song in WMP 11, there is a long pause before start and whole page crashes. It is never used to happen before I reinstalled XP and had to download WMP 11 recently again. It occurs when the songs play continuously, only when I play songs individually. It's really annoying and time consuming, especially if I want to compare different songs.

Does anyone have an idea what is the cause and, most importantly, how to fix?

    Be happy!

It still looks like a driver/hardware problem. Have you checked the Web site of the manufacturer of the sound card for the latest drivers?

Alternatively, you can try to lower the hardware acceleration tab of the DirectX Diagnostic tool Sound 1 .

If it still does not help, then I suggest that report you the make and model of your card its here. Someone else might be able to provide some useful suggestions. Another option would be to contact the support of your sound card or the computer manufacturer.

    A few ideas and questions...

Publication (save) your project to the WMV format to a folder on your
hard drive and then import the WMV file that is saved in DVD Maker can
be worth a try. If it is a large project... you can create several more small
video files and each of them, would have become a scene (chapter) when you
    import the Group DVD Maker.

It is sometimes useful to... Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and
    Uncheck all filters.

The project may be too large or complex for your system resources.

What is the duration of this project?

What are the formats of files of your source files?

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, wmv

  • Stopped Media Player library view multimedia files.

I am running XP Pro SP3.

The Medial Player 11, my songs and other multimedia files intercepted in the library. I cannot add them to the library and can't add new files to the library.  It is a new problem that began a few days ago. I had the media files for about a year without prior problem.

In library view, reads the message, "there is no element in the library again, the player is looking for digital media files in the background, click here to add files to the library now."  However, nothing appears.

If I try manually add it to the window 'library', the player search files and indicates that he found some, but none are added.

I still have my audio and video files in their files on the C drive.  Media Player will play them fine if I double-click on them in their folder or open on the file menu in Media Player.

I tried the following, but had no success.

    1. I tried to get Media Player to rebuild the files/databases in accordance with the instructions on the Microsoft Support Web page (Article ID: 925718"You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11")

    2. second attempt :--> %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft - deleted file Media Player

    3. also uninstalled / Rollback and reinstall.

None of these answers have managed.  I don't know what else to do.

I'm happy to and will enjoy additional ideas or an other.

  • How can I stop the windows media Encoder 9 block programs

whenever I try to install studio video u-lead on acer Paolo, to halfway through the encoder windows media 9 said a planned program could not be executed - why is - this?

FWIW... Uninstall Windows Media Encoder and obtaining
Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 can be something to consider.

  • update of WinDVD stop Media Player DVD playback

So this one took me by surprise.

I've updated my software InterVideo WinDVD (from 4 to 5) using the update available here on the Lenovo Web site

Now when I open Windows Media Player to play a DVD, I get a message indicating that:

"DVD playback is not enabled for this drive. Click on [OK} to use InterVideo WinDVD Player for playback. "DVD playback... I would like WinDVD to play this DVD. »

So I click OK and the DVD plays fine in WinDVD.  But I want to play in WMP... I like just the interface better.

Any ideas on how to enable WMP to play the DVD?  He played them well until I update of WinDVD 5.

    Thank you

I was so happy that it seemed that Lenovo was trying to solve my problem by posting a new update of WinDVD from their download site:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-56646

The readme file seems to indicate that he would treat my problem of not being able to play DVDs in Windows Media Player.  Unfortunately, it is not not to be.  After uninstalling and reinstalling the new update, I get the same result: WMP is able to read the video but not the audio from the DVD and I get a message indicating that WMP was not allowed to read the DVD I would use WinDVD instead.

So I uninstalled WinDVD, searched my stash of older programs and found one for PowerDVD from CyberLink.  It's an old one (version 4 of 2003), but it did the trick.  My solution is to use instead of WinDVD PowerDVD. WMP plays very well on DVD.

I should have just stuck to WinDVD 4 my system initially provided with, in 1st place, rather than trying to upgrade to WinDVD 5 since the Lenovo download site.
