  I tried to implement a sequence that uses the same code for all steps module in the order, but I'm not returning to it when I need to send it commands.  I got regarding the appellant the VI in a new thread so that it can be executed asynchronously.  I can run the simple sequence and it will indeed open the VI and move to the next step.  When I close the VI manually from the front, the TestStand sequence is completed, as planned.  So it turns out that I have a lot more work.

  My question is how to call the thread separate from the main sequence and other sequences overtime when I need to change the settings.  If I insert a step in the Action, I have to select a file of VI, but from what I can tell, it opens another instance of the file and does not provide an interface with the other asycronously running instance.  My next guess was to use a stage of education, but I was not able to understand how to configure the search string to call the VI settings.  In addition, I don't know how to proceed.  Please notify.

  My intention is to start the module code (asynchronously) VI, run several different subsequences in the main sequence, which call this same VI and edit its settings, close everything and report the results.  If I'm understand how TestStand is supposed to work, please let me know.

  What I do is use a queue to send data to the asynchronous VI.  So he can run and whatever, but also receive orders from the queue.  I use a motor of Action that contains the reference to queue and sends the commands.  If you really just call the engine of the Action of your sequences.

  Hello!

  My company recently installed captivate 6 on 4 machines.

  I would like to know if 4 people can work on different parts of the same project simultaeously on different machines and then can consolidate into a single Captivate 6 file as a single project?

  What are the disadvantages of this... or is there any duplication of work involved in this?

  This causes problems for the project in terms of links in the project, clickboxes, etc.

  Because when I open a captivate project 4 who has had several clickboxes with a jump of X or slide setting the project in captivate 6, all the joints of mailboxes got click related to slide 1 of the project.

  Am I likely to face such questions when I'm working on a project in captivate 6 on several computers and consolidate them in the end?

  My recommendation is that if your 'project' is the creation of a course or a number of course, then you should be modularising it so that there will be a CPTX file for each module.  No two authors can work on the same file CPTX at the same time. But if you have all of the project files saved in a repository check-in-check-out of a certain type, then you can control access as you wish.  Each author will have to check the project file, that they work, download it to the hard drive of their own PC and check it after registration and closing of Captivate.  Under no circumstances try to have authors working or access project on the network files. It's asking for trouble with file corruption.

  Another precaution to take is to have all authors use the same directory for the working files structure on their PC.  These files should be ideally NOT in their own profile folders My Documents because then the paths may not be the same.

• Can I use the Time Capsule wireless for multiple computers without using it as a router?

  I am looking for an external backup for 2 computers drive.  I have a desktop iMac and MacBook Air.  I like the idea of being able to back up my MacBook Air wireless, but I need to make sure that it will work the way I need to.

  I already have a wireless router that works well for me, I don't need the time Capsule to act as a router. I'm just needing a wireless backup drive.  So, the question is, can I use the only time Capsule as a storage device for backup of wifi or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?  My fear is that the router service is not as good as the router, I currently have.  I live in a big House of 2 floors, making it very difficult to receive a strong signal throughout the House.

  Time Capsule need to connect to your router/modem existing using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.

  If you plan to use the time Capsule to back up your Mac with the help of the application Time Machine on every Mac, the Mac will have to save on the wireless signal Time Capsule for the process to be officially supported by Apple.

  While it is possible to turn off wireless on the Time Capsule and try to save it to your existing wireless network... and it pourrait work... but there will be no Apple support backup problems... so it would be a good idea to plan to use Time Capsule wireless backup purposes.

  I currently use Fusion on my MBP 17 ". I think to buy a Mac Pro. Is it possible to use the same virtual machine on both computers (not simultaneously). I would keep the VM files synced, much as I currently synchronize them on my NAS.

  I know that when I just copy a virtual machine on the same machine, Fusion detects the change and asked if I moved or copied the VM. I'm OK with having to select 'copy' whenever I run Merge on both machines, as long as the virtual machines themselves are intact and usable.

  The new scenario would be that I run Fusion on Mac Pro, most of the time, but when I need to travel, I can also run on the MacBook Pro.

  I "move" computers virtual between the hosts and the various external drives fairly regularly.  In fact I run same VMS under VMware Player on a Windows PC and Fusion on my Mac.  As you described I never run them in 2 different places at the same time and, therefore, whenever I wonder that I pass my VM, not copy them.

  The only time where you have to answer that you copied a VM is when you expect to run it at the same time / same machine than the original.  I have a starter PC that I do when I need a purpose special VM for some reason any.

  If you use your SIN as more of a mechanism of backup that is fine and no doubt very convenient.  My experience is that performance with a virtual stored on a single drive NAS computer is not acceptable in reality nothing to do with the virtual machine.  I recommend FW400 or better than the interface for virtual machines stored on an external drive.

  Looks like you get this error message concerning the exhaustion of the memory of the application no matter how little you actually run. I would like to start by resetting your PRAM first:

  Lightroom 6 trying to copy pictures to a different directory than what is Lightroom 5. That's why you have the problem.

  You can change the directory where you are teaching LR 6 to place photos, or change the permissions on this directory to read & write.
