TOC navigation

I have a presentation set up with the visitation page earn points, a few interactive games (big things people Adobe!) who earn once played points and a number of total points at the end. The problem is that his return to the previous page in the table of contents seems to not work very effectively, particularly his back to games (Millionaire, memory, Jeopardy). So, if people want to replay the danger, for example, after you have moved beyond in the table of contents, they may not come back. Is it possible that I can work around this problem so that the table of contents are completely navigatable?

Happy to help you. Please mark the thread as answered.

    In this case all navigation is made impossible by default, sorry about that. It's the same for the bar of reading, not only for the table of contents navigation.

    If you have only a slide before the test, I recommend you to look for another solution: a normal issue of slide, but don't add his score to total score or create a custom question slide.

  • EPUB3 - TOC (navigation) - the unwanted 'level' / dash under the first TOC title?

    Hello

    I use InDesign CC (2014) and export to ePUB3.

    The table of contents has at least 2 levels and export using "Multi Level (TOC Style). The table of contents Style has all the styles that are defined at the level of the first or the second. However when the EPUB is created he puts the first TOC title as the first level (in its own < ol > tag), then all the other titles of the table of contents at level 2 and 3, even if the first title in the table of contents should have been placed at the same level i.e. it should not be only 2 levels 3?

    Anyone know how to stop what is happening?

    Thank you very much.

    I just worked on what I was doing wrong - his works now.

    In the InDesign "TOC Navigation" style that I had no level 1 styles defined in level 1 and level 2 set to level 2. Instead I put them as level 2 and 3, so I think it was confusing things.

  • issue TOC navigation EPUB

    InDesign CC 2014; OS 10.9.4

    I can't get a hidden layer, with style is applied in the dialog Table of contents, to export to epub TOC navigation. When she shows, it exports perfectly, but not when the layer is hidden.

    Yes, everything that will not work because the table of contents of the navigation don't be built not quite the way you think it is.

    OCD "impression", which is what you get when you run the function Table of contents and the place in history resulting in InDesign, returns to export as any other story. Although we treat it specially in some respects, what we don't, is that history to create the table of contents of the Navigation EPUB.

    This table of contents is generated on the fly during export, using a variety of methods, one that is use a table of contents Style. If you have not changed printing 'TOC' then both go out pretty much the same, but they are independent.

    At present, the only way to get what you do is to edit the EPUB after exporting with a tool appropriate, such as oxygen.

    What you are trying to accomplish is quite reasonable, we just do not offer support for that in InDesign at this time.

  • EPUB TOC navigation question

    Only, I formatted my first ebook with InDesign and it exported to EPUB with the help of InDesign CS5.5 of Lynda.com for series EPUB. I also have it converted to the domain .mobi for Kindle. I wonder on is with TOC navigation. In its current form of each new chapter has a chapter number image, below and to the chapter title under the picture. The number and title are text and are used to create the table of contents for navigation using titles for table of contents entries names and the number of page breaks. Everything has worked very well, but as the .mobi will not allow embedding fonts lose part of beautiful typography associated with this piece. I've seen other ebooks on Kindle that use images for each chapter title. I would like to be able to do this but I'm not sure how to create the table of contents navigation without any text styled to point to each area of the chapter title. The internal table of contents is very well that it is just a page of links to the file .html for each chapter in my InDesign book file. I like to just be able to create my chapter headings in Illustrator and save comme.png/.jpeg to save the typography, but always be able so that InDesign can create a functional navigation OCD.

    Here's what I do. I type the title of this chapter at the top of the page, the way I would like it to appear in the table of contents. I assign it to a paragraph style that is only used for this text. After export, I opened the EPUB in Sigil and edit the CSS. Find the section h1 for the paragraph style, that you have created and change it to have a very small police and a white color. This will make invisible on almost all the eReaders, yet always 'present' and able to be included in the table of contents. I call my style "cover" (because the first time I use, is to write the "lid" over the image of the cover on the first page).

    {H1. Cover}

    do-family: "Times New Roman";

    font size: 0.1em;

    line-height: 0.2em;

    text-align: center;

  • Several Tables of contents, ePub TOC navigation

    Re: http://forums.Adobe.com/message/5608816#5608816

    The EPUB uses the single name in the Options of the EPUB Export:

  • TOC navigation does not appear when exporting to epub, suggestions?

    Hi all!

    I created a document from the Table of contents in the book that I created, but when I export for Digital Editions the TOC page shows just totally blank. It's my first epub, and I don't know if I'm set up right. Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, how to solve it? Thank you very much!!

    When you say that the entire page of TOC is empty, what do you mean? A table of contents for navigation is displayed in the Navigation pane on the left of the Adobe Digital Editions software. In iBooks, it descends from the icon of content at the top of the page.

    If you place a table of contents created by InDesign, it will not appear on a page to EPUB created from InDesign CS4. This is because it is not considered part of the flow of the main story. You will need to manually create a table of contents, which appears on a page with references.

    Ah, it was for WebHelp. Don't see that...

    For WebHelp, it's easy. Paste the code below into whutils.js. Note that this will not work on local Chrome. This script works for RH8 + WebHelp

    var prevBRS = 100; / * prev page key key code * /.

    var nextBRS = 102;/* Key code of next page key */
    var prevBRS = 100;/* Key code of prev page key */

         var topic = GetTopicPaneBRS();
         if(event.which == nextBRS) {

  • Issues of TOC, navigation and playback bar

    Ok. I have some questions. Let's see if I can get it all in one post. Start the brain dump and Eric (Yes, I'm Eric. Yes, I talk to myself when I can't understand something. Yes it helps... usually.) :

    I want my learner to progress through the access to his own lesson. I have a pretest, then scattered into 3 sections w / exam questions. At first, I have a "menu" with 4 buttons slide to direct you to each section etc. Somewhere along the line, I lost my browsing the table of contents. In the settings menu of support, I chose 'Self Paced Learning' and 'enable Navigation '. Unfortunately, the "navigate visited slides only" is also selected and grayed out where I can't deselect. On the reading Publisher of skin bar, front and rear buttons are also dimmed and deselected. None of my quiz (graduated pre-test or review questions) report of responses.

    I've been bustin' throughout the day of google searches and can not understand. Where am I wrong? S.O.S. yo... S.O.S. I will provide info that I left aside if necessary to resolve this joker.

    Thanks in advance,

    It's because of questions before the test. They caused the settings you mention to be greyed out. The only way to escape from the IMO is to remove questions from pre-test and replace them with normal questions.

    What was your objective with these issues before the test?

    Yes, I think that you can't really do much with the TOC design and layout, but I would like someone to prove me wrong... Maybe you could try to export a Captivate project finished flashing, edition of willingness to here and compile in Flash as you suggested, but I never had luck actually getting it to compile correctly. (I guess that this feature is only there to make you reach a roundabout idea of how things work). I just tested this out, and I don't think it puts even the reading/table of contents bar in the exported FLA, they seem to be separate.

    The other solution you suggested, having a wrapper shell 'accommodation' presentations is a good and it would be appropriate, but with a lot of work. However, you will need make the menu custom Flash which houses the s embedded SWF and find a way to control the internal variables of the SWF integrated to control reading/slides. (This is possible and are found elsewhere in this forum)

    The disadvantage would be that the only options available in the variables being access to slide numbers, you would have probably coloring edit and redo parts of the menu for each new project, you cannot access the names of slide of Dove.

  • CC of InDesign, export ePub book, does not text paragraphs source anchor

    Hello

    In InDesign CC, I created a 25 chapter book and a table of contents in a separate chapter in the beginning. The table of contents are created as desired. Now I want to export this book to ePub and create a table of contents navigation in it. First of all, the drop-down list does not show my OCD saved-style, only the default. It only shows this TOC style when I export only the document "Table of contents".

    I check the box "Make anchors text in paragraphs in the source", but export ends with error messages "missing anchor text" and the TOC navigation shows the filenames instead of my chapter names.

    These beautiful export and create text anchors and TOC navigation functions only work when the whole book is in one document?

    I would appreciate an indication as to how I can get this to work.

    If you don't see your Style of table of contents in the drop down menu then the most likely reason is that you haven't synced all of your styles through the book.

    In particular, the document in the book referred to as the 'Source of the Style' is where we wait for the table of contents and metadata Style.

    In the Style of table of contents, you must check the option "Include book Documents -" then the anchors will be created through the book.

  • Customize the table of contents for epub book

    Hello

    I have a book in ID CS6 file, containing ten chapters, each in its own starting with style heading 1 to "Chapter 1", "2", "Chapter 3" etc. It also contains more documents to cover, notes copyright, acknowledgement of receipt, info editor etc. (not quite formatted).

    Well, when I export to epub and open it in Adobe Digital Editions a table of contents is generated from all the documents, the names of files.

    Is it possible to exclude the entries, I want to be there?

    In addition, I can control the text of each entry? for example, the "cr.indd" file, I want the Notes"copyright" text in TOC.

    Thank you

    Short answer: you can control the TOC navigation by creating a table of contents Style (layout > Style of Table of contents) and including a paragraph style that you want that pulls the titles that you want in the table of contents.

    Then call on this Style of table of contents in the general Panel of the EPUB export dialog box.

    Looks like you need to get some basic information on creating ePub files. Here are the two best sources I know:

    (1) the books of Elizabeth Castro:

    http://www.elizabethcastro.com/EPUB/

    (2) videos of Anne-Marie Concepcion on Lynda.com. She produced videos on creating EPUB from InDesign CS5, 5.5, and 6. www.Lynda.com. (if Bob Levine sees this, it will add a free link of the week for Lynda.com).

  • horizontal single publication now goes to a black screen during a rotation vertically instead of locking int

    There is a new parameter that should be checked to keep in the horizontal view?

    Readers think that the number of the journal is not downloaded or is broken when they hold the iPad vertically and all they see is a black screen but can still type and see the TOC navigation pages.

    The horizontal only is stayed locked in place through our number 4/30. Then with question 5/7 (and every week since then), it was not locking in place. Our updated App was with the number 4/16, so I don't think it was a setting we disheveled on the app. Folio builder has a new parameter, that we must keep Horizontal? Producer Folio?

    Please do not forget that your folio was created with the value of single-direction "intent". We have an outstanding bug where tests 'control upstream' edition are not blocking when the document is incomplete. Right now, you will see empty pages when orientation is not met. We expect a fix for later this week to replace preflight tests, after which you will receive an error for lack of guidance.

  • Problems with CHM search & Index after you import the Word Document

    Greetings,

    I recently inherited from all things RoboHelp at work, but the last person to work with our projects left 6 months ago. I received a brief overview of how our CHM files are from the same word in HR 7 HTML document.

    Currently, I use RoboHelp HTML 9, but have problems with the indexing and search of an imported file in Word 2003 (.doc) features. During my import, only a single topic is created and named after the source document. I believe that this may be the root of my problems, but have not had much luck with a solution.

    I have stumbled my way through adjustment after adjustment, but feel I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ken

    Background:

    Our source documents have a working table of contents and topic structure 1 - 3. When creating a new project and import the document, the table of contents are imported correctly. TOC navigation links seem to work fine.

    I used the smart Index Wizard to find new keywords to topic titles and the text of the topic. Unfortunately it seems that import only creates a single, named subject according to the word source document and associates so all the keywords of the unique subject. When you try to navigate the index after the CHM is generated, all the links reference just the beginning of the document.

    When you use the search functionality in CHM, only a single result is returned for any search words. This result is always the only subject, as described above. The link to the results always picks you up at the beginning of the document, but highlights the key word throughout the document.

    When you import there is an Advanced button in any of the dialog boxes. Click and you'll be able to Paginate against selected styles. That will stop your document in the headings.
